This old house includes:
- a living room - dining room, an equipped kitchen with dining area, a game room / lounge, 2 flat screen TV.
- in an independent studio, 2 meters from the entrance to the main house, a bedroom with a 140 cm bed, an independent entrance, a bathroom with WC,
- on the 1st floor: two bathrooms, three bedrooms (two with a 140 cm bed and one with two 90 cm beds) + a child's bedroom
- on the 2nd floor: a bedroom with 140cm bed and a child's bedroom with two 90cm beds.
Household linen (sheets, towels) is not provided.
Around the house, a large wooded park maintained by a gardener, and a 12 x 6 meter swimming pool. Armchairs and deckchairs. Games. Barbecue.
In the city center of Saint Pierre, the house is however completely isolated, quiet.

We had a fabulous week in St Pierre d'Oleron - superb location with the market and many shops, restaurants, cafes and other amenities all close by on foot. The town is lovely, very charming as is the wonderful house - spacious with lots of character and a fantastic pool. We had a great stay. Thank you!!

We had a brilliant week here the house was clean, had all we needed. Outside space and pool is amazing. Lots of toys and games for the children. Felt very homely. Communication with the owner was absolutely excellent and she went out of her way to offer help. Perfect house for a family holiday

Just delightful

Set in expansive grounds just a stone's throw from the centre of Saint-Pierre d'Oléron with it's colourful shops, good restaurants and wonderful daily covered market, this is a great base - especially out of season - to explore the island and all it has to offer. The owner, who lives in Bordeaux with her young family, is charming and very helpful. The house which belonged to her grandparents is spacious, comfortable and 'vraiement tranquille'. Within 15 minutes of some great beaches, having a large and well-maintained swimming pool was also a major plus.

Fantastic Old House in St Pierre

The house was wonderful, an old farmhouse where a modern kitchen and bathrooms had been installed but the historic interior retained including the names and heights of children inscribed on the inside of the doors, going from 1907 to 1918. An enormous garden with a large pool made it was perfect for a family holiday. Shops, restaurants and bakeries were a few minutes walk away. I would love to know the history of the house, it had such a lovely warm atmosphere and we had a fabulous holiday. Will certainly return another year.

Wonderful French house

We had a wonderful week in the house as a grown up family group. The location was superb, being just a short walk to town and near supermarkets. The pool was also great and we used it most days throughout our stay. The house is reasonably well equipped but much of the kitchen equipment and crockery is past its best and needs replacing. Rustic is one thing, but cracked crockery is unhygienic! We paid extra for towels and bedding but this saves having to bring your own. Overall, a great place for a holiday.

House review

The property was roomy with good pool and large outside area. The only things we did not like was that all instructions were im French and that the housekeepers could not understand English. We were not happy that after cleaning the house before we left we were still Charged 80 euros for cleaning.

Best holiday house yet

As a scattered family of 12 people, aged now 13 to 89, we’ve been renting gites every other summer for years. This is the only place we’ve all wanted to return to. It’s clean, comfortable, spacious, attractive without being fussy and well equipped inside and out. Lovely garden and pool. We really appreciated the separate ground floor studio for the grandparents. We loved being able to saunter out to the boulangerie & gorgeous market. The beaches are close and we enrolled the teens into surfing lessons which they loved. Stephanie could not have been more helpful and responsive. Thank you from us all for a wonderful week.

A wonderful house

This is a truly outstanding house - without doubt the most special place we have ever stayed. Although it looks stunning in the photos, what you can’t fully appreciate is how much space there is, including amazing garden, which is even bigger than it seems! The bedrooms are beautiful and very large, many with windows overlooking the garden We were lucky enough to have great weather, and were able to have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the lovely garden dining table. And many enjoyable hours were spent in the fantastic pool. Stephanie an excellent and most welcoming host and gave us great advice on places to go around the island. The house is less than 5 minutes walk from the bustling main street of St Pierre, but you have no sense of being in the middle of town. This is a really wonderful holiday home, and we’re already thinking about when we can go back again!

