Gorgeous 5 acre property that that sits on the edge of the Island Park Caldera and overlooks the North Snake River Valley to the south. 4 Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms with ample space to stretch out and relax while taking in pristine views of the Teton Mountains, Snake River and Lake views. Quiet Alpine setting with access to National Forest and Yellowstone National Park nearby. Only 65 minutes to Old Faithful geyser in YNP.

Skiing at Grand Targhee only 45 minutes away.

Easy access to St Anthony Sand Dunes, Teton National Park and World Class Fly Fishing. The Henrys Fork of the Snake lies 300 yards down the hill from the house for Fly Fishing. This property is the recreationists ideal location for multiple adventures.

Ample space for the kids to play outside and enjoy the fresh mountain air as well all nature has to offer. Absolutly no smoking on property!

This lovely home was great for our family including Grandma. Their was a ton of room, with plenty of beds, views of the river were amazing. Tons to do close to the house with fishing, and state parks. Yellowstone is only an hour away. Place is very peaceful and quiet. Worked great for us!

Great base for Yellowstone adventure

We enjoyed our stay here. Host was very responsive and helpful, and the house had plenty of room and a good layout for our large family to stay. It's about 45 minutes to West Yellowstone, and we spent several days enjoying the forest, animals and attractions nearby. Check in and check out were simple and easy, and we had a great time. Would 100% recommend!

Great location

This house is in a great location! Close to fishing, gas stations, grocery stores, and Yellowstone. Plenty of room in the house for everyone. The property has amazing sunset views that overlook a river/reservoir. The kids had fun playing in the yard on the toys.

Thanks for responding. We just sprayed for bugs prior to your stay. They must have been fleeing. Being a home in the country next to national forest there are a few more than in the city. Our cleaning staff and the pest control were in the home just yesterday afternoon and have taken care of any remnants.

Amazing winter getaway!

This was an incredible family-friendly winter wonderland! The house was spacious but also cozy and inviting. The hosts respond quickly to questions and check-in was easy. There was great information about the area provided as well. There were many options of where to sleep. The bedding was new and comfortable. There were also games and puzzles available. The large dining table provided plenty of room for all to participate together! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it! I woukd love to stay in the summer months as well!

Overall nice place. Could have used a little better cleaning in the bathrooms, but ok. The main issue we had for a few days was the main a/c wasn't working for the living room, kitchen, and 2 bedrooms. It did get up to 82 in the house a couple days. The manager suggested for us to open the windows and turn the fans on, which we had already done. on our last day there they did bring over a portable a/c to put i the living room. It was an overall ok stay, just wish we could have cooled the house a little better.

Perfect Place for Big Families

I met my Mom, Daughter-in-laws & Granddaughter for a girls trip and it was simply the perfect place for us! There was room for us to spread out & hang together. We enjoyed the view, the cozy vibe of the house & the distance to town (Ashton). One of our favorite parts about the house was the fact that those who slept downstairs couldn’t hear everything happening upstairs. And speaking of the upstairs, the early risers of the bunch could make coffee & chat with other early risers without waking those sleeping upstairs. Plus, all but one bed that we used was super comfortable. Unlike SO many other houses this house had a reasonable cleaning fee AND we didn’t have to do a ton prior to checking out. I feel so blessed that I have daughter-in-laws that want to spend time with me & that we had such a great place to stay! We will be staying again sometime.

It's a convenient stay close to West Yellowstone. If you are a group of 6+, you could save a plenty of money and time by staying here. Don't worry about driving back and forth everyday. 3 bathrooms in this house would help you cut down the getting ready time. I'd recommend this stay. Tip : Plan to check in before sunset as this is in fairly remote place.

Great outdoor space

This home has some real positive aspects to it! The outdoor space was great for a family with kids and the family area downstairs worked well for our large group. Unfortunately, I can not give this property a stellar review. The house and property we’re not well maintained at the time. There was no gas for the gas BBQ. The air conditioning unit is very small for a home that size and as a previous review stated, we could not get the remote controls to work in the living room. Nonetheless, this home is well priced and in a good location if you are looking to visit Yellowstone.

