You can tell this family loves their home. The minute you walk in it feels like home. Their large, overstocked kitchen with Viking range had everything we needed to prep 3 meals a day. Plenty of silverware, flatware and glassware, plus herbs, ziploc bags, aluminum foil, serving utensils, etc.
The 2 master suites are incredibly spacious, although the queen sized bed mattress needs to be replaced as it sags in the middle and the upstairs master bath has a loose outlet. Plenty of towels and toiletries as well. We wanted to try out the stair chair but it didn't have batteries.
The backyard is massive and fully fenced in, great for dogs and children with a swing set nearby. There are 2 decks, one larger one in the front with cushioned chairs and table with umbrella, and a smaller back deck with a table and a large gas grill that worked perfectly.
The only 2 major downers were that it's a steep and long 20 minute walk to the Dollar Point private beach so you really need to drive to carry everything, but there is limited parking at the beach. It has tennis courts too! We also could not figure out how to access the gated beach/courts as the instruction binder didn't mention if there is a key or passcode. We did find 1 extra key but it didn't work. The other downside was, even though the internet worked for most of us, it didn't allow VPN access for my husband to work from the cabin and he had to do a lot of work over the phone instead - unsure how to fix that.
Overall a wonderful stay! We even had a mama bear and her 3 cubs wander by the back fence, and another one opened the empty neighbor's sliding door and ate a bunch of peanut butter (we informed the Sheriff). Nature, beach and so close to downtown - what could be better?! Would love to stay again!
