Cabin was comfortable, well stocked, and convenient to Estes park and RMNP, but far enough removed to be quiet and away from the hustle. We enjoyed our stay very much.
My husband and I, as well as my two adult daughters enjoyed our stay. Everything was just as expected. Perfect spot to see Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Parl. We hiked during the day, lunch in Estes and came back to relax and enjoy the cabin in the evening. We will be back.
perfect mountain getaway yet close to town. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Communication was easy owners quick to reply. Will definately stay again
Our family had a wonderful stay in this cabin. Our kids in particular enjoyed roaming the 3 acres of property and rock scrambling. Everything you could possibly need was stocked and the cabin was very clean. It’s a quiet location fairly close to RMNP and Estes Park. Although we didn’t see any, there was evidence of wildlife in the area. We would definitely choose to stay here again!

The Rock Ridge Cabin is tucked away off the beaten path, surrounded by mature Ponderosa pines and beautiful rock formations. The location is quiet and peaceful and the cabin is stocked with all the necessities. This was our third stay and we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else as Rocky Ridge is now our home away from home.
Another wonderful stay at the best house around. All the comforts of home, quiet, relaxing, and homey. This home is secluded yet not too far from town. The home is nicely stocked with kitchen and bathroom essentials which is always nice. Beautiful deck that wraps around to a covered side deck (nice for rainy days or evenings). We love this place and return every year.
This cabin was a fantastic pick for our trip to visit RMNP. The cabin was impeccably clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The property was amazing, and we all had fun meandering around the rocky outcroppings or just enjoying the view on the deck. The hosts were extremely helpful in giving us information prior to our stay. If we come again, we will certainly choose this cabin again!
My husband and I loved this cabin! It was the perfect location for everything! You could go out during the day but then come back and relax away from the hustle and bustle. The generosity and kindness of the owners is like no other!
We loved our stay in this cabin! The owners were very responsive, the kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner. There were board games and puzzles for family time. My kids loved playing on the big rocks outside the cabin. On our last morning there were deer walking right past the bedroom window. The stay was such a convenient location to the national park. Definitely recommend this cabin!
This has been our third stay and as always it was great. I could go on and on about how great it is but there is not enough time and space. If you love the mountains as much as I do, you could not ask for a better location and cabin. Kipper and Heather are great hosts and will always help anyway they can.
Property is on a county road near RMNP, near Wild Basin. A moose and calf strolled to within about 30 feet, while we were sitting on the deck. Hummingbirds galore, deer passing through, …. Quite enjoyable.
Private, secluded, peaceful home in the woods that was so comfortable and relaxing. The views were fabulous through the large A frame window and the wrap around deck that was especially inviting after a long hike. The kitchen was unbelievably well stocked with cooking supplies, coffees, spices, condiments and a few treats like popcorn and cocos. Linens were plush and the beds were quite comfortable. Our hosts were very responsive to any needs and were especially helpful about location and check in process. The nearby laundrymat at Ferncliff Market was super clean, uncrowded, and the market has plenty of quarters. We felt very fortunate to be staying at this gem of a home in the beautiful Rocky Mountains and hope to be able to visit again.
This is a comfortable home situated near the southeast corner of Rocky Mountain National Park. It's conveniently located near the less-visited entrances to the Park: Wild Basin and Long's Peak. It's easy enough to get to Estes Park and the Beaver Meadows entrance to the Park as well, and there are spectacular (and often crowded) hikes from that entrance. But the waterfalls accessible from Wild Basin are among the best in the Park.
The house has everything you need. We used the outdoor gas grill frequently and made use of the outdoor gas fire ring too. The bedrooms are small, but the beds are firm and comfortable.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this secluded cabin. The views from the patio are amazing and the sunrise was absolutely breathtaking. The cabin is very clean. The owner leaves bleach wipes and bleach cleaner for you to use in the cabin if you would like which is very appreciated during the coronavirus pandemic. This cabin is the perfect distance from Estes park and the Rocky Mountain national park. The drive to the cabin from Estes park was about 20 minutes give or take. There is no phone service but the owner has a land line for you to use if needed. The owner called us directly before checking in to tell us a little about the cabin and to answer any questions that we may have had, which was a very nice change from other places we have rented. Overall a great experience we would highly recommend it for couples or a small family.

We're glad you had a great time, Kelly. Thanks for staying with us!
Wonderful vacation with our two college-age daughters. Plenty of space for our family of four. Had four full days filled with lots of hiking at RMNP, time spent in Estes Park, and an afternoon trip to Boulder. The cabin is stocked with anything you may need and even things that you may have forgotten to bring. Very cozy, beds comfortable and the cabin is very clean! We loved having the deck with the gas grill and gas fire pit- we utilized this area most nights for supper and relaxation. The owners are wonderful to work with- great communication and friendly! The cabin is only 5 minutes from the Wild Basin entrance to RMNP which was great for one of our days of hiking. And wildlife galore! We had a moose hanging out across the street from the cabin the entire stay and even got a great video and pics of a huge elk eating with the moose one morning! Great memories made!!!
This cute cabin was just perfect for our vacation. It is secluded yet close to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. It was just me and my husband so we had plenty of space to relax. I'm sure you would still have comfortable space with up to 4 people. We arrived to the cabin after dark so it was a bit hard to find the road to turn onto but after we saw where we were the next day we did not have any problem finding it after a full day of exploring the beautiful CO mountains. The owners were easy to communicate with and were very responsive. The wi-fi was also strong. Unfortunately I had to do a work meeting via Zoom while we were there and I didn't have any connectivity issues. We had a great time and the cabin was perfect for us.

About the host
Hosted by Heather and Kipper Hesse
We are a midwest family with a love for the outdoors and nature.
Why they chose this property
We have been taking our kids to this area for 17 years. We finally had the opportunity to purchase a cabin but with busy kids, we don't get out to CO as much as we'd like. We hope you love it as much as we do!
What makes this property unique
When you walk into the cabin and see the expansive windows looking out you'll fall in love with this cabin. The land is truly amazing with the rock outcroppings, old ponderosa pines (sniff the bark --it smells like vanilla!), and aspens fluttering in the wind. Many bird species abound calling to one another. Take a hike and you'll see evidence of bears, elk, and moose.