Im sorry you felt that way. I attempted to do maintenance on the home while you stayed but you denied me access. I have the text messages. I had the contractual right to gain access to the property with proper notice which I provided. You denied me access probably because you have too many people staying at he home. I counted more than was allowed by the contract as well as my neighbor who’s house I was staying at. Im also sorry you weren’t able to operate the controls for the TV. It’s standard technology that most everyone has in their homes. I would have refilled the gas grill had I had access to the home which you denied me. It’s a shame that your review was so horrible when I made every attempt to remedy those issues and you never communicated the others to me. Once again most of these issues were caused by your non communication and violation of the rental contract terms.

Paradise in Ashton

We don’t like staying near tourists, so this was perfect for a Yellowstone home base. Lots to do in the area. Quick drive to the West Entrance. Beautiful property with acres for littles to roam and explore. The house was plenty big enough for our family of 13. Beds for everyone. Just as the pictures show. Well stocked with everything we needed. Two drawbacks that are pretty minor: 1.) the kitchen disposal doesn’t work, and 2.) the A/C isn’t adequate for a house that size. With that said, it didn’t much matter because the positives of the house FAR outweigh the negatives. As far as communication with the owner, couldn’t have been better. We were given access code a week before our departure, and anytime I (or my adult kids) needed to contact Micah, he did so quickly. He went far and above to make us happy. Great family trip. The memories will last forever. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!!

Beautiful homestead for family group

We arrived and found the home with a large quiet yard, complete with grill and firepit. We had several children staying who loved playing in the yard and treehouse and roasting marshmallows and hotdogs outside. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook nice family meals and there were plenty of clean beds and rooms for a large family group. I'm a runner and enjoyed early morning runs around the neighborhood, once again with beautiful views everywhere we went. We were able to get to Yellowstone and back easily every day of our trip and the house had great signals and wifi to help us plan our trip each day. One of our favorite features was the large common room/playroom complete with toys and bunkbeds. The cousins enjoyed having a sleepover in there every night and were easily entertained in the evenings by the toys available. I would absolutely recommend this home as a great value and location for a large family wanting a peaceful vacation off the beaten path.

This house is in a beautiful small town. We loved seeing miles and miles of wide open space and skies too. We also loved fishing close to the home at the Ashton Reservoir. Mesa falls was about a 30 minute drive and views of the Tetons were amazing. Also, West Yellowstone is only a short hour away. Our only complaints were that the grass was re seeded before we got there and no signs telling us to keep off the grass. Also, some bugs inside the home and the TV in the family room had no working remotes ( even with a change of batteries). But the home was beautiful and our stay was fun and good memories were made there. Thanks for letting us stay at your home.

Sometimes the remote controls get swapped between the two rooms. I’ll make sure we label them. Bugs get in the house when kids are in and out all day. This is a large family home that mostly people with kids stay in just north of a farming community. It is the country next to the National Forest. We have tried to limit that by installing self closing hinges. Playing and walking on the grass is fine. We only asked that bicycles not be driven on it. We appreciate the comments.

Family stay early June 2019

Great location. Lots of open space outside that was well maintained. Great view of the river form the back. Lots of sleeping space inside. Bunk beds in the basement were great. Supplies were good with ample of amenities like towels, toilet paper, blankets, kitchen utensils, etc. Kids enjoyed playing on play set in the backyard. Cleaning crew could have done a better job. There were some food particles on the floor under the dinning table. Also there was construction on highway 20 operating with only 1 lane open that resulted in some time spent in traffic just at the point of turnoff for the street to the house. Overall it was a great experience for us and we would recommend this to others looking to stay in this area.

My Husband and I love the Yellowstone ecosystem and providing opportunities for others to experience the same. We've lived all over the world but still call Moose Mountain home.

Why they chose this property

Its close to everything but away from the hectic pace of a the tourist areas. Its quiet and the neighbors that are spread far and wide are wonderful. This home is on the Hill overlooking the North end terminus of the Snake River Valley on the Border of Targhee National Forest. We live in this house a few months a year. We love it and have put a lot of time into it.

What makes this property unique

The stars at night will blow your mind. You can see all the details of the Milky way Galaxy and several planets given the time of year. You will feel the Majesty of Nature. Close to everything. The views from the living room are breathtaking. We have a Christmas tree farm on the property and watching them grow is a true joy. Better water than you have tasted in your whole life!! Parking for 6 cars.
