Like someone else said, it is small but mighty! Perfect for someone wanting to explore the area and that wants to be in a rustic setting. Host is great and very accommodating. Had a great time.

We stayed here for three nights while hiking at Acadia. Great for a quick stop at night for showering and sleeping, but definitely rustic and no frills. Camping experience is probably useful for guests. Nancy was lovely and helpful. Grateful for a very hot shower!

The bathroom is an outhouse that is at least 100 or more yards from the cabin and the shower is an outdoor shower on the side of the barn. It is also at least 100 yards or more in a different direction from the cabin. The cabin is old and smelly. It was so bad that we refused to stay.

Hi Bonnie. I’m responding to your review as it is not correct The outdoor shower with hot water is loved by all. I use it myself sometimes. It is v pleasurable. 100 yards is the length of a football field. The shower is about 15 yards from the cabin as is the compost toilet. You are the first to say the cabin is smelly. No one has ever said that before. If at all it has the smell of new wood. This accommodation is far from being suburbia. It is a cabin on the edge of the woods w outdoor shower and a compost toilet. Very minimal. Not fancy. For folks who want a simple experience. A step up from camping

A cozy stay in a rural setting. Nancy was so responsive and welcoming. For those willing to embrace the outdoor comforts of a composting toilet, outdoor shower, and minimalist cabin, it really was a lovely retreat. Would recommend the morning zen sessions in the meditation hall!

The tiny house was, indeed, tiny (but mighty!) We simply needed a place to crash in between day excursions to Acadia NP and it fit that bill perfectly! The provided space heater cut the chill from the room very quickly whenever we got back and prepped for sleep, and the fire pit outside was fun. Nancy was lovely to chat with, we would definitely stay again!

After traveling since 3:30am, we hoped to arrive and crash for the night. Instead, we arrived 2 hours after the earliest check-in time, hoping to settle in before dark, to find no one there and our cabin not ready. Our host arrived after we called and asked if we found the space and if it was ready for us, to which we told her no (the previous guests trash and dirty linens were still there), We left and went to a local restaurant for 2 hours to give her time to reset. We stayed 2 nights out of convenience, but the space was not properly cleaned and there were used toothpicks, tissues, and hair clumps. We also have no problems with compost toilets, but this was also very dirty compared to a similar place we stayed later in our trip. Not terrible, but certainly not worth the price we paid for difficult check-in, subpar cleanliness, and only 1 towel provided for 2 people.
