The property was very nice. Plenty of room for seven adults. We liked having a garage where two vehicles could get inside when the weather changed, saw deer in the back yard, nice to relax in the hot tub and plenty of card games on the table in dining area.
Property was as described and worked out great for our family. Very much appreciate the host offering the property to us and allowing us to stay! Would definitely stay again.
The cabin was wonderful! It was very well taken care of, spacious, modern and nicely furnished/decorated. The master suites were very nice. Our family loved our holiday experience here!
What a great location! We had lots of deer visit us in the backyard:-) This is a home with plenty of space. Communication with property management was fantastic and they were willing to help us out with all of our needs. All of the beds were awesome, except the primary bedroom…that could use a new mattress. We enjoyed our stay!
We had a blast at the lazy dog cabin! It’s a very short 5-7 min drive to Terry Peak, which is exactly why we chose this place. It’s cozy and very clean. Highly recommend.

Thanks for the kind words Rachel, we are glad that Lazy Dog Lodge worked so perfectly for your group!
Lovely house, well stocked and clean. Friendly note - washing machine is ready for clean. We did not use due to musty smell. Thank you for great place to stay.
House was great! Perfect location. Plenty of rooms, bathrooms and out door space to accommodate multiple couples. Only warning is driveway is super steep and gravel so if you are coming out to ride motorcycles please be warned!! If you are a very seasoned rider or on trikes you should be fine once you have gone up and down a time or two but you will need to unload your bikes down on the road if you trailer! Would not recommend for new or inexperienced riders!!!
3 adults and 4 kids stayed very comfortably in the Black Hills Lodge. We could have easily accommodated more. Plenty of appliances/cookware for a traditional Thanksgiving feast. Hot tub was great. The place was clean. Close to Lead and Deadwood….the kids had a lot of fun in Deadwood. Driveway is steep so need 4WD with the snow.
Be prepared for a steep, loose rock driveway, but that's the only worry at this property! Spacious inside and out. Loved having multiple outdoor spaces to enjoy. If you have small kids, there is no highchair and the staircases are fairly open, so would recommend ages 2 and up. We loved that there were a variety of toys there for the kids to enjoy. The water pressure dropped day 2 of our stay, but was addressed quickly by the property manager. Great location right off a main highway. Would stay again!
House was exactly as described. It's closer than we expected to the main road, but you'd never know! You don't hear cars or anything which was really nice! Hot tub was not working during our stay which was unfortunate, but host was quick to respond to messages about it and we all just hung out inside instead which was just fine as it was a bit chilly out during our stay! Overall had a great weekend getaway here with friends!
Beautiful property. Location was awesome. Hot tub could be cleaner. Maybe due to issue with the well? There was no soap in any shower. Had to go to the store. Some of the chairs are getting wobbly around the island. Other than that a very cozy place.
This cozy home was a great vacation spot for our family of 11 (ages 2-64). We had plenty of space, rooms, and bathrooms. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked and the property was well maintained. The basement space with double bunkbeds was amazing for the kids and offered them a place to relax, play foosball, and watch tv. The backyard area backs up to a mountain and we were able to watch deer, birds, chipmunks, and butterflies from the patio and large front deck. We did not use the hottub so i cannot comment to that.
We were able to easily travel to Spearfish (check out the hatchery for a fun, free activity) and Rapid City and felt it was conveniently located to visit all of our places of interest. The book with suggestions for restaurants and siteseeing was very helpful.
The driveway is as steep as it looks in the photos, and the door to get in is at the top, so that is something to be mindful of if traveling with anyone who has limited mobility. Additionally this property is directly off the main road. Neither of these were/would be deal breakers for us and we would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
While staying we had some water issues, and the property manager was quick to respond, there and had it fixed within an hour. Great communication! Phenomenal lodge. Would most definitely stay again! Away from the business but close enough to easily join in. Very spacious!
Very Beautiful and convenient location for all things Black Hills
We really enjoyed our cabin, it was very nice and clean. Super convenient location, close to Deadwood and short drives anywhere else to get the full experience the Hills have to offer. Will book again!!!
Nice house but could use help in a few areas
Hot tub supplies (no shock). Hot tub got very gross by the end of our 4 day stay! Could also use more towels!
Thermostat-hard to believe this house only has one thermostat for 3 levels but that’s all we could find! Hotter than heck upstairs and froze in the basement. (Heat in laundry room but that wasn’t an issue)
Broken towel hanger in upstairs bathroom.
We ended up buying salt for the road. The listing said you needed 4-wheel drive and that is a fact.
Water pressure is very low. If someone was showering barely water at the kitchen sink. Washer needs to be balanced, it’s gonna shake itself to death.
Gorgeous home and we had a great time just had a few issues when you are paying that much money!
This was a perfect fit for my daughter's bridal party. It was postponed from March due to Covid and had no problem whatsoever in changing the date. I would highly recommend staying at this property. Loved it!
