Spacious quiet room well located, easy access to Park Royal and Ambleside beach. The room has everything you might need for a short duration stay. The host was very helpful and accomodating.
Very good communication with the host. The accommodation is exactly as described in the listing. Easy access to the city center via public transportation. It met all our expectations; highly recommended.
The place was very clean and very easy to communicate with the host But too hot to sleep a small fan was not enough Also washroom shower kitchen was in one small area no privacy at all I could not make any food in the bathroom

At this price you wouldn’t find anything better. Very disappointed with this guest, left for an emergency in the middle of their stay without communicating, leaving all our windows open. Look at the photos of your rental next time. Our description is very clear about no air conditioning.
Great neighborhood with 10 minite walk to bus stop for direct access to downtown. Safe and lots of parking at front of house. Great communication with owner regarding check in and out process. It would have been nice to have a sponge or dish soap to wash dishes, and bowls but a drying mat was provided. I would definitely stay here again!

Glad you enjoyed your stay! Dish soap and brush were under the sink. Bowls were under the stove top with all the other extra plates.
Definitely value for money. One problem is that there is no public transportation directly to the premises and there is quite a hill up from the main room ad.

It was great to have you both stay with us. But there is public transportation that takes you right on the corner of our street. The uphill from Ambleside beach is definitely for our younger guests.
The best location you can imagine. Very comfortable bed, very clean and well-stocked little studio. I had to check out early due to some personal issues and the hostess was kind enough to refund my money. Absolutely a gem of a lady. You will not regret booking with this lady.
This spot met all of our expectations plus a nice decor and a great location. Thanks to the owners for quick responses to our questions.
Hopefully, this spot will be available next time we’re in town.

Great location exactly as advertised. Property is well equipped with microwave, toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker, small cooktops, pots pans, dishes cutlery, TV, great location with easy access to Transit but away from the noise of downtown. Short bus ride to Stanley Park and downtown. Similarly easy access to N Shore , Squamish and Horseshoe Bay Ferry. Free safe street parking.
Very quiet neighbour and the room was nice and very clean.

Listing does not accurately describe the property
I was traveling into Vancouver to work a trade show and run the Vancouver Marathon. I chose this property for two reasons:
The first being the fact that it was away from downtown and offered a much cheaper option than staying in a hotel downtown and paying $400 per night for a room.
The second was that I was hoping that it would be quiet and a peaceful place to relax and recharge and prepare for the marathon I would be running.
While the room and the overall property was clean, and a good value for the price I paid, it was most certainly not quiet. The family who operates the property have three teenaged sons who made a lot of noise on the basketball court directly adjacent to the detached garage suite. While I have no issue with the family living on the property and going about their lives, it would have been helpful to know that they had three very active teenaged sons who would be making a lot of noise, including having basketballs slam against the walls of the rental suite.
I attempted to address this with the property owner, and she responded in a very dismissive manner, which was very unfortunate.
Ultimately, the property was a perfectly fine place to stay, but it would have been nice had the owners been a little more upfront in their ad mentioning the level of noise and activity that would be present - that way potential guests could assess for themselves if that would fit within their plans. A little upfront transparency about the situation would have made for a less frustrating stay as I would have gladly reserved elsewhere.

I am really sorry that our great little suite and our family life was a disappointment for you. I guess I should ask how old our guest are so that I can assume that if they are old they will need to nap in the middle of the day and then complain about kids playing outside. You should be more upfront with your next accommodation that you expect life to stop during your stay. Our kids were playing basketball for 20 minutes after school! Wow! Our kids have never been an issue for normal and understanding guests. I was never dismissive and our suite discription stipulates that we have kids and the plans of our property is very clear about having a basketball court next to the suite. Very rude and inflexible guest, obviously that never had kids.

Our host Genivieve is most accommodating and helpful. Nice neighborhood. We had some difficulty finding our way into the property, and when we called Vrbo for help, there was no record of our booking, but the staff who answered the call did try hard to help, to no avil. We had to message Genivieve for assostamce, which she responded quickly.
Stayed at this property for 3 nights, great location in West Vancouver, very comfortable, great communication, and would love to stay there again on future visits to West Van!
I read from another reviewer that Genevieve truly cares, and this is true. Responsive to texts, safe distancing and all I'd wanted. The place is thoughtfully designed, private, comfortable bed, super-clean, and I have already booked a return visit!

Thank you Mary for the kind words. We are looking forward to your next stay with us.
I was late checking in due to a hiccup with my international travel plans and the host reached out to see if I was alright. Once I arrived the next night, the stay was pleasant.
This place is an incredible find at an excellent price. It was spotless, had everything we needed and more, and a very comfortable bed. I can’t recommend it enough! This will be our ‘go to’ when visiting West Van in the future.
Suite was in a nice quiet neighbourhood. Parking was accessible and free. The suite was as advertised and just what I wanted. Bed was comfortable, nice walking shower. Really it was ideal. Definitely plan to come back.
VRBO space as advertised. Compact, well appointed and clean. This is on the premises of a lovely family home. The property is not overly large so children's toys, bikes etc. much in evidence. However, it was very quiet and comfortable. As a guest, my elderly sister was supremely conscious of respecting the owners privacy and maintaining her own privacy but when there was a small problem, the host was gracious and helpful.
