Perfect spot

Probably the ultimate Collioure location. Modern refurbished apartment with everything you might need provided, and right on the water. Will definitely be travelling from Australia to stay here again.

Wonderful apartment

Would highly recommend this beautiful apartment. It is spacious, spotlessly clean and has everything you could want. The location is stunning - out of this world. Me, my wife and two kids loved every minute there. Communication with the hosts was excellent.

Best holiday ever!

Guy and Fabienne are amazing hosts and made us feel so welcome ! We stayed for the second summer running and had a great time. The property is located a few seconds walk from the sea and the shops etc of Collioure. We hope to be back soon !

This has to be the best place to stay in Collioure, a picture perfect town. The hosts are totally accommodating and helpful. The apartment is bright and comfortable and well equipped and was pristine. My only regret is that we did not stay longer.

Charming, cozy and private. Best location in town.

On the waterfront, scenic, nearby restaurants and shops. We spent a wonderful three days and nights at "feet in water" and have nothing but good memories of the whole experience. Our group of four had our own little castle to ourselves, and spent most of our time within five minutes of "home", enjoying the waterfront restaurants and walking the area. The couple who manage the property were outstanding, with an informative introduction to the area and very helpful advice regarding train service and scheduling upon our leaving. Five stars plus.

A beautiful apartment with an amazing view

Lovely, comfortable apartment in historic center, with sensational view right over crashing waves. We loved everything about the apartment itself, though we had some disturbing late night (renovation and music) noise from upstairs neighbors —but I believe Guy, the owner, was unaware of the issue beforehand, and will hopefully ensure that it does not affect future guests.

perfect location

This apartment is perfectly located, in the centre of Collioure, but at the same time calm and right on the beach. That was very practical with small children. Rooms are spacious, lots of light. And it stays cool inside on warm days. equipment of the apartment is practical and works fine. contact with the owners for reservation, arrival and departure, and information on parking, was very helpful and fast. thank you!

The best nunnery in France

Characterful apartment in perfect position. Not luxurious or ultra modern but good quality decor of an earlier time. Tiling attractive. Views from several windows in all directions superb. Everything works but the controls of the cooker are not obvious. Ask to be shown on arrival. Also the car park du Glacis where drivers are met on arrival has two entrances: you will be met at the entrance by the Post Office La Poste.

Merci pour votre précision concernant le rendez-vous au parking du Glacis qui a lieu en général toujours à l'entrée côté Bureau de Poste.

Great location

The apartment, on the snd floor of a chateau (which was originally a convent, we understand) is ideally located. Immaculately clean, attractively furnished, comfortable beds (although a better quality of bed linens would be an improvement). Fantastic views of the Mediterranean, just outside the windows. The kitchenette, however, is problematic: The "batterie de cuisine" is something of a jumble. The work area measures 2x2 metres. In this space there are sink, cooktop, oven, and overhead cupboards. Unfortunately the oven does not work. Its replacement is a small combo microwave/convection oven--hard to program. (The instruction manual is in 7 languages, none of them English.) If you plan to eat mainly in restaurants, this would be of no importance. But if you dream of fetching back a lovely poussin from the marche for roasting, or even re-heating a pizza, you will have to give up that dream. We were unable to get the TV to work--perhaps the remote needs new batteries. Good Wi-fi connection. In general, a pleasant place to stay. Immaculately clean, and the caretake couple were extremely helpful and amicable.

Merci pour votre appréciation et vos commentaires suite à votre séjour. Nous prenons note de votre remarque concernant la qualité des oreillers. Nous avons choisi une densité moyenne qui peut en effet ne pas convenir à tous, selon les habitudes de position de sommeil de chacun. Dans ces cas là, s'il y a vraiment une incompatibilité, vous devez nous le signaler et nous ferons tout pour vous apporter un meilleur confort. Nous aimerions savoir ce qui vous a manqué dans la "batterie de cuisine" car nous n'avons jamais eu de remarque jusque là. Il est vrai que la kitchenette est assez petite, telle qu'elle apparaît d'ailleurs sur les photos du site et il est clair qu'elle n'est pas vraiment appropriée pour se lancer dans des recettes de cuisine nécessitant de l'espace. Par contre tous les appareils sont en principe fonctionnels et nous sommes surpris d'apprendre que le four ne fonctionnait pas ni la TV. Pourquoi ne pas l'avoir signalé à votre contact qui est là pour vous aider à résoudre les problèmes éventuels? Comme vous l'avez peut-être remarqué dans les petites attentions, nous mettons un point d'honneur à ce que nos hôtes soient satisfaits. Donc, également qu'ils soient dépannés très rapidement en cas de problème. Encore faut-il que nous en soyons informés. Concernant le micro-ondes, nous sommes désolés pour la notice en anglais qui a du être égarée et nous allons y remédier. Merci pour la rapidité de votre appréciation. Cordialement. Merci pour votre appréciation. Nous regrettons que le ménage n'ait pas répondu à votre attente car nous mettons un point d'honneur à ce qu'il soit impeccable. Nous faisons remonter de suite l'information à Pascale qui ne manquera pas de prendre ce problème très au sérieux. S'il n'y a pas de quatrième fauteuil dans le salon, c'est simplement par manque de place. On peut toujours si besoin rajouter le fauteuil qui est dans la chambre principale. Concernant le niveau sonore des vagues, votre séjour s'est déroulé pendant un épisode de tramontane exceptionnellement long et fort avec son corollaire de vagues puissantes. Notre appartement étant quasiment sur l'eau, on peut en effet avoir des sensations très fortes avec la mer, ce que la plupart des clients apprécient. Cordialement Guy et Fabienne Valentin

Super, même en hiver!

Very unique experience

Staying at a property like this is a unique experience. It overlooks the sea and the chateau is built for the centuries. The apartment was very comfortable. My one suggestion is to add better lighting in the large bedroom.

Paradise - We could not believe our eyes or ears!

As an active family, we usually spend most of our time OUTSIDE of the VRBO, but with this lodging, it was very hard to leave! This incredible apartment in a CHATEAU has all the comforts of being on land (spaciousness, all vacation activities outside the doorstep, fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms), yet you feel like you are on the water... because you are! Watching sunrises from every room and hearing the sound of the waves throughout the day is an absolute treasure. We loved this destination, and the biggest reason for that was our stay here! We could not recommend it more! Guy and Fabienne are such kind and interesting hosts - we feel so grateful we had the pleasure of visiting with them!

Nautical Retreat

We appreciated the location. The flat is in a castle that is built into the rocks surrounding the sea. There are superb views and you can hear the waves from the open windows. The nautical decor of the flat reflects this. The flat is well equipped and enjoyed a very pleasant stay.

Wonderful place to relax and enjoy Collioure.

This property is literally on the water, close to everything yet private and away from the crowds. Waking up to waves crashing on the rocks below, or falling asleep to the rhythm of the waves is a great way to unwind. We enjoyed our stay very much.
