About this property

Cool River#6159 Cabin sets only feet from the Big Thompson River

Cozy cabin in Estes Park - Cool River sits on the Big Thompson River on the edge of Estes Park. Walk to town, shops and restaurants or sit on the deck and enjoy the river view. (this is not a secluded location) This 2 bedroom one bathroom cabin has all the comforts of home with a cozy cabin décor. Relax on one of the many decks and enjoy the cool mornings or the evening breeze.

The living room has a gas fireplace to take the chill off on those cool evenings. The large fully stocked kitchen gives you lots of room to fix your meals unlike your average mountain cabin. (no dishwasher). Gas grill off the back deck and outdoor dining space.

Short walking distance to 2 brewery's, 4 restaurants, family entertainment park and an outdoor air adventure park. All with a river just a few steps from the back deck. There are several cabins together on the edge of a small industrial complex. (storage units mixed with businesses) giving this a more private setting. The cabin does not have A/C, we have natural mountain breezes just like the Stanley Hotel. There is the potential for road noise at times.

This home is fully stocked with bed linens, towels, extra blankets, soaps, shampoo and a good start up supply of paper products.. The kitchen has pots, pans and dishes plus silverware. A standard coffee maker, toaster, blender, crock pot too. A washer and dryer with laundry pods to use.

This is the ideal location for a base camp for those who want to explore Rocky Mountain National Park and Northern Colorado.

This home is managed by Rocky Mountains Property Services, a family owned and operated business local to Estes Park.

Rocky Mountain National Park will implement another pilot temporary timed entry permit reservation system from May 23 through October 20, 2025. If you plan on visiting Rocky Mountain National Park during your stay please visit their website for details about reservations.

Perfect oasis in Estes Park

Had an absolute wonderful time! The place was immaculate, kitchen was fully equipped, quiet and perfect place to spend 3 days in Estes! Loved sitting on the deck listening to the river with our morning coffee and our glass of wine in the evening! Would definitely come back!

Great Little Cabin for a Getaway

The property is just as described! Management responded to our questions quickly and in detail. Only downside is cabins are very close to each other. Hope to come back again!

Great time and place

Loved it. Weather wasn’t the greatest as we got hit with a good snow storm and ended up losing power (no fault of the owner, all of Estes lost power). Beds were comfortable, the fireplace was great and we used the heck out of it and the location was super close to everything we needed

Riverside review

Loved the cabin. Perfect for two couples. We stayed with my parents. Location was great for both entering park and the downtown area. Only negative I can come up with was the business across the river was noisy at times but was quite by the city ordinance of 10pm. That would be a nitpick at best.

We really enjoyed our visit!! This was the cutest little cabin & well stocked. It was chilly while we were there so the fireplace was nice. Such a great back porch with the stream so close you could hear it. Not secluded but really close to town so everything was easy to get to, which we liked!! We would stay here again!!!

Cozy, comfortable cabin on the river within walking distance to the town with restaurants, shopping, and grocery stores. Short drive to RMNP. The kitchen is well equipped — although we couldn’t find a cutting board. (Luckily, we had our own in our camping gear). We were VERY happy to have a washer dryer as we had been on the road for two weeks hiking, biking, and kayaking. We will definitely return.

Property is well maintained. Nice seating outside to enjoy the river. Didn’t care for music being played all day at business across the river. Not sure kitchen plates were clean. Otherwise very nice.

The cabin was perfect for our needs. It’s walkable to down town and minutes away from RMNP. Sitting on the back deck listening to the river on the cool mornings was great. Elk visited multiple mornings! The cabin had all we needed, especially all of the basics (soap, sponge, detergent, shampoo, TP, paper towels, etc.) which you don’t always have in other rentals. Beds are on the softer side for awareness. We stayed in July and while it was warm in the evenings in the cabin, it cooled down quickly by the time we went to sleep. No air conditioning on 80 days was not an issue. Highly recommend staying here.
