The house exceeded our expectations. Clean, welcoming and beautifully designed and decorated. There was plenty of space for our group and the privacy from neighbours was an added bonus.
We enjoyed our stay immensely and did not want to go home. The home was a lot larger than we expected which was nice given the size of our group. Home is beautiful and the location is amazing. Ron was a pleasure to deal. Will definitely book again.
What a luxury staying at this cabin! Absolutely stunning views inside and out on the deck. Every window you could see the water just about! Super clean and tidy, everything labelled and so easy to find all that we needed. Beautiful dock on the water and stunning views at night. Thanks!
We loved this place and Ron was very reasonable and helpful.We found the room description a bit confusing. There are four bedrooms with doors and one sofa pull out with a roof top balcony. It is a gorgeous area.
The house was amazing with a lot of space and room for 2 families of 4. The deck overlooks the bay to the West and we had many nights enjoying the view and Shuswap sunsets. We would definitely come back to the property again.
Our yearly golf weekend took us to the Shuswap area this year and Ron's property worked perfect for the group. The location and house was a great set up to enjoy post round and get rested for the next day. (Including a couple early morning swims). The house amenities and overall comfort made it one of the most comfortable rental homes I have ever stayed in.
Can't wait to come back.

A great cottage that suited our family’s vacation needs perfectly. Upscale, spacious, and very well appointed house complete with an Ideal location for boat rental and convenience stores in the BlindBay/Sorrento area. The private and unobstructed views of the lake provided a very relaxing and picturesque setting. Ron, the owner is very pleasant and prompt when responding to any query regarding the property and local area. Most highly recommended for a great private and relaxing vacation.
Beautiful house with lovely natural light and views of Shuswap lake. Lots of areas to visit and space out. Kitchen was very well equipped with different size pots, pans and bowls. We had no trouble finding what we needed to cook a Thanksgiving dinner. Perfect for a family gathering or to share with friends.
This property is truly exceptional and was also a great place to stay inside when the weather wasn’t cooperating. It was well stocked, above and beyond all the essentials, and was very spacious and most comfortable. Pride in ownership is evident everywhere. Communication with the owner was seamless. We will without a doubt be returning to this beautiful home
This is a property that you want to try to leave better than when you arrived so others can enjoy it as much as you did. The deck and the view of the Shuswap Lake and Blind Bay was as beautiful in the morning as it was during sunset. The Island in the kitchen are two full slabs of stone, and you burn calories just walking around it. The kitchen is fully stocked. The rooms are unique and provided privacy for all.
Arrived and was greeted by Ron as he happened to be at the property. After a quick chat he wished us a great trip. Property is amazing. View has gotta be one of the best on the lake. Deck was just finished and did not disappoint. House was perfect for us. Lots of common area but also some secluded where you could go relax by yourself or significant other if you wanted. Been coming out from Alberta for a few years now every summer and this was hands down the best place we have stayed. Thank you Ron!

What a stunning house and the view is amazing. Stayed for a week with teenage kids and grandparents. The house was spotless, well organized, plenty of seating, sleeping space, fully stocked kitchen for easy cooking, bbq was excellent. Ron was super easy to communicate with. I can understand his rules of the house, as it’s gorgeous and he takes pride in its upkeep.
Location was best spot for boating, and the dock and buoy were so convenient for our boat. It doesn’t get any better than this spot on the Shuswap.
We look forward to returning!
This property was wonderful for our first family gathering since Covid. It was light filled, spacious. clean, well equipped, and comfortable. The views from the family great room and the deck are beautiful. We really appreciated the use of kayak and paddle board that Ron left. The only down side was the lack of glass railing for the deck (to be installed). The temporary caution tape and plastic wrap that Ron put in its place was not really adequate. We had to be constantly vigilant throughout the whole week whenever the children were on the deck and the caution tape marred the otherwise wonderful view.
Apart from that...it was great!

Great view and unique property.
Pride in ownership is everywhere.
Beds are high end and comfortable.
Perfect for large family gathering as the home has much space
The only area of disappointment was the internet connection, that is initial access directions, ability to direct attachment document and the overall speed. Either the internet is set to be controlled in the home or its supplier was down but this is unlikely. This component is very important to me as I am running my business from a computer. Poor internet service can destroy my vacation time. I was forced to use Hotspot mostly on my Cell phone.

