About the host
Hosted by Dace Dosere
My name is Dace. I am an interior design enthusiast and a DIY fanatic. Whatever I can do myself, I will; be it an art project, furniture makeover or a birthday cake :) I enjoy active lifestyle - traveling, hiking, running and my latest discovery, surfing. Life is a wave, catch it. I have been blessed with opportunities to travel and live in different countries over the last 10 years and experience extraordinary things. Hope you have the same luck during your stay in Riga
Why they chose this property
The apartment is located on Maza Smilšu street (Small Sand street) which dates back to 1409. The street went from the Great Smilšu Street to the so-called "Gray Tower" in the masonry fortification of the city (around the current corner of Meistaru Street).
Maza Smilšu street got its name from the sand tower (the name apparently originated from the sandy mountains facing the tower) which is mentioned first time in 1330.
