If you wish to go back in time and experience way of life you cannot find in modern civilization, relax and rest at one of the sunniest Mediterranean islands, with many hidden bays, and surrounded with clearest water; our 100 year old house is perfect place for you and your family.

The house is located at the edge of an authentic, rustic Dalmatian village, living the old-fashioned way of life, full of hospitality and joy of life.

Villa Nikola was completely renovated, whole property is surrounded by wall providing you a full privacy, with two parking spaces inside courtyard, outdoor shower, sun deck and terrace around the swimming pool area of 32 m2, Pool has a whirlpool and chromotherapy as well as LED lighting in multiple colors. Also it is heatable swimming pool.
Next to the house is covered stone barbecue. For your entertainment and active vacation, spacious swimming pool has pool volleyball equipment.
If you like pleasant walks through olive groves and forest, it will bring you to the beautiful beach which is 1400m away from the property.

Interior of the house has many details looking like a small museum in order to make your stay as pleasant as possible, but with all the necessary comfort that will satisfy even the most demanding guests.
Capacity of the villa is ideal for a family, and capacity is 4+2 beds. Additional beds are on the ground floor. Villa has 3 floors, on the ground floor there is pleasant and comfortable living room, dining room, kitchen and WC. Interior and exterior stairs will take you up to the first floor with a terrace with a beautiful view over surrounding vineyards, olive groves and pine forests. On the first floor there is a spacious twin bedroom with comfortable bathroom. Interior stairs take you up to attractive attic with a bedroom with a double bad, spacious bathroom and wardrobe.
Every single room in the house is full of daylight and pleasant atmosphere where you will certainly find your peace and pleasure.

Wonderfull stay!

We have spent a lovely week on Solta island. Everything was perfect : nice pool and house inside the village of donje selo. Mira and his family were really helpfull to organise our trip and excursions around the island. We recommend it!

Fantastic house with pool

We had a wonderful stay in Mira’s house. It is located in a pretty little village on Šolta island. The owner Mira will do everything you need to make your stay perfect. She responded very quickly to all requests and has great recommendations for the island.

Charming & peacefull

First of all, Mira's welcome is really perfect, because Mira is absolutly friendly, very kind and always remains listening. The house is well equiped, quiete, clean and confortable and close to all Solta entertainment in a charming village with cicadas and figs. The swimming pool is a huge bonus for all the family. All our family recommands Mira's villa.

Awesome house with nice pool in peaceful location

The property was very clean and included everything we expected. It is very well furnished with a great deal of taste. Also, the swimming pool was amazing and remained clean all our stay long. The neighboorhood was quiet. We really appreciated how the hosts welcomed us; they provided us with many leaflets and piece of advice to make the most of our holidays. It was perfect !

Beautiful home from home in peaceful location

My husband and I booked this house and I have to say the reallity was even better than the beautiful pictures. Mira was a delight to deal with and our welcome from the ferry was warm and the introduction to the house comprehensive. The welcome pack was fabulous and I have to say the house was spotless and the huge welcome pack a real bonus. Mira's husband installs pools and his handiwork was on display....we swam every day. I would recommend a car but we also had the opportunity to walk and find remote coves to swim. All in all an incredibly relaxing break in a beautiful house. I would unreservedly recommend.

A wonderful House on a wondeful Island

Hello, we have a wondeful holiday in a Dream House on Solta. This is a very very nice old Stone House in a quiet small Place there you can swim in the winderful pool and always relax. Reading Books at a Pool drinking beer and wine and have always a nice time. We stay there till 9.7.2016 and it was one of our favourite holidays. The Owners Mira and her son Nicolas we meet was very very friendly and we was very pleased by the little surpisises ! Our favourite place was the beach in Maslinica where is a nice bar you can drink, eat and jet ski riding. We did it with the kids many times it´s so nice there. So we deffinitly come back again and want to recommend the house where ever we can! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!! Family Riedel

Lovingly restored rustic villa

Villa Nikola is a wonderful retreat in a quiet and timeless location. The building has been restored to an excellent standard with a fabulous swimming pool and patio area. Mira was an excellent host, very attentive and quick to respond to all our questions. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly at Rogac by both Mira and Nikolai and the fridge was well stocked with provisions. Solta is a quiet Island with beautiful coves to explore and plenty of nice restaurants. Everyone is friendly and the coastal villages are not overcrowded; we especially enjoyed visiting Maslinica and Stomorska where we would spend the afternoon on the pebbled beach and swim in the crystal clear water. We feel a car is essential to visit the whole of the island and to get provisions from the small supermarkets. We would highly recommend this Villa and location; many thanks again to Mira and her son Nikolai.

