Our host Patsy was a terrific host! She shared some key events taking place while we were there. Her support team was available when we needed them. Their beautiful home and amazing deck provided wonderful memories!
The lake house was perfect for a family vacation. The lake view was nice backdrop for all our meals on the deck. The house had plenty of room for to sleep and relax.
We had a large group and absolutely loved the property. The views were priceless, it was very close to everything, and was very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
It was great to beat the heat and enjoy some family time at Eagle’s Landing once again! We kayaked on the lake, hiked the trails, played corn hole and ladder golf, shared meals and watched the Paris Olympics in between it all! A few memorable days….never long enough!

Great location and perfect home for large families!
We loved our time staying at this home! Very spacious home and the layout is perfect for large families. Great location and close to the village, grocery stores, ski areas and beautiful lake front view. We will definitely be coming back! J Arnold
Plenty of room and privacy for 6 of us and wonderful to see Big Bear Lake almost full. We enjoyed the new upper and lower decks and sunsets from the upper deck were memorable. Check in and communications with both the property manager and the owner were easy. Overall very satisfied with the property and experience.
We were able to comfortably fit 13 family members here for the weekend. The kitchen was well supplied for large family dinners and the kids love playing pool and fuzzball. Thank you!

Beautiful home in a great location!
This home was perfect for our family get away. The layout of the home is really nice with a large family room and dining room where we could all be together. The bedrooms were clean and far enough away from everything that you could get away if you wanted to. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need.
Gorgeous view overlooking the lake with a beautiful sunset at dusk. The home is also close to the village which has many restaurants and shops!
Loved our time at this lake home and would love to come back sometime!

Property is in great shape. Very comfortable with such a lovely view.
We had a wonderful stay. My 3 boys and our 2 grandchildren all enjoyed the comfortable house with plenty of rooms and activities to keep us busy. The kitchen has everything you could want and the private dock was just a short walk away. We enjoyed the large decks and jacuzzi tub in the evenings. It was a memorable trip for my whole family. Thanks Patsy for your attention to all the details and your quick responses. We will be back again.
Best,
Terri
My family and I had an amazing time at this home. It was cleaned and stocked with the essentials. The host and management company were friendly and responsive to our needs. It was clear that everyone wanted us to enjoy our stay.
We loved launching our paddle boards from the dock, fishing, watching the meteor shower and eating meals with the family. Everyone loved renting a pontoon boat and getting out on the lake!
Fishing licenses and paddle board registration are available nearby. Big Bear has plenty of restaurants and shopping. We were impressed by the antique car show that weekend.
I would love to return to this property for another trip.
I had a group of 13 and this place was awesome! We had a great time hanging out, cooking in the large kitchen, grilling and using the hot tub. It's about a 30 min walk to downtown Big Bear and a short drive to many activities. We biked, hiked, and rented a pontoon. Note: there were not beds for 13 but plenty of couches and a few pull out mattresses. I was a little afraid we would be cramped but this house has tons of space on multiple floors. Communication with the owner and property manager was simple, helpful and prompt. We had a blast!!
We enjoyed the trip, the house was nice and clean right on the lake. Patsy was fantastic and communicated great. We brought our boat and we’re able to dock it right in front of the house. The water levels are a bit low but we were still able to dock our boat and enjoy the lake. My only issue would be that in the summer the house gets pretty warm in the afternoon with no AC but it cools down pretty quickly in the evening. Great place, we would stay here again!
When we booked Patsy's cozy lakeside cabin, we didn't know the biggest storm in decades was on the way. Our group of three families including 5 kids found this home spacious, entertaining, comfortable and accommodating. I was right at home in the kitchen with everything I could need to whip up a batch of cinnamon rolls from scratch, slow cook pulled pork and assemble lasagna. With blizzardy conditions for most of our stay, we were delighted that that driveway made for a great sledding spot and the surrounding property provided plenty of exploration for the kids. Bonus points for the property manager who arrived as soon as we did to plow the driveway and shovel snow off the walkway and stairs! I can't wait to come back for a summertime trip! Thanks for the memories!
