About this property

Tiny Home on Snowshoe Creek & Little Wood Lake (RV parking with power)

Here is your chance to try out a new wood beamed 520 sf 'not too tiny' house. Nestled on 20 special acres of nature you can roam to your heart's content. Plug in your RV for more beds if you have them. Wooded trails take you by Snowshoe Creek and to the lily pads and wild flowers on Little Wood Lake. Over the bridge and long dock are your included canoe, kayak and paddle boat to get around the lake. You'll find crappies, sunnies, northern pike and many largemouth bass. Lots of wildlife on our surrounding 20 acres. Inside you'll enjoy the super quiet air conditioning or heated comfort. Brazilian pecan and bamboo flooring. 2 TVs. Great new high-end stove and fridge with ice maker. Use the few acres of field for 4 wheeling or snowmobiling. Head to your pick of 3 cute towns each just 8 miles away or get your wine, sandwich, cheeses and ice cream at the Alpha Dairy and Bistro just 3 miles away. All towns have golf courses and restaurants. There is a terrific miniature golf course, upscale dining, antiquing, a multiplex theater and a beach in Siren. A home cooking restaurant and old fashioned bakery in Frederic. Enjoy many events at the lakeside park in Grantsburg. Visit a local mini-farm. When you are tired from all this action just come home to your fireplace and just relax. We now have Internet and WIFI for your cell phone.

Wonderful
Truly enjoyed our stay. The facilities were great and the nearby towns provided just enough to do when we ventured out. Communication with the owner was wonderful and he answered all our questions in a very prompt manner. Perfect long weekend getaway to relax and slow down. We will definitely be coming back to stay!

Great getaway spot!
We wanted a great get away place to relax and do our strategic business planning for next year. This place did not disappoint. A cozy cabin nestled in the woods, away from the sites and sounds of the city was perfect. The cabin is cozy, yet spacious, a walk on the trails was fun, the host was helpful and responsive, and the hot tub hit the spot! We highly recommend this place.

Dave is the inventor and majority owner of Connect Ring patents. He is also the CEO of Forever Bulb, an advanced LED bulb design company. An inventor, business developer and marketer with broad interests from advanced manufacturing to new high-tech products, his current efforts include a communication/smart support ring, battery-as-propeller for drones/planes, and an inward-aiming LED bulb. Dave is now marketing his patents. He founded and sold advanced technology companies. Under his direction these companies created advanced automation manufacturing systems using robotics and vision systems for Shell, Goodyear, 3M, Ford Motor, Schwan’s and McDonald’s. Dave was finalist for 'Inc.’ Magazine’s' Entrepreneur of the Year. As CEO of ViA Dave and his staff achieved Minnesota’s Fastest Growing Technology Company of the Year Award in 2000 (Deloitte and Touche). McDonald’s awarded him 'Sharing the Dream' for inventing and building food service automation including the French fry dispenser used worldwide. Dave and his team designed, patented, built and sold flexible-wearable PCs including a wrist-based device for DARPA. Also for DARPA he conceived and led his team in building the first near-real-time continuous-speech two-way mobile/wearable language translator system. This was used by the US Army in Bosnia and later in over 60 languages/countries. He also conceived and directed the design/build/test HW and SW for a Navy ONR mobile-worn PC system to direct drones and later the first wrist-mounted communicator with display. Dave’s over 80 issued US and International patents include the 'see-through' touch display keyboard, a top 6% USPTO referenced patent. Why they chose this property

Karen and Dave have been building cabins in the woods of Canada for 42 years of their terrific 49 year marriage. This one is the result of his building and designing those and 17 houses and 2 churches. They have lived in the Canadian bush for many years as Dave did his business thing. Now you get the result of that experience. This property was picked because it is wild yet <1.5 hours from the Twin Cities and those incredible grandchildren. If you don't like the woods and a little roughing it (with a few high-end features) you'll miss the point of this very unique place in the Wisconsin outback.JIC we now have Internet and WiFI for your cell phone connection assurance.

What makes this property unique

You might be lucky to see one of our local friendly bears. They usually stay away too much to be seen but so far several of our guest have seen them walking through our property. Hike with Karen and our Golden Retriever, Cooper, to learn and experience more or get us to help you with the bonfire. You might hear some stories from decades of adventure and almost 50 years of marriage if invited ...OR just hole up and we'll leave you alone to create your adventures on this crafty use of a stunning site.