Relaxing, charming fully modernised cottage.

Beautiful , tastefully modernised character cottage in quiet , unspoilt local village. Excellent facilities (2 flat screen TVs , WIFI, dish washer and tumble drier)- 2 double air-conditioned bedrooms with good sized en-suite shower rooms. An open plan diner- kitchen( well equipped) - lounge area. Immaculately clean and tidy. Fantastic pool area with BBQ , fresh water shower, water volley ball net, 3 mountain bikes(adult). Beach towels provided. Extensive welcome pack in the fridge:- wine, beer, local liqueur, juices, fruit, cakes etc. Good information pack in terms of restaurants, local attractions. Had to investigate where the local pharmacy/doctors were but Mira emailed back to let us know. Very friendly meet and great at the port by Mira and her son, both escorting us to and around the house. We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday and can't wait to go back!!

A wonderful peaceful retreat with my family

From the minute my husband and I and our 3 young sons booked our stay on solta, Mira has been so helpful and replied to all my emails very quickly. After a very long day (we flew into Dubrovnik, then had a 3.5 hr drive to Split. We then missed the ferry by 2 cars (you MUST get to port at least 2/1.5 hours before the departing time. There is no guarantee that you will get a specific ferry time, despite booking it!) so we had to wait another 2 hours.) Mira was very patient and we met her and Nikolai briefly at Rogac as they were getting our ferry back to split. They left such an impression on us that our 3 young sons were sad they weren't staying with us! Villa Nikola was just lovely. We had a very generous 'welcome pack' or fresh fruit and goodies (including wine!) in the fridge. The house is spotless and the bedrooms very spacious as well as having 2 bathrooms and a downstairs loo. The dishwasher and washing machine helped make it even more of a holiday! You do need a car. The nearest supermarket is in Grohote 5 minutes away. Please note that the supermarkets are very small but do obviously sell the essentials and we used the market opposite for fresh fruit and veg. We had bbqs most days and we spent the evenings playing games or reading. The pool is amazing and a really good size. We were in it everyday and the boys loved it. The sea is just beautiful and we loved exploring the island. As it is so small you don't need to spend too long in the car. Our favourite beach was at maslinica as the boys found a diving board attached to rocks. It also has some shade. I really recommend purchasing some beach shoes as the beaches are really stoney. Our favourite restaurant was Paserela in Rogac. The situation is just stunning and the boys loved watching the boats moor up or go past. We loved the island of solta, it's peacefulness and way of life. Mira and Nikola are wonderful people and hope to be back soon!

Erholung pur auf Solta

Wir wurden sehr freundlich und herzlich von der Vermieterin und ihrem Sohn empfangen, erhielten viele nützliche Tipps zur Umgebung sowie unter anderem Obst, Wein und ein kleines Gastgeschenk. Das Haus übernahmen wir sehr sauber, liebevoll eingerichtet und vollkommen zufriedenstellend ausgestattet. Wir buchten das Ferienhaus zwei Wochen in der Nachsaison und trotzdem waren Restaurants, Bars und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten regulär geöffnet. Der beheizte Pool mit Spafunktion wurde von uns sehr häufig genutzt. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl hier.