Excellent sejour chez Stéphanie avec qui la communication a été très fluide avant l'arrivée. Maison très confortable (y compris la literie) et très bien équipée (tout y est dans la cuisine comme plats, ustensiles etc...), plein de jeux pour enfants et de société, table de ping pong, babyfoot... la piscine est magnifique et le terrain est bien entretenu. Tout est a disposition à 5min à pieds. Nous etions 6 adultes et 6 enfants de 2 à 9 ans et tout le monde a profité pleinement du sejour. Nous avons également apprécié de pouvoir en supplément louer des draps et serviettes l'option ménage. Nous recommandons .

Vacances familiales Toussaint 2023

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances avec nos 3 fils, belles-filles et petits-enfants dans cette belle et ancienne maison bien équipée qui a convenu à toute notre famille, petits et grands. Le jardin est immense pour jouer au ballon. Beaucoup de jeux de société a notre dispositon ont été les bienvenus car la météo de cette fin octobre n'était pas fameuse. La rue piétonne, le beau cinéma Eldorado, la halle pour le marché sont à 5mn à pied, la boulangerie à 50m. Bref un endroit à recommander pour passer de bonnes vacances en famille

Wunderbare Unterkunft

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem sehr schönen Haus. Das große Anwesen liegt perfekt in einer schönen und ruhigen Umgebung. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin und der Verwalterin war sehr nett und unkompliziert. Das tägliche Frühstück auf der Terrasse und der Pool waren traumhaft. Es ist alles vorhanden und die Lage ist sehr ruhig, aber trotzdem ist alles Notwendige in direkter Nähe. Das perfekte Haus für ein Familientreffen. Es ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sauber. Es war ein toller Urlaub!

Parfait pour vacances entre amis ou famille

Maison très grande et fonctionnelle(nous étions 12),idéale pour passer de bonnes vacances en groupe. Tout peut se faire à pied ou à vélo.La piscine est de grande dimension.le jardin est superbe et offre le calme. Les propriétaires sont charmants et réactifs.

Simple beautiful

Words cannot describe how wonderful and idyllic this property is. 5 minutes walk from the town centre and all amenities. From the front of the house you would never guess the extent of the grounds that lie behind. The grounds are wonderful and a dream for children to run around and play. The pool is perfect for the children to play in. Stéphanie is extremely helpful and replies to any queries quickly. We had the most wonderful 2 weeks here and can't recommend it enough. The photos really don't do it justice.

Tolles Haus, wunderschöner Urlaub!

Wir waren für 14 Tage mit 2 Familien und Freunden (6 Erwachsene und 4 Kinder im Alter von 2-6) und hatten einen der bisher schönsten Urlaube. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig, es gibt genug Schlafzimmer, die Küche ist super ausgestattet, alles vorhanden was man braucht, die beiden Badezimmer sind neu gestaltet, der Pool ist sehr groß und der Garten ist im Prinzip ein Park, in dem die Kinder viel Spaß hatten. Das Haus ist fußläufig zum Bäcker, Markt und Einkaufsstraße. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und kommen bestimmt wieder!

Etwas ganz seltenes - altes Haus - riesiger Park - toller Pool

Das Haus/Gebäude/Gelände ist riesig (für die Ile d'Oléron); das Haus hat ein "ehrwürdiges" Alter, ist aber bestens ausgestattet und bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten. Das Gelände ist ein richtiger Park, eine Größe (für ein Ferienhaus) "ohne Ende". Einen Pool von der Größe findet man nicht in jedem Hotel (bei bester Wasserqualität). Genügend Parkplätze (auch innerhalb Gelände) sind vorhanden. Eine Lokation, die man, im besten Sinn, nie vergessen wird (wurde von einem Cognac-Produzenten gebaut...)

Excellent House for a large family or mixed group

We were a 2 family group with 4 boys from 12-16 and my daughter and her boyfriend. The house gave everyone space a privacy and the extensive garden a perfect opportunity for evening BBQs, outdoor dining and games evenings. The owner is responsive and helpful. The pool was amazing with an unexpected addition of pool floaties and garden games. The location is a 5 minutes walk from the main town which has cafes, restaurants and shops and 5 minutes away from a SuperU and Lidl. It is around a 15 minute drive from the beach. Would highly recommend for a large family group with mixed ages.