Only used 39% of the bandwidth used last month Sep 11 to Oct 10th, bandwidth resets on the 11th of each month.
There should have been no throttling down of speed.
Sometimes can be laggy (650ms to start) because it is satellite service, speedtest 5g kitchen now is 16Mbps download 1.5Mbps upload
2.4 is 6Mbps download 1.5 Mbps upload
Both were average of 2 runs
If there is a problem we have to be called and then we have to call Xplorenet.
Suggest trying the guest network also.
Long and short of it is that internet is very important to us as well
But more important for our guests.

I was expecting the property to be lovely but I was blown away by how spectacular it was in person. The view was unbeatable and the living areas have been put together with tremendous care to make inviting welcoming spaces for every configuration of guests. This was a fantastic location for our multigenerational family trip. The host was very responsive to our questions and has clearly put a lot of love and toil into this property.
For my fellow mobility impaired people, the entry is through a latched gate to the deck. There is an approx 8" step to the walkway and entry to the main living area is through a sliding glass door from the deck. You will need an able-bodied person to unlock the door from the inside and will have access to the deck and the main living floor only (with an amazing bathroom!) which is very large. The shower is an experience, with a small step up and seating and definitely room to accommodate a companion if you need assistance bathing with a multijet experience, a rainshower head and a separate hand shower. The toilets are standard house toilets, my person used her walker as a grab bar for accessibility. It worked well for us.

This was my first time renting on VRBO, and have stayed in many Airbnb’s in Canada and across Europe. I was hesitant to book this rental after reading the very descriptive ad (down to describing every kitchen appliance in the house) and the long list of house rules. We asked the host for a early checkin as we had a large group of family arriving. We arrived at the home to find Ron there cleaning frantically instead of the house being cleaned professionally and ready for us. Instead of turning the house over to us immediately to start our vacation Ron lingered around the property for 2 extra hours making the check in uncomfortable, while we were unloading our a bags we were lucky enough to be served papers (intended for the host) for a lawsuit with one of the neighbours. We followed all of the house rules, and cleaned before we checked out which is required as well as paying a cleaning fee FYI. The host came back after checkout with a list of deficiencies and extra charges that are ridiculous and are still being investigated by VRBO. Your going to pay a premium to stay in the Shuswap do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere !

Always get great reviews from guests whether booked direct through us or through VRBO.
I oversee 6 cleaner staff for our places. We are all professional and capable.
Cleaning fee is standard and only covers part of the cleaning expenses.
Cleaners are expensive plus supplies. Need the window between 930 and 4pm and to clean the very large house if left in a reasonable state. I Call in for extra support if needed.
Said they could check in early if they could work around me, as per texts. My mistake was allowing the early check in. Could of been out of the way by 4pm. My cleaner had to leave early.
Have not used any part of damage deposits from any other guests this year, this guest had damage deposit insurance and it showed in the way he left the place.
The place was not left clean by any standard. 2 to 3X the cleaning required over any previous guests.
First time we had to take pics after checkout re condition left.
Called guest right away after checkout on some upfront noticed concerns.
Stains had to be removed. Carpet shampooing etc.
3 beach chairs taken by guest, as per, guest said 'they took them inadvertently'. Not returned or reimbursed for.
On occasion, guests have notified me if any accidents happen or something fails. Which then I call & get my main housekeeper or contractors to look after it. And most cases NC.
HD glass shower door: had to hire our glass contractor to put back to normal. Upper bathroom tap pulled loose from vanity, had to hire a plumber. Was NC for these contractors.
Was a busy time for us bringing supplies and coordinating with contractors finishing grout work under the deck and on the landscaping.
Guest had inquired about cancelling his booking prior to his arrival.
Was an unfortunate set of circumstances all round and a lot of extra work.

This home was perfect for 4 couples for 5 days.Located on a high bank across the street from the lake it provides fantastic sunsets over the lake. Well equipped with everything we needed to cook gourmet meals every night. Shopping centre is located about 5 minutes down the road. We will stay again.
We had a great time at this property. Close to amenities and the water. Can’t beat the views. Ron was great to deal with on anything we needed. We will be back.
