Modern Coastal Remodel I Koa Resort 1G

Fully equipped with flat screen smart TV & cable, high speed internet, IPad, printer and office desk; you will have all of the comforts of home or a hotel business center. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of your cooking and entertaining needs, including new top of the line large and small appliances.

Large sliding glass doors let in plenty of natural light, creating a bright and airy space with soaring ceilings. Brand new Split A/C and fans in every room will keep you in cool comfort. There is space for up to 6 guests with a sofa bed in the living room, a king bed in the lofted master bedroom and a king bed in the downstairs guest bedroom.

Enjoy lush garden views and meals on the spacious lanai, overlooking the large sparkling pool and a serene oasis.

The master bedroom upstairs is lofted for a spacious airy feel, yet still provides a feeling of privacy and has a king size bed. Downstairs, the guest bedroom closes off for additional privacy and has a king size bed and plenty of closet space and shelving. Each bathroom is fully stocked with all of the amenities you will need, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and aloe after sun gel.

THE LOCATION

Koa Resort is a tranquil escape located in South Maui, nestled within five acres of lush tropical landscaping. This low-density complex features amenities such as a large swimming pool, hot tub, tennis and pickleball courts, and barbecue facilities, creating a perfect blend of relaxation and recreation. Just steps away from the beach, guests can enjoy both the serene atmosphere and nearby coastal activities.

Upon arrival, easily access your unit with a keyless secure door code; no need for an in-person key exchange. Your rental will be professionally cleaned and ready for you to enjoy. You can expect all the comforts of a fine hotel, including shampoo, soaps, a starter supply of paper products, and linens.

* We are using enhanced cleaning protocols and rigorous cleaning standards in our units which include; allowing more time for cleaners to utilize our enhanced room by room cleaning checklist, sanitizing high touch surfaces, using disinfecting cleaning products approved by health experts, washing all linens at a high heat setting, and more.

Excellent First Hawaiian Vacation

It was our first time to the islands and I have nothing but good things to say about either this unit, the property manager or HawaiiLife. Highly recommend.

Beautiful little condo!

The condo itself was immaculate and perfectly appointed. Very comfortable. Parking was super easy, had to walk around from the lot to the unit--perhaps a 1.5 minute walk (at kid leg speed). Not a ton in the neighborhood in the way of shops/restaurants to walk to (that's a bit farther south) but since it's all very driving-friendly it wasn't an issue.

While it is more of a walk to shopping and dining, it is definitely a short drive, so we do recommend renting a vehicle to explore. We are so glad that you did enjoy the condo!

It is centrally located on Maui making excursions easy. There is a great kids beach located just across the street and plenty of stores and restaurants within a 5 minute drive. Our hosts went above and beyond expectations with assisting when small problems arose and providing any info we required. This is definitely one of the nicer condos at the resort. Only draw back is the road is fairly loud when sitting out on the lanai at night. Great place for family with kids

Added my own white mini lights to soften the lighting (could use one more warm floor lamp on TV wall). Kitchen was amazingly outfitted, bathrooms were high end. Beds are new and extremely comfortable. Road noise was a little louder than expected even with increasing traffic on Maui, so kept doors shut at night with A/C on to avoid noise. Overall, a great value!

Spectacular Base for your Maui adventures

Stayed here in October for 10 days and the central location makes for the perfect base for travelling around the island. It’s a fairly short drive to and from the airport. Easy parking. Beautiful grounds and although this unit is located further from the parking lot, that has its perks such as being somewhat quieter and being super close to the public sidewalk access gate. This is a good place for families and people who like to drive and aren’t super into walking places. There’s not much that is walking distance here but access to the highway is super easy. Be aware though that the lofted sleep space hears everything going on downstairs in the living room and kitchen…seems obvious to some but maybe not to others. Also, the unit itself is just as beautiful as the pictures. Our host was super communicative and everything was super easy. Would stay again :)

Family vacation

Overall, we had a wonderful time here at this property. Pros: The unit was spacious, clean, and quiet. The pool was perfect for my family. My children are 8 and 10. It had the deep end for swimming and the shallow end for playing. The location was great. Close to the beach, but easily drivable to just about anywhere on the island. Most toiletries were included and of good quality... toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. The kitchen was well stocked with almost everything we needed, including oil and spices. It also came with beach amenities...beach wagon, umbrella, chairs, boogie boards, coolers. We also requested sand toys, and they were at the front door when we arrived. Cons: It was miserably hot in the condo when we arrived. Being from New England, our bodies were not quite adjusted to the heat. It was fine once the unit cooled down. We had an issue with ants in the loft upstairs. There was ant bait under the kitchen sink for immediate use. I did contact the manager and she sprayed the next day. I updated her that the issue hadn't completely resolved and she immediately sent an exterminator. We were pleased with the response. There were a few issues with some electrical. There was limited lighting in the kitchen. The lights over the stove and sink weren't working and the overall light in the kitchen just wasn't enough to help that. There was also an issue with the fan in the downstairs bedroom. It was difficult to control the light and fan at the same time. The light would turn on randomly in the middle of the night if the overhead fan was on. On our first day, we also encountered a dying rat on the way to the pool. Maintenance does a great job on the grounds. I'm sure this was part of an exterminator plan for the condos. It was just a little disturbing to me and my kids. I would say that the pros FAR outrun the cons. We really did enjoy our time here and were sad to leave. I just wanted to be honest and upfront. The only other thing I'd like to mention...In all of my research of Hawaii I never once saw that this was an issue. If you plan to go to the beach near the condo, you really need to go first thing in the morning until about noon. Once the trade winds kick in, you just can't sit on the beach. My poor family got sandblasted to the point that my children were crying. We ended up spending the rest of the day at the pool.

Apologies of course that there were ants. We continue to keep up with quarterly pest control to ensure that that does not happen again. We always try to turn on the AC prior to each guest's arrival (assuming they do not arrive earlier than our checkin inspection), so will continue to do that for guest comfort. We also have installed under cabinet lights in the kitchen and have repaired the electrical issue with the fan light in the bedroom.

We really enjoyed everything in Kihei and the Property. The Unit was excellent and the property had everything we needed. Everything was great and would recommend to anyone. The only reason we will not be renting this unit again is it is too close to the busy road of Kihei. Our tradition is always to gather on the deck in the morning for coffee and just too much road noise for our liking. You do not hear inside the unit but our quiet morning coffee in the morning is very important to us. We are coming back to Kihei in 2024 but staying at another location.

Great place to stay in Maui

KOA Resort 1G condo. Clean, many amenities beach chairs, umbrella, towels. Bath towels kitchen well equipped. Centrally located. Beautiful clean pool and landscaping.
