About this property

Fall is phenomenal in this secluded cabin!

Enjoy this peaceful, idyllic setting in Parks, AZ to disconnect from the rat race, get back to nature, and recenter your soul. The property backs up to the Kaibab National Forest, and deer, elk, owls, and many more critters are frequent visitors. Nearby hiking trails make for a nice afternoon stroll. After dinner, sit on our spacious deck and enjoy the sunset over the mountaintops. When the sun goes down, head out amongst the majestic ponderosas to check out every star in the sky.

Our property is at the entrance to this very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The neighbors are super friendly and everyone has at least 2 acres, so no one is particularly close. There are two small convenience stores and a gas station 6 miles from the place right off interstate 40.

You'll have the run of the place while you're there with the exception of the garage. Both bedrooms have queen size beds, the kitchen is set up with all the necessary appliances except a dishwasher and is fully stocked with all the delicious condiments you'll need. There is a fireplace in the living room that will help keep you toasty on those chilly nights, and we have a huge deck out front where you can relax and enjoy a few adult beverages. There is a small guest house on the property with electricity that can sleep a couple of extra guests. You would need to supply an air mattress or cot and there is no heat out there, but it is quite cozy in the summer time.

Even though it feels like you are a million miles from civilization, we are close to the action here in northern AZ:

- 25 minutes from both Flagstaff and Williams
- 60 minutes from Arizona Snowbowl
- 60 minutes from Sedona
- 60 minutes from the Grand Canyon
- And if you're feeling frisky, we're only 3.5 hours from Las Vegas

Wonderful getaway in the pines

This had plenty of space for our family of 4! Outdoors in the evenings we played horseshoes, enjoyed the deck seating, and walked around. Sunsets were amazing. Cool mornings perfect for coffee in the rocking chair. Great location for our ventures to Williams, Grand Canyon and Snow Bowl. Five hours from our home, but we'll probably be back!

Charming Cabin - A Peaceful Retreat That Can't Be Beat

We really enjoyed our stay at Andy's cabin. We were surrounded by good 'ole mother nature and still had easy access to everything we needed. We enjoyed Andy's collection of wildlife books and hiking guides as well as watching the birds, squirrels, chipmunks, deer and elk pass through the property. The location provided us easy drives to many of the beautiful spots of N. Arizona. Andy was a great host!

Great Time

This was a perfect place to relax and unwind. Was a little disappointed that the horseshoes weren’t available since it was on the site and there was no way to bbq, but we really enjoyed our stay. The owner was quick to respond when we called and he was even on vacation himself. Great central location to Williams, flagstaff and a short drive to the south rim. Loved it

Perfect getaway!

From the moment of booking to the check out process, Andy made the process easy. The cabin was clean when we arrived and the neighborhood was quiet. Front porch offered views of a pasture with mountains in the distance. Even though the cabin is located in the country it’s a short drive to The Grand Canyon, Sedona & Williams. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend to anyone!

Perfect getaway!

We planned a lot of sight seeing on our visit to Arizona and this place worked perfectly allowing us to make day trips and return to a quiet peaceful retreat away from the crowds to regroup for the next adventure. Seems like every day we headed in a different direction. Spent a day in Williams and took the train to the Grand Canyon, drove to Tusayan and used the free shuttle service to get some more views of the canyon, a couple hours up to Page for the Lower Antelope Canyon tour and some sightseeing in that area, down to the Sedona Red Rock area and a visit to Palatki Ruins, a drive out historic Rte 66 - one day white water rafting trip in Peach Springs for us while the other couple we were with continued on to Kingman and up to the Hoover Dam before returning to pick us up. Obviously we were very busy and did a lot of driving so having everything we needed in such a relaxing atmosphere was a godsend. The cabin was very comfortable; clean and roomy. Andy was very accommodating and great to work with. Thanks for a wonderful place to stay!

I am a very clean, organized person who believes in treating someone's place as if it was my own. Having me as a guest means no worries for you. I like to expect the same from my guests as well. Mutual respect goes a long way in my world.

Why they chose this property

We all know how fast-paced and hectic life can get, and we were looking for a spot that could take us away from all that. We hit the jackpot! This place is super peaceful, serene, and the stress just melts right off of you as soon as you step out of your car and breathe in the sweet scent of ponderosa pines. All of us need a little bit of that special sauce to keep things on an even keel.

What makes this property unique

Other than recharging your soul, our place offers a lot of unique benefits. We are a stones throw away from some of the most beautiful places in the country - 60 minutes from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, 60 minutes from Sedona, 45 minutes from Arizona's best skiing in the winter months (Arizona Snowbowl), and a short 3.5 hours from Las Vegas. All that accessibility and you feel like you're out in the middle of nowhere enjoying frequent visits from the resident deer, elk, and antelope and a million dollar view of just about every star in the sky. We would be selfish not to share this experience with people, so what are you waiting for?!?
