Really lovely cottage! Clean, every amenity you could want for a cottage vacation and not far from great wineries and downtown Pictor. Would recommend!
My second time at Sugar Shack and this time with fishing in mind. Bob kindly lent us his rowboat and we caught some perch, bass and pike ,,, amazing! We had fish dinner every day. Many thanks to Bob and Paula for their friendly service! We will be back!

Hello
Please return anytime
Fall pike fishing is excellent
Our family truly enjoyed our time at the cottage. Limited cell signal and no screens allowed us to really relax and enjoy all the thing to do at and around the cottage - swimming, fishing, boating, campfires. The cottage is also close to many attractions, including Sandbanks PP, and is a great home base for exploring,
The perfect getaway from our busy lives, very quaint and cozy cottages with many amenities. The view was beautiful with our morning coffees, will definitely be going back!
The cottage was equipped with all sorts of outdoor activities (boating, canoeing, paddle boarding, etc.). The rooms don't have internet or a TV which really gives you the opportunity to disconnect and enjoy a wonderful lakeside getaway. It was truly a wonderful and quiet weekend escape perfect for a family.
We had a wonderful stay at here. Robert and Paula were so accommodating and friendly 😊 the kids caught fish every morning and turtles, frogs etc .. they had a great time unplugging from screens and everyday routine. Thank you so much for it was great ❤️ we will be back....

FYI we caught a 33 inch pike today
Guess what is for dinner
Loved our stay at the Sugar Shack! Bob and Paula were wonderful hosts. Stayed here with out 14 month old and he loved roaming the grounds. The proximity to PIctor and other vineyards is also a huge plus.
Definitely recommend this place! We will be booking again.

Avoid disappointments
We were very pleased with the well kept grounds and having nature at the door step. Appreciated having no tv and internet connection. Can totally unplug. Robert and Paula gave us some good information and suggestions for places to go in the area. We all enjoyed the use of the paddle board. Our Daughter and Grandkids were also happy with their stay. Would very much recommend.

Our family enjoyed a quiet but fun filled 5 day stay in the Sugar Shack. Paula and Bob were wonderful hosts and attended to our needs and many questions about the area. Beautiful deck overlooking the bay and direct access to water via the dock. Access to the stand up paddle boards, canoe, rowboat and pedalo was a huge plus and kept the kids happy and busy. We saw lots of wildlife: deer, beaver, turtles, osprey .... animals you do not necessarily see in the city. I highly recommend the Sugar Shack to renters.
All I wanted was a quiet weekend away from work and the city....this place was so great! Lake front cottage with everything you need...even a pool. Bbq on the deck, a fire pit near the lake and a comfy and cozy cottage.
My family and I had a great time and would definitely recommend it!
And the owner's are literally the sweetest couple!

Our group had a very idyllic weekend at this cottage and we especially loved sitting on the dock and the access to swimming in the lake. Bob and Paula were super lovely hosts and we would definitely book again.
