About this property

THE BOTHY at Swinton Hill - A Perfect Couples Retreat in a Peaceful Location

A very pretty stone cottage set in a peaceful location with far-reaching views over farmland to the hills beyond.

Perfect couples' retreat in a super location
The perfect couples' retreat, the cottage offers well-presented, spacious accommodation in a super location at the end of a private road on the Swinton Hill Estate.

Inside, the sunny open-plan living space is the convivial heart of the house. The smart kitchen is well equipped with plenty of thoughtful extras which make this a real home-from-home. The bedroom is warm and comfortable with crisp linens and pretty cottage detailing to ease you into a lovely sleep after a day in the great outdoors.

Lovely holiday accommodation
The house was lovely, set in a secluded area but not too far from a town. Everything has been thought of to make the stay enjoyable and the arrival tray of bread milk and cake, was very welcome. Fresh flowers were also a nice addition. The Bothy provided the ideal base for discovering the surrounding area of the Borders and Northumbria. The owners were not intrusive, but were available should we have needed them. It was easy to book the accommodation and communication between the agent was excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate to stop here again.
