Do you enjoy wide open spaces, starry nights, swimming, kayaking and fishing? Look no further, we have it all! Come enjoy the stillness of rural country life. Our cozy cottage offers a birds eye view of Half Moon Lake where the loon call is enchanting & relaxation with family and friends is perfection! The surrounding communities are a blend of lush countryside , lakes, parks, & small town charm. The house is surrounded by farm fields, quiet country roads and mother nature!

The house has 2 Queen beds, 1 full bed, 1 full bathroom and one half bathroom. The house has 2 living areas - both with TVs and DVD players. You'll find an electric fireplace in the downstairs living area. Full kitchen with dining area. Outdoor seating. Firepit (ask us about wood availability) - S'mores supplies included! We have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Summer & Fall:
Activities: Fishing, water sports, swimming, hunting, hiking, biking, campfires, etc!
Included with your stay is the user-friendly kayak cart (on wheels) to pull 2 kayaks down to the beach. You can put the kayaks in at the sandy beach and away you go to explore the day away! Be sure to find and explore Tamarack Bay - a family favorite. No need to be an expert kayaker - it is easy for beginners too! Kayaks can be used anytime between April and October.

The house is about 2 easy blocks from Half Moon Beach / Lake - just a walk down the paved road! There is a sandy beach - very few weeds and the lake is great for swimming! Also at the beach is a swing set, picnic shelter, charcoal BBQ grill, fishing dock and boat launch. It is a quiet beach - lots of room to spread out and de-stress.

Winter:
Activities: Fishing, snowmobiling, hiking, campfires, etc!

Half Moon Lake (and Balsam lake just a few minutes away) is perfect for ice fishing!

Bring your outdoor recreational toys for any season! Lots of fun to be had.

We are located in rural Balsam Lake, Wisconsin. Within minutes, there is a variety of entertainment options, restaurants, coffee shops, and antique shops. We are near Milltown, WI; Taylors Falls, WI and St. Croix Falls, WI.

This rental is perfect for any type of group - friends retreat, couples getaway, family time, contractors, crafters, fishermen, hunters, boaters, etc!

Little yellow house

Everything you need for a great time

One of the best things is the yard. We played wiffleball and frisbee with lots of room to spare. The patio is protected from the westerly breeze and if you are looking for the breeze just pull a chair out 15 feet and enjoy the breeze and the fabulous view of the lake. A great place to relax and also a short distance to family activities if you are not into biking or kayaking, fishing and swimming.

Cute, clean little farmhouse

This place has pretty much everything's you need for a little get away. Easy access to a lake for kayaking and a little park nearby. It’s 20 minutes to St Croix falls if you want to do some hiking. Comfortable beds with plenty of blankets and fans in each room. Highly recommend!

A quiet, cozy house.

We enjoyed our stay at this cute farmhouse, which reminded me of our childhood living in northern Wisconsin. The house was clean, and had everything we needed for this get together. We watched deer, visited local wineries, played games, made a trip to Stillwater, and still had down time to talk and catch up on each other's lives.