Fantastisches Haus mit Pool in sehr ruhiger Lage

Wir hatten einen tollen Sommerurlaub bei Mira in diesem Haus auf der kroatischen Insel Solta. Die Lage ist schon durch die Insel sehr ruhig, in einem der wenigen verschlafenen Dörfern der Insel. Genau das richtige, wenn man Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit zur Erholung sucht! Mira und Ihr Sohn Nikola waren tolle Gastgeber, und haben uns sehr herzlich und warm empfangen. Die einheimischen Produkte wie Feigen, Limonen, Honig und Olivenöl sind die Markenzeichen der Insel, und schmecken klasse. Auf der Insel gibt es durch die Abgeschiedenheit wenig Abwechslung oder Programm, daher unbedingt für eigenes Entertainment sorgen. Mira ist immer erreichbar und hilfsbereit; wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt!

So ein Urlaub hatte ich noch nie gehabt. Die Gastgeberin Mira, ihr Ehemann George und der Sohn Nikola sind sehr wundervolle hilfsbereite Menschen, die um alles gekümmert haben. Selbst um einen Schnelltest für Corona um nach Bosnien weiter zu fahren, hatte die Mira persönlich gekümmert. Sie fühlen sich wie nach Hause willkommen. Bei allen Fragen stand die Familie beiseite. Mira ist eine Gastgeberin mit ganz großes Herz ❤️ Die Villa war sehr sehr schön und tiptop sauber. Man fühlt sich echt wie zuhause. Der Pool war sehr sauber und schön warm 👍🏼. Das Haus war wundervoll dekoriert. So wie in der Beschreibung haben Sie ein Kinderzimmer mit zwei Betten und oben auf dem Dachgeschoss haben Sie ein Doppelbett, sehr sauber und schön angerichtet. Sie haben alles da, was man braucht. Die Gastgeberin Mira hat uns sogar ein Obstkorb, Eis und eine andenkende Geschenk vorbereitet. Ich bin sehr froh, dass Ich so eine Familie kennengelernt habe. Alles war echt top. Ich kann nur weiterempfehlen❤️ Ich möchte in der Zukunft wieder hierher kommen. Danke Mira, Georgia und Nikola ❤️👍🏼

Perfect summer escape for an active holiday on island Šolta

Mira and Nikolas really take good care of you. The house has all needed equipment for a lazy summer stay including MTB's and towels for the pool. A 15 min downhill and 20 min steep uphill walk to the beach keeps you welltrained and gives you a nice tan during the walk. The house is very well kept and everything have worked flawless during our week here.

Fantastic place for peace and relaxation

Mira and her son are warmhearted housekeepers, who look perfectly after their guests. The villa itsself is well equipped and tastefully furnished. Everything is very tidy. The pool has a good size, was in perfect condition and the water was fantastic. We were looking for a calm and really beautiful place to relax and we found it at „Villa Nikola“! Villa Nikola Solta

This is a fantastic property in a really peaceful location. The property has been renovated with love and attention to detail, it has absolutely everything needed for a wonderful holiday. The owners could not be more welcoming and it is clearly important to them that their guests have a superb time. This ranks as one of the best holiday rentals we have ever taken. Solta is a beautiful island with numerous coves and beaches for swimming and pretty harbours with pleasant bars to shelter from the sun whilst enjoying some refreshment. If you want a week or two away from the tourist crowds but still want the luxuries that this villa offers, then this is most definitely the place to be.

One of the best villas we’ve ever stayed in

It’s the small things that make a perfect holiday and this villa has small things in abundance. The ground floor has a well-equipped kitchen diner and living room, there’s a decent sized twin room on the first floor and a spacious double bedroom on the top floor with a lovely wooden vaulted ceiling. Each floor has a bathroom and there is aircon in each bedroom. Outside is a lovely pool and a separate area with a wood burning oven. Bikes were also provided. Mira and her family were lovely hosts and gave us a very warm welcome but then left us alone to enjoy our holiday. When we arrived they very kindly stocked the fridge for us and gave us some advice on where to visit on Solta. The overall feel of the place was modern but also cosy. It felt like you were staying in the house of your best friend. The village is very peaceful so if you’re looking for somewhere to get away from it all and have a relaxing break, this villa is ideal for you.

