The property was beautiful, we had deer outside the house every morning. The location was easy to get to and close to State Park. The house had lots of rooms and bathrooms. I’ve never stayed in a place that had so many bath towels. Would love to stay there again in near future.

The property felt dirty, the kitchen was ill equipped, dirty towels were discovered in the wash machine, the furniture is old and tired, matress was awful, dishwasher did not work, the place smelled musty, not sure where to begin!

With all due respect we were at the property middle of July and left it clean. My wife forgot to take the towels in the washing machine. The Dish washer works but you have to turn on the switch on the wall for it to work. We will be up there again this month and will check what you said. If you would have advised me earlier I would have sent our cleaning lady to take the towels out and show you how to use the dishwasher. I don't agree with you on the matrasses. We slept very comfortable. The furniture is not the best and we will be re-furnishing. I am sorry you had such a bad experience.

Outdated and dirty furniture and musky smell
First the good: We liked the area and spacy house. However, I did not feel comfortable in sitting on the furniture (living room) as it had food on the chair, the second chair had stains on the seat cushion. Couch was good if you enjoy sinking into it.
Ants all in kitchen area.
We had such an amazing time. The house is huge. It was a little big for just us 3 but we loved that. The river was about a 10-15 minute walk. You can go on a shorter walk but the hill is very steep. It was a good challenge. I have never seen so many deer. We loved walking around the quiet neighborhood. I plan on returning with a few other family members soon. Thank you for an amazing trip.

Kimberky,
Thank you for the nice review, it was our pleasure to have you and your family at our house. You are more than welcome to come back!
This cabin was ideal for what we wanted. The description about the cabin was very acurate! I was very pleased with with the owner provided for use to use. I was not expecting that was we had bought some stuff to cook with from home just in case. Cabin is very spacious and the neighborhood is extremely quiet. Cabin is up to date and very clean. TV down stairs had issues but my wife went through the settings and figured it out and got the color back on the screen from being black and white. My kids enjoyed the apple tree next to the cabin and also the deer that would be under the tree every morning eating away at what they could get. This was my kids first time to the .mountains and we all enjoyed it. A little ride to Jefferson if you need anything from foodlion (25 mins) but the scenery was worth the ride. Thank you for what you provided and we look to come back in the future.
We absolutely loved everything about this property. We were looking for a mountain cabin that was secluded and could get us away from the hustle and bustle of life. This cabin was spacious, clean, very nice and exceeded our expectations. The scenery was amazing and a short drive into West Jefferson made shopping, dining and enjoying the High Country an experience we won't forget. We'll be back for sure and highly recommend this property.
What can I say, this home is perfect, I literally fell in love with the location. It is perhaps the best place I have stayed and honestly I'm thinking of getting a cabin in the same location. The cabin was beautiful, it had so much space to hold 2 familys, I fell in love with the porch that wrapped around to the back. It is located in the middle of nowhere it was so peaceful and quiet, there are Deer everywhere and best of all lighting bugs my kids and myself enjoyed collecting them and putting them in jars, it felt like my childhood up there. The nearest mountains to visit is Jefferson and Grayson National Park located in Virginia. The closest grocery store is in west Jefferson it's about 30 minutes depending on how you drive, it's a nice little city with a awesome city park by the Library near downtown

Much needed up grade!!
Property manager was very polite and helpful!! Very nice house but run down!! No chairs or table on porch! Chairs we broken!! All beds very uncomfortable no box springs under mattresses 3 nights on uncomfortable sleep!! Good job of cleaning, but very strong odor in basement rooms!!
Me and my family had a great time.
We went to Grayson Highlands State Park, West Jefferson State park and we were at the Creeper Trail, Damascus, VA
This is a 3 story home, very spacious.
It is needed to be remodeled I guess, but it is charming.
Bathrooms are clean, everything was working properly.
The only thing I would say, I didn't find public dumpster for garbage, so we left it there for cleaning people to be taking care of.
There is a river near by, and you can walk around through the neighborhood and watch stars at night. They are very bright in the area.
Thank you.

Love to travel to the mountains for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of big city. My Dad was the developer of 2 river country, and we kept this house for us.
Spend 4 year of my young life living in a small town and this was the closet I could find to have our 2nd home.
