Wonderful position sooo relaxing looking over the lake was amazing We saw 15 mute swans and caught a crayfish which was a real treat for our grandchildren Kayaks and canoe used and thoroughly enjoyed Would have liked more seating outside and a table to eat fromWindows needed cleaningBut overall one amazing stay for 2 weeks enjoyed by us all

Ahhh just what we needed - relaxed

A wonderfully peaceful gated community with an on sight spa. Great distance from many local attractions and within easy reach of Chelmsford and Oxford. We spent lovely quiet days on the lake, in the lake and around the lakes. The access to the spa gym and pool was an added bonus the family enjoyed and the ability to book treatments was taken up with pleasure. We enjoyed what the nearby villages had to offer and used the public footpaths for some easy country walks.

Perfect lake side weekend retreat

A fantastic House with large rooms. Two rooms upstrairs have their own bathroom, one has bunk beds so is best for kids (although it also has a full bathroom. The house is on the lake and the views are as good as it gets for lake side accommodation. The trees separating each property mean that it feels like you have total privacy. What could be better? Well, the beds are average, and it would be helpful to have a simple manual to cover all of the essentials when you arrive (such as working the a/c, where to hire bikes etc). Overall, a very impressive house in a well thought out and executed development. Perfect for our long weekend break. We would happily recommend this to anyone wanting a get away in a beautiful natural surrounding with lake views and we will definitely consider coming back..

Excellent stay in a beautiful location

We had a wonderful stay at this property recently. The property was in a great location with plenty to do for families. Communication with the owner was great. We wouldn't hesitate to come back!

Amazing house in a beautiful location

Just back from a wonderful week by the lake. The house is spacious and uncluttered with comfortable beds. The main wow however is it’s location - right on the waters edge. You’ll struggle to find a more peaceful setting to look out on. The kids have been out in the kayaks most days and loved being in and out of the water, while we’ve spent time just sitting on the veranda watching nature go about it’s business. Awesome. The overall site is very impressive with other impressive buildings tucked away in the woods and along the lakeside. We’d definitely love to go back again. 🙂

Great place for a family staycation

Great setting and views. Accommodation clean, bright and airy. Kitchen had all the basic condiments which was great. We had a great time.

Amazing Space

Beautiful lakeside house in a stunning location. Decor was simple and stylish, luxury beds, bedding and thick soft towels. So much space and a luxury bathroom for each bedroom.

Perfect Country Getaway with Stunning Views

8 friends rented this house for New Years. The pictures do not do it justice as the house itself was beyond our expectations- very bright, airy and open planned. It is in a gated community, with high security to get in and out. The master bedroom is massive, lovely mattresses, with en-suite and stunning views onto the lake! Lechlade is a beautiful little town, great for walking around. Elena was always very prompt at replying back to us for further information. Better instructions would be nice to work out how to use the hobs/ oven as very high tech for us! The communal pool area was beautiful and clean, with a chill out zone, swimming pool, hot tub, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. There was also an event on, with a BBQ, which we didnt get round to going, but would have been nice for families. I would highly recommend this to any group of friends or family getaways. In the summer this house would be perfect as lots of activities to do. We would love to come back to this stunning house on the lake.

Good facilities onsite inc pool (communal). Large development on the lake- huge rooms and very well laid out rooms. A lot of natural light and end to end balcony.

Beautiful modern property in stunning setting

We, 8 adults, stayed at this beautiful property in a secluded and safe area surrounded by stunning scenery and lakes. The house is stunning with all modern appliances and extras such as a working sauna and gorgeous views across the lakes. During our stay a couple of toilets stopped working which, despite it being over the Christmas and New Year period was addressed immediately by the owner the management company. The property was immaculately clean and well laid out, with most of the bedrooms on the 1st floor. The onsite spa consists of a pool, sauna and steam room. It was great to have this onsite but sadly the jacuzzi was cold and the pool, being communal, quite busy but that didn't put us off. There is plenty of parking and it's lovely and quiet despite most houses seeming to be occupied during our stay. We went for lovely walks and runs in the area and also to the recommended pubs which are a drive away. All in all I can't recommend this property enough, we will most definitely return! Tip: if you get to pick your room, definitely go for the master bedroom- waking up to the sun rising over the lake is very special indeed and the bathroom is lovely too.

beautiful and spacious house, perfect getaway

We stayed here as a group of friends leaving london for the weekend and it was perfect for us - i would highly recommend it. The rooms are clean, bright, and bigger than in the photos. We used the fireplace every night and the beds are really comfortable. A 10 minute walk away is a beautiful pool house that can be used in the afternoons. The landlord always responded very quickly so everything was smooth and problem free. On the ground floor is a huge open plan kitchen and living room - so perfect for cooking and hanging out together as a group. We were not very familiar with how to use such a high tech stove + hob so that took some time to figure out from the manual. There's also a lot of bugs outside at night because its on the water but they don't bite and there are insect screens on the windows. The view onto the lake is stunning and its worth the trip waking up to that view from the bedrooms upstairs.
