East Zion Log Cabin - Sleeps 14 - Hot Tub + Resort Access
DESCRIPTION
A 3,000 sq ft log cabin on a wooded acre, seven miles from Zion's east gate. 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a private 6–7 person hot tub, and walking-distance access to Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort. Sleeps 14.
This is an authentic log home — heavy timber, a wood-burning fireplace, two covered porches — with a kitchen and beds that feel like the ones you left at home. It sits in a gated community surrounded by juniper and spruce pine, far enough from the highway that the loudest thing you'll hear is the wind. Deer and other wildlife wander through regularly. After dark, the Milky Way stretches straight across the sky.

WHERE YOU ARE 7 miles to Zion National Park's east entrance Bryce Canyon National Park, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, Brian Head Ski Resort, and the Grand Canyon North Rim are all day-trip range
Coming in through the east gate means you drive the Zion–Mount Carmel Highway and its switchbacks and tunnel on the way in — one of the best approaches to any national park in the country. Zion's hikes run from flat riverside strolls to multi-day backcountry routes, and the canyon walls are worth the trip on their own.

Not suitable for video calls, remote work, or multiple people streaming at once. Please plan accordingly if you need to stay connected. FROM US
We've loved Zion our whole lives, and after years of visiting we finally bought this cabin so we could share it — with our family, and with yours. Whatever you have planned, we hope this place makes it better.

This was a lovely cabin, about 40 minutes from the Zion visitor center. Comfortably fit 11 adults and we enjoyed the beds and showers, all very clean! I would definitely recommend
The house is a bit remote but within a 45 minute drive to Zion and 2 hours to Bryce. It is well equipped in the kitchen and there are plenty of towels. Lots of space for both communal and solo time.
Great place to stay for families visiting Zion. I would highly recommend this place for large groups. This cabin was very clean and had plenty of space to spread out. We didn't want to leave.
Our group came for the Zion Ragnar race and this home was perfect! It was a short walk to the Ragnar village and start/finish line. The house was so fun… hot tub, ping pong table, big hang out room, well stocked kitchen.
Great family home with lots of bedrooms and shared bathrooms. Very comfortable and well-stocked. Just a short drive or golf cart ride to Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort, with its many amenities. We especially enjoyed the home’s quiet neighborhood, porches, fire pit, and wildlife.
Right outside east side of Zion! Love the hot tub and the community! We had 10 of us from age 6 to 70 and all had space around the house! Love the community pool and mini golf! Lots to do there other than that as well!! Would have loved to stay longer with how much there is to do! Great to get to Bryce as well and over to Page for antelope canyon. Grocery store isn't a terrible drive either. Enjoyed our stay!
The house was the perfect oasis while running the Zion Trail Ragnar fitting very comfortably 8 adults. It was within walking distance from the village so we didn't have to tent it. The house was well stocked with cooking utensils making it very easy to make family meals. The hottub was the best recovery for after the race and the day of relaxing. Overall would definitely rent again.
This wonderful 5 bedroom log home was absolutely amazing! We have rented several VRBO in our years of travel and this by far was the best! The home is beautiful, had the perfect number of rooms with bed choices to accommodate teens, partners and other family. It had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t. The hot tub was a fun bonus feature that was great after long hikes in the park. Scott obviously takes great pride in this home and we are lucky to have found it four our trip. Would give it more than 5 stars if possible.
Our family of 5 stayed with my brother's family of 6. The house had plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was well-equipped and the games in the garage provided lots of fun for the kids. Our favorite thing was relaxing in the hottub after a long day of hiking. The house was a 15-20 minute drive to the east entrance of Zion. The hike from the Ponderosa Ranch to the Angel's Landing overlook was one of our favorites because it did not have the crowds we experienced in the rest of the park. Thank you for a wonderful week!

Wonderful stay. House is beautiful and well kept. Expect to pay at the ponderosa though
Everything about the house is beautifully done and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and utensils and the bedrooms have more than enough bedding and pillows. It’s located within 15 minutes of the east side of Zion National Park and less than 3 hours from the north rim of the Grand Canyon. The hot tub was cozy and the grill had plenty of propane plus more. Our only disappointment was how pricey the amenities at the nearby ponderosa were. The house is walking distance from the ranch but if you plan to utilize the pool or the horse rides or the zip line, be prepared to pay. It’s only a complaint because the House markets the ponderosa as part of the package so it’s a little misleading. We understood that they were separate entities but did not realize the extent of the costs that could be accumulated. Aside from that mild but unexpected disappointment, we had a wonderful stay in a beautiful home

Bob so glad you loved the house. There are many free things do do at the Ponderosa resort. They have wonderful nightly activities as well. Before planing a vacation its best to visit the Zion Ponderosa Resort website for the prices of all the actives. The pool is a $10 per person fee to get in. Private homes in our gated community are generally less expensive them booking with the resort.
I would recommend this property, but would check with the owner on a few things before I would go back. It seems like no one actually ever monitors or checks in on the property. The air conditioner did not work, and it was difficult for almost everyone in our family to sleep. The temp in the house remains at 78 until around 4 am where it will reach its coolest of 74. Make sure this is acceptable to you, or that it is functional before you go. The knives wouldn’t cut, the batteries in the remote didn’t work, and there was feces splattered all over the inside of one of the toilets when we arrived. The property definitely needs to be regularly checked between renters, and they should monitor the cleaners. Beautiful property and great amenities otherwise.
Eight women friends (all over 65) decided to go hiking in Zion N.P. for a week and the house turned out to be perfect for us.
Most of us had our own bedroom or sleeping 'space' and the 3 full baths and one half-bath was really a plus for us. The beds were comfortable and plenty of towels.
The kitchen had most everything we needed to cook for ourselves almost every night. We did plan our meals and shopping trip for Costco in St George ahead of time. You can't just 'run' out to the store at this location.
We also were completely happy about being on the east side of the park. The lack of grocery stores, restaurants and other shops did not bother us at all because we enjoyed the lack of people even more. There was a very short line of cars to get into the park at the East entrance. Parking at the visitor's center worked out for us because we tried to get there early. The East side is also more convenient if you want to go to Bryce Canyon or to Kanab or Page.
The neighborhood is very nice and quiet and the drive to house is beautiful. Great star gazing at night.
The host was great and no problems at all with check in.
We'd love to go back!!
The house was spacious, clean, and well equipped with everything we needed to cook great meals, relax, and enjoy our vacation. The beds were all comfortable and the bedding was clean and nice. The host communicated clearly and answered all of our questions. The log cabin detailing throughout the house was really unique and special.
Two things the house could use - more lighting in the kitchen namely above the stove. It was impossible to see what we were cooking even with all the lights on and daylight coming in. And bigger bath towels.
Highly recommended. We would go back if we were to do the same trip again.
We stayed here with our family and enjoyed our stay. Owner was helpful and very responsive. Plenty of room for a family, and good location from Zion. Good to know: the bathrooms are a but small, and there is no en suite for the master. Overall, this was a nice place.
