The local town of Sabinillas is also within easy walking distance. The famous golf course at Valderama is less than 10 minutes by car. The port of Sotogrande, (5km) Marbella (20km) and Gibraltar (20km) are within easy driving distance.

Lovely apartment plenty of room spacious terrace centrally located for the beach bars and restaurants everything about our holiday was brilliant would go back again.
We have just come home from 2 weeks in this apartment. We have been coming tonMarina de la Duquesa for 16 years and have had a few apartments in this complex. This was by far the best It was perfect. Terry greeted us with keys and went through everything we needed to know which was nice because we have only ever picked keys up from a safety box or shop. We also had his number for anything we needed help with during our stay but thankfully didn't need to bother him. Plenty of storage in bedrooms Shower in en suite which was so much better than getting into the bath. A separate shower for the second bedroom. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. Lounge really comfortable and TV and WiFi were brilliant. The outside area was the highlight tho. Plenty of room to relax in the evening and very private. There were plenty of beds around the swimming pool and gardens and never had a problem with getting one any time of the day. Only thing we could say was the pool didn't open until 11 o'clock but understand the complex must have rules. The sea is only 5 minutes walk anyway! There are many lovely restaurants within walking distance of apartment and a very handy shop for bits and pieces which is open late. All in all in the 16 years we have been going this was the best 2 weeks and apartment we have had. Thank you very much Harriet and Terry
Superb location. Excellent correspondence and communication with owner. Apartment as described. Only negative comment, friends found the single beds uncomfortable. This did not spoil our stay. Would stay again
The apartment was nice and in a great location, there were a few small things that needed to be fixed which we notified Terry about and unfortunately the twin beds were not very comfortable. There was no visitor information other than how the TV worked, which would have been useful, especially about where to put rubbish and swimming pool opening hours. Overall lovely stay and would stay again.

Very close to bars and restaurants, no hills or steps to navigate.
Great area, lots of choice of places to eat and drink. Very pretty marina with a nice boardwalk along beach.
Quite a standard, basic apartment but has everything you need. Good wifi, tv and aircon.
Bedding and towels ok, maybe could do with upgrade but not essential.
Downsides -
Pools all closed due to drought ( just tough luck, so no fault of owners)
Drains in main bathroom stink ( issues in whole complex, reading reviews)
Garage doors directly below bedroom very noisy, quite annoying once heard and quite frequent ( again, not owners fault, its just where apartmentis situated in block.)
All in all i would say this apartment is what it says, and i would definitely book again for the area and convenience of everything.
Estupenda urbanización con varias piscinas lo que facilitaba que siempre hubiera tumbonas disponibles. Tiene vigilancia y portería. También un pequeño gimnasio y una pequeña sauna.
El apartamento está muy bien aunque necesitaría algo de actualización en menaje de cocina (un dia pedimos una sarten nueva porque las que habia no estaban en buen estado y nos la trajeron al día siguiente), platos, copas y vasos muy justos.
Parte del mobiliario no está en buen estado (nevera, una silla de la terraza...).
El aire acondicionado y la gran terraza son geniales. También el acceso a la playa tan cerca.

Ha superado nuestras espectativas. La situación es ideal, en primerísima línea de playa, con todo tipo de servicios alrededor, y al lado del puerto deportivo con mucho ocio y restauración. El mobiliario correcto, la terraza genial para nuestro perrito. Tenía también detergente, pastillas de lavavajillas, jabón de manos, papel higiénico, etc. Bien equipado de menaje y con electrodomésticos nuevos. La zona de piscina también muy bien, siempre había hamacas disponibles a pesar de ser agosto. Muy buena comunicación con el dueño.

No puedo qujar, porque el precio es bueno, y acepta mi perro, otros sitios que aceptan mascotas valen mas de 600 euros por las 3 noches, aqui pague 257 euros por 3 dias, lo unico que me molesta es la cubertura de movil esta regular, se va y viene a menudo, eso tampoco es culpa del dueño, asi que por el precio comparando la calidad le tengo que dar 5 estrellas 🌟 gracias !

Poca comunicación, y aún esperando su respuesta a mis quejas!
Aunque este “especialmente indicado” a extranjeros no es normal que no tuviésemos ni toma de antena para ver la tele. Estoy en España y no podíamos ver la tele !!! Solo canales en inglés!
Además de fallar ñas llaves digitales para acceder a la urbanización y estar dependiendo de los de seguridad para entrar y salir.
Sin contar que por motivos de morosidad del propietario no tuve acceso a las actividades de la urbanización que se anuncian en la pagina y por las que considero que pague!
Al cobrar por adelantado es difícil conseguir un abono parcial como corresponde.
Una pena, buena ubicación pero por lo demás un desastre!

Probably best position of any apartment in the development. Large private terrace with good outlook. Very comfortable bed. Nice furniture.
Owners, and the property managers, must have worked hard to improve the place as I saw none of the negative issues I read in earlier reviews. It was all really good.
I would definitely stay again.
This is our 2nd time here and love it. Improvements do get made which is nice, there was a new bed :) only thing we would say is a bbq would be lovely (as such a big terrace) and worth asking for an extra gate fob :)
Third time we have stayed in this apartment and we think it’s great. It’s nicely located on the quieter side of the apartment complex and only a short walk to the harbour and beach.
The improvements made to the apartment since we last used it were good - love the new walk in shower and the new bed in the main bedroom.

Fantastic Location
We have just returned from a 6 week holiday and although the apartment had a couple of minor issues which can easily be addressed I would highly recommend this property. The location is right next to the beach and a minute's walk from the main Port where all the bars and restaurants are located. The terrace is south west facing and is really protected from the strong winds which can come in from the sea. It is a pet friendly apartment and both of our dogs loved lying on the terrace or enjoying playing on the beach or walking along to Sabanillas or Castillo. We hope to return to a Duquesa next winter and hopefully enjoy as much sunshine as we have just experienced.

Good location but very uncomfortable stay
We arrived at midnight to find not even a toilet roll left for us. Had to wait until the morning for shops to open to get toilet roll.
Dishwasher was not working and kept tripping electricity which meant we had no hot water for a day as it had tripped electrics which heated water.
Hot water only allowed one person to shower and then it went cold.
Master bedroom mattress was unbelievably uncomfortable and no mattress protectors were used on any of the beds.
Tv reception was terrible and vertically unwatchable.
We were incredibly disappointed with our stay and would not stay here again.
