Beautiful farmhouse full of antiques l. It was perfect for a weekend stay to visit my daughter in Pittsburgh outside of the hustle and bustle of the city. We enjoyed the scenery great coffee deer vista in the morning and evenings. Fire pit was amazing for a chilly afternoon of relaxing.
Location was perfect for us. Easy access to expressway making it easy to enjoy activities in and around Pittsburgh. Christy was very gracious and accommodating. Location of house was very peaceful. We enjoyed staying there.
The property is the perfect place to share with family and friends. We really enjoyed our time there and everyone that stopped by to visit was very impressed. Christy went above and beyond to think of everything we might need for our stay. We did not expect that level of care, we highly recommend this beautiful farmhouse for the perfect stay minutes from Pittsburgh.
The grounds and house were very clean and beautiful. I loved the beautiful antique furniture and the gorgeous wood floors. The house was stocked with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable! We went there to cater a wedding for my granddaughter. It was a lot of work and it was nice to be able to get to the house and relax afterward.
Unfortunately, there was a death in my family and we had to come in from out of town for the funeral. Having stayed at Christy's house recently, I knew it was the best choice for us since the family houses were all full of out-of-town guests. The house was like a warm friend to come home to after a stressful day. Very peaceful, serene and well taken care of. We all had great sleep and enjoyed the comfort of this classic house and Christy's hospitality.

I was very happy to have Rob and his family stay at my place again, even though it was a sad event that brought them back. They always take wonderful care of my place and leave it in excellent condition. They're welcome back anytime.
We came to Pittsburgh to attend a concert over the weekend. The location of the house is a short 25 min drive to the stadium and local attractions in the heart of the city. The property itself is absolutely beautiful and serene, extremely clean, well appointed and has great charm. We truly appreciated the snack basket, water bottles, supplies and coffee selection! Even though we only stayed for a short weekend, it was very relaxing to sit at the fire pit area and watch the fireflies and listen to the silence. Would recommend to anyone!

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay! Thanks so much for sharing about your experience. I really appreciate it! I hope you can come back again soon!
My father, sister and I enjoyed our 4 night stay very much. The place was clean and the attention to detail in everything was impeccable. The house was stocked with everything you could ever need. We enjoyed the detailed write-up of the house’s history. We saw lots of wildlife including turkeys (one mama turkey with 17chicks!!!) and deer. There are fruit trees, blueberry bushes, and lovely flowers around the property. Check in/out was easy and we appreciated the flexibility that Christy offered. No complaints whatsoever...looking forward to staying here again next time we visit family in the area.

Thanks so much for sharing what you enjoyed about your stay! I'm glad you got to see so much wildlife!
This property was just what we needed, a quiet respite from everyday life. We came out to Pennsylvania for a family wedding and found this quaint farmhouse to be the perfect place to recharge in between all our family visits and activities. The memory of sitting on the back porch wrapping up each day with a glass of wine and enjoying a view of just the fields, trees, stars, sunsets, and lightning (and lighting bugs too) will stay with my family forever. We were truly able to unplug. And very charming, cozy and well appointed inside. We would absolutely consider a trip just to stay here again. Thank you!

Thanks so much for sharing. I loved living there before I got married and am glad I can continue to share it with guests like you who appreciate what a special place it truly is. You're welcome back anytime.
The stay was close to our tournament and we enjoyed the stay. The old furniture was lovely. However the living room furniture was not very comfortable but over all the owner was very easy to contact pre-stay and the kitchen was well stocked as we spent most our time there. As there was four in our party the two bedrooms were very close but we knew that going in. Overall we enjoyed the stay.
We were pleasantly surprised to find this charming old farmhouse for rent online and even more pleased to get there and find out how awesome, quiet and clean it was!
We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at the farmhouse. The house is comfortable and well-appointed and beautifully maintained. Christie thought of everything in preparing for our visit, and was available to answer any questions quickly over text. It is a lovely, serene setting, great for unplugging. We also took a little trip to pittsburgh to look around, which was very close. We would definitely stay at the house again.

I'm so glad you enjoyed you time at my farmhouse. Please do come again.
I love the country. North Ridge Farm started as my great grandparents summer home. I have many fond memories including visiting my grandparents as well as living there a few years before I got married. My husband and I live on a dairy farm further north with our son.
I also love to travel! Some of my favorite destinations include South Africa, Israel, Peru, Bolivia as well as Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon! I work in higher education and have had the opportunity to travel with my job. One of my favorite experiences was teaching at a missionary school in Paraguay.
Why they chose this property
This house has been in my family for almost a century. It was purchased by my great-step grandfather. I grew up down the road and have fond memories visiting by step-grandfather there. I also lived there a short time before I got married. It is one of my favorite places to stay. Listening to the birds while relaxing on the spacious front porch, watching wild turkey and deer wander by is like no other place for rest & relaxation.
