Laurel Reef | Pet Friendly, Charming Home!

Welcome to Laurel Reef, a charming vacation home ready to welcome you to the beach! This adorable house has been updated and decorated in a modern, beachy style. Located on a quiet residential street on Tybee's north end, you will be four blocks from the nearest beach access and walking distance from Tybee Oaks shopping and restaurants.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom house is raised off the ground, with all living spaces on one level. Inside, the open floor plan features cathedral ceilings and comfortable casual furnishings. The living room sectional sofa creates a cozy living space with a large flat-screen TV and an electric fireplace. The dining area has enough seating for six people at the dining table and four people at the breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully equipped, with stainless steel appliances and lovely open cabinetry. The living room leads to the front covered wrap-around porch. The deck has comfortable seating and is a great place to enjoy morning coffee and evening Tybee breezes.

Bedroom 1 is furnished with a Queen size bed and has a flat-screen TV. Plenty of natural light fills the space. The attached bathroom has a walk-n shower and has been updated with dual vessel sinks. Bedroom 2 is furnished with a Queen size bed and has a flat-screen TV. Bedroom 3, perfect for families with kids, is furnished with two twin bunk beds and a flat-screen TV. The bedrooms share a bathroom in the hall with a tub and shower combination. The washer and dryer are located in this bathroom as well.

There is a bonus entertainment area beneath the home where guests can relax and play games like chess, shuffleboard and cornhole. For cookouts, there is an outdoor kitchen and game zone and an enclosed screened area that includes a hot tub. Around the side and back of the home you'll find horseshoes, a firepit area and another entertainment area with air hockey, ping pong, billiards, darts and a TV. This home is an excellent choice for families traveling with children and pets! Pets are welcome. There is free WiFi.

The nearest beach access is about a half-mile away, a 9-minute walk away. North Beach has a sandy beach but no significant wave action. North Beach is classified as a bay because it is where the Savannah River meets the ocean. You can watch dolphins play, shrimp boats, and large container ships travel to and from Savannah's port. The best way to see Tybee is by Bicycle. The home is located directly behind Tim's Bike and Beach Gear, your home for bike and beach rentals on Tybee Island.

The house is adorable, clean and great location! We could not get the internet to stay on so no tv(Olympics). Also wished there had been some heat on the ground level where all the activities were located. Great set up, but too cold to use it. Would also recommend owner/host should provide more information about their expectations and current information on places to go and restaurants.

Overall the house was great! We’ll definitely try to book here again. Plenty of towels and extra bedding and was really clean. Just a short walk to beach access. The games down stairs would have been great but the mosquitoes were terrible and we couldn’t be down there. Maybe they could spray for them to make the downstairs usable.

Short stay for a family of 6

The property is beautiful! So well decorated and kitchen is stocked well! We enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor area immensely. You definitely need a car or golf cart to get to north beach so be prepared for that. Communication was great with tybee vacation rentals.

Loved the our stay at Laurel Reef

We enjoyed our stay at Laurel Reef. The location was great, we rode our bikes every day and walked to eat dinner at several restaurants when we didn't ride. The house was so much fun, so many games to play! We sat on the balcony every evening, it was a perfect vacation. We will be back.

Loved it!

The property location was perfect for us. Everything was as expected. The downstairs game area could us a deep clean but it is outside so it's understandable. The games definitely help for a rainy day. The hot tub was clean and ready for us. We would definitely rent it again.

The home was nice. It’s in walking distance to Hucka-Poos and Zunzibar so you can stumble back home safely. We had a great time and the home was comfortable. The hot tub was good, but! While the under side is screened in and boarded, there’s a gap between boards (normal for homes of this style), and the neighbors have a camera pointed directly into that room. While not doing anything inappropriate, and clothed appropriately, it felt weird to see the light pop on aimed directly at us. Not sure if it can see in but it was still weird. But no other issues with the neighborhood or even those neighbors.

A very nice place to stay

This was an awesome place to stay, with activities for the kids as well as it was in a queit part of town was excellent. Tims bike rentals is literally right behind the house and golf cart rentals not far as well. Its a short walk to the beach but bikes or a golf cart (we rented bikes with a kid trailer on the back) was perfect! We could get to the south end of the island within 15 minutes at a leisurely bike ride. We loved thus property

Comfortable, quiet street, convenient location. It was a bit dusty, but overall clean. Perfect house for our family of five and two in-laws. The bunk room was great for the kids. It was too hot to enjoy the downstairs activities, but we did use the hot tub. The porch was peaceful and cool in the mornings. Definitely bring your own beach towels and chairs. Those are not provided. Other than that, it had everything we needed for a restful and fun beach vacation.

Quiet Family Friendly Location

The house was exactly as stated, located on a quiet street, lots of space and nicely decorated. It was a short drive to the hustle and bustle of Tybee. We also found driving to the beach was much easier than trying to walk and carry the beach supplies. The only reason we gave it a four for cleanliness is the house is due for a deep clean. When we were looking for our dogs ball we found some miscellaneous items under the couch. Overall great little house and we enjoyed our stay.

Rooms are overall clean, the location is good, but not that close as a walking distance to the beach, but only 4 mins driving. Prices were great for the value.

Nice property overall

The property was beautiful and in an easily accessible location and nobody bothered us the whole stay. They did have sand toys there for us which I thought was nice. The only thing I feel that wasn’t made clear enough was the haul to get to the beach. I wish there would have at least been some sort of recommendation as to how to get to the beach access or where to park but once we figured out the process it was fine.

Tybee island visit

Visited the island for the first time and enjoyed the layer back lifestyle. The location was great being on the north side of the island with cool areas to check out close by. North beach was less than a mile from the property and away from the never dull downtown area. Are already planning a return trip

Very Nice Stay

The house worked well for us. It was very clean and we were pleased that it suited our needs very well. The hot tub was a very nice plus. It is close to the beach, though we preferred driving to walking to it. It was conveniently located and easy to get to, and restaurants and shops are a short drive. It's too bad the city hasn't done anything about the abandoned mobile home that is next door - such an eyesore - but it had no effect on our stay. It would improve the property values of the other homes in the neighborhood if the city would do something about getting rid of it, though. Would we stay here again? Absolutely, without hesitation.
