TWO KING Bedrooms and One Queen + Twin Sleeping loft, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6-9)
Our names are Darrel & Merrie, we met in Williams & have been married 46 years. We have 2 grown children and 5 grandchildren. Merrie grew up in the area, and has always called it "home", she loves the mountains, pines and the quiet pace of the location.
Merrie purchased this Cabin in 2007
Why Merrie chose Williams
We purchased the acre of land in 2002 and dreamed of the day we would see our cabin there on the property. We drew the plans and sub-contracted the construction beginning in 2005, and the home was, for the most part, completed in 2007. There was no intention of renting our home at that time, but with the economy crunch in 2010, we made the choice to share our home as a vacation rental, rather than selling it. We have enjoyed the process, and have been doing some finishing touches and updates since then. A fresh coat of interior paint, new drapes and rug, a new microwave, a 4K UHD tv in the lower bedroom, updated Dishnet Hopper satellite system are a few of the changes made since the first of this year (2019.) We are confident you will enjoy the property, and make many happy memories there.
What makes this Cabin unique
There is a peacefulness you'll feel when staying at our home, and the proximity to the Grand Canyon, Williams, Bearizona, The Grand Canyon Railway, Flagstaff and Sedona makes our home perfect for daily outings taking in all the sites. We enjoy taking the family to the cabin to enjoy the cool weather in summer. The smell of the pines, relaxing around the fire pit and taking walks in the forest, along with the occasional sightings of the deer, elk and antelope in the area are a welcome change of pace. The Kaibab squirrels that live in the neighborhood enjoy the handouts and are very entertaining. Winters are beautiful with the fresh snow, sledding and holidays in front of the fireplace with coffee, spiced cider and hot chocolate. Christmas in Williams is a sight to see, with the lighting of the huge Christmas tree, and boarding the Polar Express is a joy for the kiddies, young and old. Bearizona Wildlife Park and The Deer Farm are a must see, near Williams, only a few miles away. (Sorry, we do not host pets in consideration of those with allergies)

Lovely gem in Williams
We absolutely loved our stay. We were thrilled at how well maintained and stocked the home was. It was plenty big enough for each of us to have our space yet cozy enough for making family memories! Thank you so much.
Private, quiet get away
This property is a short drive from I-40 but a world away. The area is rural and private but not isolated. It is quiet, except for occasional train sounds. We did not have to contact Merrie during our stay but she made sure we knew how to contact her should we need to. For anyone wanting to visit the newly opened Kadampa Buddhist Temple for World Peace or IKRC Grand Canyon Retreat Center, this is a great location! The house is very clean and has everything needed for a comfortable stay.
The Perfect Vacation Cottage
This place absolutely exceeded my expectations...and they were high. Well stocked, clean, and beautiful, and in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. The perfect place to relax after exploring the area. The owners were helpful and lovely to communicate with. I can’t say enough good things about this place!
Place was awesome, clean and better than anticipated
This was the first time we used vrbo and it was above our expectations. The cottage Is lovely. It was super clean, comfortable, and in a quiet, peaceful setting. We were traveling through AZ to a family wedding and stopping to go to the Grand Canyon with our family. The cottage was a perfect retreat for our travels. Thank you Merrie!
