This vacation rental welcomes up to two dogs per reservation year-round and for off-season monthly rentals.

Two TVs - 48-inch Smart TV in the living room and 32" flat screen in the bedroom. Both TVs equipped with SLING TV for basic cable channels. High-Speed Internet. Deck with furniture to sit and enjoy the days and evenings at Oak Island, enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water, charcoal grill, beach access one block to right, 1 ½ block to ocean. Books, games, and puzzles. Pack-n-Play, highchair. No dishwasher. Fenced in backyard. Off-season monthly rentals available. Two pets allowed under 20 lbs.

Dirty but good location

From the beginning it was not good. Couldn't get in until AFTER check-in time due to not having been cleaned yet. Lots of cosmetic issues that need to be addressed. Need a better cleaning crew - sheets still on bed from last occupant, ceiling fans filthy, smells musty, tub didn't drain properly, dishes in cabinets were dirty, area around doorknob was FILTHY. Needs some better upkeep i.e., ceiling peeling off in one area, spongy floor in front of kitchen sink, stove burner not functioning properly, etc.

Great choice!

Can’t go wrong. The rooms are cute and nice. We had 4 people and 2 dogs. Very great community. Small, not very busy, beach. Responsive and helpful owners. The kitchen needs some serious improvements, but maybe that’s just because I’m a serious home-chef.

Perfect Little Getaway

We loved staying at Splendid Days! It has all of the amenities you need, a very short walk to the beach and an overall feeling of comfort. We were able to take our little dog, as well, who enjoyed the fenced in yard. It was the perfect get-away for us!

Perfectly located family-friendly getaway!

This beach cottage is minutes to the ocean, walkable to groceries and a gas station, and had the added bonus of a fenced yard! We will surely be back!

oak island stay

Enjoyed the Island. Great location and just enough space for our family to re-connect. House had everything you could need in the kitchen. My only complaint (not the homeowner’s fault) was the yard had a lot of trash left in it. The trash can was overflowing outside with 2 more bags of trash and we had to clean it all up and roll to the road. Thankfully trash pick up was on Monday. The cleaning team did a good job but we had to wait 30 minutes for them to finish past our check in time.
