Beautiful farmhouse located on a working goat dairy farm and artisan cheesemaking creamery in the Heart of the Rocky Mountains. Nestled in the Upper Arkansas River Valley, minutes from downtown Buena Vista and some of the best whitewater rafting in the country our 3400 sqft. home includes 3 full-size bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a full kitchen with bar seating and breakfast table, formal dining and living rooms as well as a big TV/game room with a dining nook. A large loft over looks the TV/game room and has 2 additional queen beds and a full-size futon. Sleeps 8 adults comfortably. The unique attraction of our home beyond the beautiful views and surrounding landscape is staying on a working family dairy farm. Witness the day-to-day hard work and dedication to sustainable, local agriculture and food craftsmanship.

As a working dairy and creamery our operations are independent of the farmstay but you are welcome to join our regularly scheduled Jumpin' Good Goat Dairy farm tours and peruse local products and sample our cheeses at the Jumpin' Country Store on-site.

This was a very nice rental for three couples. It was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of room to spread out and ample parking for three pickups with trailers. The manager was easy to work with. We liked the short distance from town. Would rent it again.

Homelike retreat!

We had a wonderful time at this property. Tons of space, plenty of comfy spots to relax, glorious views out every window, and all everything we needed to feel right at home. Wonderful Large House and Great Location

What fun for Grandma, Auntie, and grandkids to stay on a goat farm! Huge house with great kitchen and lots of places to hang out. Fun to be so close to the animals and the big mountains in the background. BV is a sweet mountain town and there's lots of hiking around and the river to enjoy. Highly recommend for a true Colorado experience.

We had a great family reunion, five adults and a one year old. Beautiful location and the baby goats will put a smile on your face. The house is great and full of Colorado ranch life history. We also loved the cheese! We will be back.

Family fun

What a wonderful stay in Buena Vista at the Jumpin Good Goat Dairy Farm. Dawn was such a wonderful host and the property and Home were just beautiful. The home was clean and well supplied with plenty of room. Having all of the animals around created a family vacation with wonderful memories made. My grandsons squeals of delight at all of the animals and his happy smiles will forever be a memory. I highly recommend the vacation rental and really do hope I can come back another visit.

The JGGD was the perfect place for our summer friends and family gathering. We always enjoy the good times in Chaffee County, and the guest house at JGGD made it all the more sweet. Lots of space, good animals on the farm, and a special setting to get us outdoors. The kitchen and dining room were great for the times we were in. All the amenities and creature comforts of the guest house were superb. Thank you!

Very enjoyable stay

We had a great stay. The farmstay was cozy, homey and we had an amazing time. We loved the welcome package of cheese, coffee and fresh eggs! Such a nice surprise! Thank you! The kids loved the goats, horses, alpacas and the funny braying donkeys! The only suggestion I’d make is getting a few more comfy pillows! 😊 Overall - a wonderful place and we’d love to return, for sure.

Amazing farmhouse!

Dawn was the best host! She communicated with us before booking and worked with us as we didn't meet all the requirements. The check in process was super easy for us. The house was meticulously cleaned which I really appreciated! The location of the farmhouse is awesome as it's close to downtown BV but also close to Salida. We quite enjoyed the roomy farmhouse and seeing all the farm animals along with rabbits and Prarie dogs as well. We loved stating with Dawn and we'll look for this home again next time!

Spacious, rustic style home with everything we needed. Perfect space for the nine people in our group. The views are awe-inspiring. Our bed was comfortable but a couple of the beds V in the middle. No a/c but the house was cool during the day and we opened windows for a cool breeze at night. It does have hard water, which might be an issue for some, but just meant extra soap/shampoo to lather in the shower for us. The teens loved the bongo board in the loft. Great stay!

The property is just as advertised. Very clean, comfortable and spacious. Minutes from Buena Vista with wonderful views. Was a perfect farm setting with the goats and horses. Our group especially appreciated the parking, which was perfect for our two trucks, trailers that carried out off-road equipment. Area was safe and secure for parking as you traveled through two gates to get to the home. The host was very helpful in directing us to get a tire patched on a Saturday for one of the trucks. Will definitely return next year if the home is available for our family ATV trip. Thank you

A beautiful farm experience

This farm is just a little slice of heaven! The farm is a well-built establishment and excellently maintained. Everything you could possibly need is already ready for you at the home. The location is wonderful, with the mountains in view from everywhere. There are also a bunch of fun locations to visit nearby. We visited the sand dunes, cottonwood hot springs, st. elmo's ghost town, and salida for lunch on the river. All are just a short drive away. We often visited the animals on the farm as well; horses are visible right outside the back window! Thank you Dawn for sharing your home with us. We will remember it for a lifetime!

WOW!!!!

A beautiful home in a unique community! The house and property was spacious and inviting and Dawn was the perfect host. Our children loved the loft that seemed tailor-made just for them. The setting is a working farm, but you wouldn't know it. The house was secluded and quiet and we never noticed the comings and goings of customers or farm hands. We enjoyed our stay - I only wish it had been longer. We were in Buena Vista for a family celebration, and we were so lucky to find this lovely property. I only hope we can come back another time and stay longer....