Fantastic family holiday villa with lovely hosts

My family and I (2 adults, 2 older teens and a 3 year old) have recently returned from this Villa on the island of Solta and would strongly recommend a stay here. Mira and her son greeted us off the ferry and welcomed us to their beautiful villa, paying particular attention to the needs of our 3 year old by providing a cot bed, buggy and a bucket /spade plus leaving lovely food goodies and wine in the fridge. The Villa and pool are stunning, the property has been renovated to a very high standard and has a real home from home / special happy place feeling. The island of Solta is beautiful, very friendly, resorts and beaches pretty quiet, very accessible and clean, we had some lovely food in beautiful locations and enjoyed a boat trip around the island organised by Mira. Food is not cheap but not overpriced. The village of Donje Selo itself is very quiet, nothing much there yet and the beach which ideally you need to drive too has no facilities but is well worth a visit, we spent time at Stormaski and Melinski both of which have lovely beaches and restaurants and are a short drive away. The supermarket and small market at Grohote are a 10 minute drive away, or Mira has provided bikes for you to use, I would recommend going early if you want to avoid queues and want to buy croissants, great little cafés for a coffee in the village. We can see why people would go back year after year and if I didn't have so many places I want to see then I would also go back too, maybe one day. Our only little concern during the holiday was that there were quite a lot of wasps around the pool area in the heat of the day which prevented us from using it, that said we went out and about and returned for a swim late afternoon when they seem to disappear, plus the pool was lovely and warm by then. Would recommend taking antihistamine tablets and bite cream with you as we all got bitten when we were out and about, the Villa itself has excellent air conditioning and mosquito screens at the windows, I guess it is because the Island is so green. All in all we had a fantastic family holiday, the Villa and Solta delivered all we had hoped for when booking.

Beautiful Villa, Beautiful People

What an absolutely magnificent holiday we had! We've stayed in many villa's over the years and nothing has come close to this. I cannot say how wonderful Mira, her lovely son Nikolai and the villa were. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel welcome even before we got there. The villa was absolutely spotless and equipped for every eventuality - there was even a guitar and a drum box for the kids to amuse themselves with! The pool's absolutely beautiful and the surroundings so peaceful we had a fantastic, relaxing family break. But the thing that really makes Villa Nikola stand out was the amazing, genuine hospitality. From all the lovely little extras Mira left - including a bottle of delicious, homemade liqueur - to the interesting stories she told us about the villa, Solta and Croatia. She's really passionate about making your holiday the very best it can be and that's exactly what our trip was. Thank you Mira and Nikolai!

Solitude in Solta

Our stay was really special. The villa had all that you could want for the perfect holiday. The facilities were excellent and Mira (the owner) and her son were very attentive and helpful. Solta is a delightful island. It has some beautiful villages, especially Stomorska and Malinica. You will need a car if you want to get about especially if it is hot. We had some gorgeous meals at two restaurants in particulate: Pasarella in Rigac and Turanj in Rogac. Do take some beach footwear as the swimming is fantastic but the beaches are quite rocky.

Great peaceful holiday

If you wish peace and relaxation or you have smal children, this is place for holiday. Great old house, warm swimmingpool, lot of sun. Everithing is clean and well-maintained. No trafic and cars. No hotels and urbanisation. Solta is great island for hiking, cycling etc...

I live in Split, where I was born.
I love flowers, animals and nature and very often I go for a walk through vineyards and olive groves with my husband. I enjoy in life and there is nothing more inspiring for me when to wake up early in the morning and I enjoy the sounds of nature and birds with morning coffee and a view of the green field, fig trees, vineyards, olives and preserved nature of my green island.

Why they chose this property

When me and my husband saw 2012. that 100 year old destroyed stone house we knew that it will be perfect place to enjoy and eascape from civilization but also from big town life.
In house nobody lived for 50 years before us and that was extra challange.
We had a vision wich we accomplished and result you can see on pictures.
From old ruined house we made warm home for us and our guests.
Location of the house in the old part of the village. It is completely tranquil and we are surrounded by traditional houses. However you are able to drive car to fabulous beaches, the harbour and restaurants in 5-10 minutes.
It is a peaceful Mediterranean traditional stone house which we have completely renovated 2013. in a rustical style but well equipped with everything you need during vacations.
