**PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING**
The Carriage House is the ideal home base for those that are planning to spend more time in the great outdoors, rather than indoors. This petite studio suite offers simple living with the basic amenities.
While the Carriage House was added at a later date as a residence that was separate from the farmhouse, the farm itself and main barn, dates back to the late Civil War Era. It also sits along the John Hunt Morgan Heritage Trail, the route Confederate Brigadier General Morgan took during his raid on Southern OH.
With it's rolling pastures, it will be too easy to get lost in a daydream on the back patio.
The shared walking trails offer a quiet hike through the woods.
On the other side of the woods, you'll find a small seasonal pond.
And in the evenings, the fire ring is a great place to unwind and maybe catch a glimpse of the deer that frequent the pasture on the hillside.
Enjoy stargazing? The backyard offers a perfect place to view the night sky!
The Carriage House is also centrally located to everything the Hocking Hills region has to offer!

The Carriage House was perfect for our honeymoon! We enjoyed how secluded and quiet it was out there. Seemed to be in a nice area right between Athens and Logan. The hot tub was amazing. The listing was completely accurate and I made sure to check customer reviews & photos so we knew what to expect when we got there. The grounds were super nice and we enjoyed walking around the paths on the property. There was a nice selection of movies but only 1 board game so we left TROUBLE for others to play! Would highly recommend for your getaway & would love to stay again! P.S. there is a book there that guests write in about their stay that some people overlooked.

Absolutely adorable little retreat. Amazing views, so good we didnt need the leave the property to explore the hills, but its only 20 minutes from Ash Cave and other popular sights within the park. The carriage house was cozy and well equipt (even has stacks of firewood for sale on sight for convenience), it was clean and smelled amazing. The owners were very communicative and accommodating. My husband and I cannot wait to come back.

Very welcoming and cozy but our biggest complaint was the size and cleanliness of the shower. We also didn’t like the back door to the back porch only having one small lock that can easily be broken but other than that, it was kept up well and essentials were provided as well as a list of attractions and restaurants!

The best part of this property is the deck and hot tub out back. The room is very small with very old carpet and furniture, they have area rugs that you constantly trip over because they bunch up. There is a moldy musty smell throughout. If it wasn’t for the back deck and hot tub we would have left a day or two early. There is no hot water in the bathroom sink and it is very slow draining. The grill is very very rusty and old and the firepit is falling apart. We did not contact owners with any of our concerns as most are things that they obviously know about and we were there for our anniversary and just wanted to make the best of it.

My husband and I stayed here for his birthday and we loved the cabin. The cabin was clean, cozy and inviting. We were happy with it being pet friendly and our fur baby enjoyed his stay too. Shannon and Nick (hosts) were very responsive to our questions. The hot tub was very relaxing , and the cabin views were beautiful. Thank you for a very pleasant time!

If you can find a rental, or even a hotel room, with a private hot tub and yard for less, please let us know. We also cleaned the day prior, and were not made aware of any issues of ants (and other bugs) during this guest's stay. We're Nick and Shannon, owners of Nine Pines Vacation Rentals in Hocking Hills. In 2017, we decided to sell our cleaning business and take the leap of moving to our favorite place on Earth, Hocking Hills!
We love providing a place to stay for people, and giving them the opportunity to fall in love with the area also. Even though this is the hardest business and job we've ever had, it's also by far, the most rewarding. We hope to pass this business on to our children someday.

Why they chose this property

The first time we saw the farm, we immediately knew we couldn't pass up the opportunity to own it. Even though the Carriage House was originally built as a Mother In Law suite, it works perfectly as a simple getaway for the couple that wants to be close to everything Hocking Hills has to offer, but not at the huge cost of a fancy cabin.

What makes this property unique

Nine Pines Farm sits along one of most scenic roads in the Hocking Hills region, and part of the 'Windy 9' scenic routes. This property allows you to take in the scenery of Appalachia, without ever leaving the farm!
