Last summer my husband passed away and this was our first vacation we took, as a family, without him. Everything about the house made us feel safe, enjoy our trip and now my kids want to come back again and stay at the house. We loved it and left a few beach items for the next guest!
Very nice quiet location and close to beach and several places to eat with good food. Nice kitchen with grocery store a few blocks away to have meals at house. Lovely home with great caretakers. We enjoyed our stay!!
We loved our stay at this adorable, recently updated, and well stocked house. Great communication with the owners, easy check-in, and wonderful location to the beach and only a short drive to the historic district. Would absolutely recommend.
We stayed for several nights in September and were not disappointed. Great place to relax or entertain. Chilled out on the back porch and hot tub and watched the birds and butterflies go by.

Thank you for the review. I am happy to read you enjoyed your stay. Your welcome anytime.
It was better than I had thought it would be. And my expectations were already high. Great location with a wonderful burrito place right down the street

Got Cha!
One dip the beautiful HOT TUB gets you, the private back yard was fantastic just one visit to the beach was all that was needed. the spacious open floor plan was excellent with a toddler We will return!
Everything about the house was beautiful and well done. It was very clean. The only recommendation that I have is that there be hand towels. We had plenty of bath towels but absolutely no hand towels in the house!!

Amazing Place!
My family and I went to St. Augustine for a couple of days in July. I am so glad that this home was available. The house was beautifully decorated and the craftsmanship of the remodel was perfect. The owners were very welcoming. The location was perfect for my teenagers to walk back to the house when they needed a break from the beach/sun. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. We definitely plan on returning. Thanks for sharing your wonderful home with us!!!!

Thank you very much for the kind review. We really appreciate it!
I booked this property back at the beginning of August/2022 for January/2023 for a special family occasion where family members were flying in from all over the country. When we went to check in @ 4:00pm there were drop cloths on the beds and paint cans on the floor along with garbage/debris piles. The house had a strong smell of wet paint! My sister called the owner and she was very nasty like it was our fault. The only positive is that they refunded our money that night, and luckily, there were rooms available at the Marriott down the street. I have never left a review for anything in my life but after this experience I had to.

Beautiful house , great location
The house was recently redone and is perfect...very comfortable, right by the beach and great local eateries. Outdoor shower was amazing! I would suggest more kitchen supplies...there were only 6 plates, 6 cups, 6 forks, etc. No dish soap or other staples you could expect to find if you’re renting a house for several days or a week. Also, the Vrbo website says 2 queens and 2 double beds. There is actually one queen, one full, and a room with 2 twin beds. Probably need to update the website. The beds that were there were very comfortable!
Brian was not as responsive with us as previous reviews stated. I texted him a couple of times while we were there and didn’t get any response. Prior to our arrival, we had asked to extend our stay, which Brian approved and we paid for, but apparently never was booked. On our way into town he called and let us know that the home had been double booked for the first night of our trip. He booked us 2 rooms at a hotel down the street, which was decent. But, Having to check out of the hotel at 11:00 and not being able to get into the house until 4:00 left us homeless with all of our things in the car all day...so it felt like our trip was cut short. Brian never called to follow up with us at all on our trip, despite the inconvenience. As I stated, he didn’t even respond to my texts.
Overall, the house was awesome. But, having stayed at a number of Vrbo properties. I didn’t find that the owners were very interested in their guests’ comfort.

Guest was double booked the first night, my mistake. To compensate I booked Melanie two balcony rooms at the Guy Harvey Oceanfront resort a 1/2 mile from our rental property. This hotel property was completely remodeled 6 months ago.
Our rental comes with 8 plates, 8 pieces of silverware, glasses ect. We do not provide more for 7 is the max # of overnight guests we allow.
If I did not respond immediately to all of Melainie's many texts, I will own that. Had a death in the family during Melaine's stay, which was distracting. Also, I just assumed questions about how many channels were on cable could be deduced by the guest.
My primary issue with this guest is that she left the house in GROSS condition.
By gross I mean urine on the walls of the bathroom , trash placed in a trash bin without a trash bag , grease splatter on the kitchen cabinets, Food in the bedrooms. Who leaves a VRBO like that?
Not recommended as guests.
Nice place convenient to beach and restaurants. Hot tub great. Needs new and more living room furniture. Second time staying there so liked it enough.

Read all reviews before booking!
The house was cute and in a great location. If you read the other reviews on this property you will see that the owner is very difficult to communicate with. We actually did not check in until after 9 o’clock at night and only then after calling VRBO support.
We had additional problems during our stay and that we had no hot water and we were only able to shower at the house one day from Thursday to Sunday. The owner did send a plumber but the problem was not fixed. We showered one time at the house and the owner refused a request for a refund. We have homes listed on VRBO as well so we were very disappointed with the resolution with the owner.
The house is adorable so I do hope that they get their issues straightened out.
I gave the ratings all a 5 but these are suggestions might help assist future travelers.
We struggled with the deadbolt lock at first as the door needed to be pushed towards you so it would unlock and lock. By the 2nd day we had a system and it worked out.
Maybe consider putting pillow cases on the pillows instead of just the pillow shams (as they are rougher fabric). The pillows on the twin beds was fine just the other two room.
We found the St Augustine binder in a lower kitchen cabinet that had lots of good info in it on our last full day of stay. Maybe, put that on the island so it’s noticeable. I know lots of info is available online and we got info from asking others as we moved around St. Augustine.
The property is perfect for a friends and family vacation to the beach. Walking distance to beach. Large kitchen and back yard to cookout and have fun with friends and family. The host was quick to respond with questions about the property. The outdoor shower and hot tub made the beach vacation even better. I will love to go back here on our next trip to St. Augustine.
We had a great time with our group of friends. The check in process was a little unclear, and we were missing a few things in the online listing, but other than that the house and hot tub were excellent for our girls weekend!
Overall great location and great place to stay. Could have used a few more beach towels in the house. Also… the hot tub appeared dirty. Not sure that it had been serviced in between stays as there was stuff floating in there when we went to use it. I was too grossed out to use it after that to be honest. There were also a lot of leaves on the patio that could have been easily swept up that we kept tracking inside and having to sweep up. The check in process was a little hectic as the code and instructions on vrbo were incorrect and we had to contact the owner upon arrival to get the correct code for the door. Despite these inconveniences, I would still recommend this home because the location and the beach were just so perfect, despite the criticism. Thank you for sharing your home.

Great place, but check-in delayed.
This was a great place with all the amenities, a convenient location, and nice owners. We enjoyed our stay, but we should mention that the property was not ready at check in. The owners did not realize that we were coming and so she had to clean it that evening. They were nice about compensating us with a partial refund for the first night, which was good.
Such a cute house! Love the patio area with the Hot Tub. We all enjoyed it and the fire pit. It has nice space for our party of six. We would stay again.....close to the beach in walking distance.