We had a great time staying at Eagle. We stayed w/ four families and it was definitely enough space for us. The location of the lake is great which provided awesome sunsets in the evening. Everything was working as advertised and the prop manager was very responsive to our questions.
The only thing I would advise for any future renters is if you're going to use the jacuzzi, be sure to turn it on at least couple of HOURS before using. I made the mistake of thinking it was going to heat right away (which it didnt) and the kids were kinda disappointed but they had fun anyway. To warm the jacuzzi quickly, the cover needs to stay on while the thermostat is cranked up for at least a couple of hours.
In summary, everyone in our group had an amazing time. We all highly recommend staying at Eagle!
Just got home from a wonderful weekend with our kids & grandkids celebrating my 60th birthday. Hurricane Hilary didn’t stop us, this house was beautiful!!! Spacious, cozy & clean and it has everything you can think of that you may need for your visit. You truly only need to bring your clothes & some food. I loved how the cabinets in the kitchen has labels on them to easily find and put away dishes. Kitchen has everything you can think of! The upper outdoor deck has a bbq and a beautiful 10 person patio table that we enjoyed. There is a huge lower deck with spa, fire pit with seating and ping pong that my my grandsons 7 & 10 enjoyed. It was great to just let my granddaughter 2 & 3 run around on the lower deck and not be worried they’d hurt themselves. You can tell the owner Patsy takes very good care of this home. It warmed my heart this morning hearing my 7 yr old grandson Merrick say this was the best Big Bear house he has ever stayed in. (My son’s family have stayed in a few) Thank you to Patsy & her family for opening up their home to allow us to enjoy ❤️
We loved Eagles Landing! It was absolutely perfect for our Thanksgiving holiday. Keep in mind when reading my review that we were there for 4 days and never left the house (we were literally snowed in), other than to go out and play in the snow.........all 9 of us, including 4 grandchildren ages 3-10! There was more than ample room and even after 4 days we never felt like we were on top of each other and couldn’t get our own space. The bedroom set up couldn’t have been better. Two bedrooms on the main floor and two on the bottom floor. All were very nice size with super comfy beds. The kids even enjoyed the bed up in the loft during the day. Each family had their own beautiful, spacious bathroom. The living room was large and had plenty of seating for all of us. There was a large dining room table that we all sat together at for our meals, including our Thanksgiving feast. The kitchen was large and ridiculously well stocked. A ton of dishes, big pots, stock pots and skillets. Plenty of big bowls, a hand mixer and a crockpot, just to name a few. They even had a zester for me to use when I made my lemon pie! With 3 days of snow, the game room was a lifesaver for us! Between the pool table, foosball table, Pac Man game and all cards/board games, the kids (or adults) were never bored. The view from the living room/dining room looking out over the lake was stunning. However, the view out the large kitchen window was one of our favorites! The snow falling on the houses, fence lines and trees was beautiful! We got a kick out of watching our cars get buried a little more each day, until they disappeared. Nobody minded cooking or doing the dishes with that view! And there is nothing better than a jacuzzi in the snow! It was fabulous! Communication with the property manager and owner was excellent from the very beginning. I can’t say thank you enough for working with us from the beginning to the end of our trip to make it the most enjoyable and fun Thanksgiving that we have ever had!! A memory that we will always treasure! I will be recommending this house to all of my family and friends, for any time of year. We would love to come back in the summer so that we can enjoy the decks and the lake! Thank you for everything PatsyAnn!!!!
