Villa Caneva is a 120 sq.m. stone built villa, located on a hill surrounded by trees next to the village of Prines. Only 10 minutes away from Rethymno town and the beach this renovated villa was formerly an old traditional aqueduct built in the 1950s! It offers total privacy in a relaxing village. The villa can accommodate 6 guests in its 3 bedrooms and up to 8 if needed.



Indoor Layout
On the ground floor, youll discover a spacious living room area complemented by an indoor dining table, fireplace and TV. Adjacent to this, a fully equipped kitchen awaits your culinary endeavors, while a convenient bathroom with a shower completes this level. The kitchen conveniently connects to the barbecue area and garden, making outdoor dining a breeze.


Venturing to the first floor, youll find three inviting bedrooms and another well-appointed bathroom with a shower. Two of these bedrooms feature plush king-size beds (1.60 x 2.00) and open up to A charming veranda, while the third bedroom is home to a bunk bed with two connected single beds. All bedrooms are thoughtfully air-conditioned, and the stone walls of the house help maintain a comfortable indoor temperature. The spacious veranda is equipped with an additional seating area, enjoying beautiful views of the surrounding area and overlooking the pool.


Outdoor area
The outdoor area of Villa Caneva is beautifully landscaped and surrounded by trees and lush flower gardens, offering privacy and seclusion. The facilities of the outdoor area include:
- A private swimming pool with ladder access. An outdoor shower, sun beds and umbrellas for relaxation by the pool are available at the pool terrace.
- Fully equipped barbecue area with charcoal grill for outdoor cooking and an outdoor dining table for al fresco dining.
- Ample lawn covered space for children to play.
- Parking space inside the villa premises.
- The whole property is fenced for added security and has a gated entrance.


INFORMATION ABOUT THE AREA

The Villa is located in the picturesque village of Prines. From the villa you can walk to the local tavernas in Prines. Additionally in Prines there is a mini market, a butcher and a gas station. The rest of the amenities such as larger supermarkets, bakery, pharmacy etc are in the next village over, called Atsipopoulo.

Staying in Prines village will give you the advantage of both countryside life and being less than 10 min away from Rethymno town by car. The village itself is beautiful, flourishing with flora and olive groves.

The nearest beach is Koubes beach which is approximately 5 km away at the entrance of Rethymno town. This bustling town with its long sandy beach and its numerous amenities is only a 10 minutes drive (7.5 km). An alternative option is the quieter sandy beach of Episkopi village approximately 10 km away on the road to Chania.

Due to the location of the villa, you also have the advantage of easily visiting the South coast where you can find some of Cretes truly amazing natural beaches such as "Schinaria", "Damnoni", "Triopetra", "Agios Pavlos" and Preveli.