Everything about the lovely home and the kind host are wonderful. However, we were very surprised that people should not swim in Big Bear lake because of weeds and algae. Not being able to swim at all during our lake vacation was a big shock and we ended up leaving early. There was a big storm before our arrival that exacerbated the problem, but it is a regular issue that due to previous droughts, there is much algae along the shorelines. I spoke to a city parks and rec employee at the marina who said he never swims in the lake because of the poor water quality, the algae and smell. Property manager suggested we could rent a boat to swim in the center of the lake, but when we rented the boat, they said it's illegal to swim off of rental boats and that the lake sheriff would ticket us for swimming off a rental boat. We were also surprised at how down-trodden the Big Bear area was. A big recreational center was closed and listed for sale. There is only one restaurant along the water (it has great food and Bloody Marys!). At least 6 waterfront homes in our neighborhood were listed for sale. I was torn about writing this review, because the owner and property manager are really kind and the home is so fun with a gorgeous view. But I don't want other tourists who fly to the Big Bear area and spend thousands of dollars to rent a home like we did to realize they are coming to a lake where it's smelly and mucky to swim and not the vibrant lakeside community that Big Bear has the potential to be. I understand we cannot control nature but I also feel an obligation to be honest for people researching the Big Bear region as a vacation destination. If you do come to Big Bear, rent this home :) It has a really beautiful view and one of the best locations along the lake shore to view the sunset. We enjoyed the hot tub, making s'mores on the fire pit, laughing while playing Pacman and foosball downstairs and having lots beds and space to spread out with our big family. There was a thoughtful welcome gift as well that we appreciated. The owner communicates really well and the property manager too. We are very grateful that given the circumstances they tried to do everything possible to make our stay enjoyable, including offering to make the jacuzzi cold and bring a big raft outside for us. Thank you!
Lakefront home with spacious bedrooms, family room and game room with pool table and foosball. Large decks and fabulous views of the lake. Jacuzzi, fire pit, grill and outdoor seating to take advantage of this beautiful property. Well-appointed kitchen had everything we needed to cook family meals. A city park with Friday farmers market is just a short walk away. Great location: close to shopping, 10 minutes to kayak & boat rentals, paddle wheel boat tours and restaurants. Excellent communications with owner, she reached out to ensure we were enjoying our stay. Highly recommend.
Great house for our multi generation family group of 9.
Well equipped , comfortable and welcoming. Good size table to all eat together.
We loved the view of the lake. Best hot tub location.
We even saw the eagles!!
This was a great trip for our friends and family. We stayed 5 nights amd loved every minute. There is a small park within walking distance for the kids. House comes fully stocked with all cooking utensils you need to make any kind of meal. There is plenty of space. We had 14 people stay and did not feel like we were on top of each other at all. We will definitely keep this place on mind on our next trip.
Beautiful property and better than advertised! Owners were super accomodating and communicative. Family enjoyed the space and all the things yo do along with our boating activities. We hope to make this an annual stay.
We took our entire family here for my mother-in-laws 70th birthday. The house was perfect. Lots of space, comfortable beds, fully stocked, and wow that view! Management was amazing as Patsy responded immediately to all my questions. Check-in was flawless. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

About the host
Hosted by Patsy Ann Lachman
The Mulder family has a long tradition of lakefront vacationing. Ron and Becky have six grandchildren who have grown up at Eagle's Landing. We have many special memories of the family gathered around the fire pit either singing folk songs or playing traditional campfire games. We have found Big Bear to be the perfect place to come together. This mountain location takes you away and yet our house is definitely not roughing it.
Why they chose this property
We chose Big Bear Lake because it is in close proximity to our separate households within the Mulder family. We owned lakefront property in Idaho which we sold to purchase Eagle's Landing in hopes of more frequent visits from our daughters and their children. Dreams have come true as we have had more fun watching the grand kids learn to ski and we have had countless fish fry dinners from the daily catch.
What makes this property unique
The lake is in your front yard. The sun sets over the water. Having the game room on a separate level from the living area and a cozy loft upstairs provide multiple areas to steal away or connect. The spa on the lakeside deck is so soothing after a day on the slopes or in the water.
