About this property

Cabin in hiking heaven with access to beautiful Webb Lake - the Western Mtns

This clean and comfortable cabin is in Weld, Maine - a center for hiking and outdoor recreation in the beautiful, uncrowded Western Mountains of Maine. Fantastic family getaway or cozy couples retreat. Complete privacy with tons to do and see.
While you’re at the cabin, use the season pass to visit beautiful Webb Lake, just down the road, for swimming and boating.

Available by the week or for long weekends. Minimum three night stay. Owner lives just down the street.

A state park pass is provided which allows you to hike the acclaimed mountain trails in Mt. Blue State Park, swim in the clear waters of Webb Lake, rent kayaks and canoes from the park headquarters and enjoy the incredible scenery and serenity of one of the largest and loveliest state parks in Maine, or just relax on the porch with a good book. No crowds, lines or traffic jams to deal with.

Use the camp as your base and explore the many lakes and byways of the region, with warm clear days and crisp nights. Heat is available in the cabin. Cook out on the gas grill at the camp and the kitchen has all the utensils you need for cooking and dining, but you should plan to bring your own food, unless you want to make a trip to the grocery store during your stay.

A washer and dryer is on-premises, along with linens, towels, and all the cookware and dishes you need. Two full bathrooms with stall showers, plus gas stove and oven, microwave and dishwasher. Two separate dining areas, and tv.

Enjoy the huge yard, complete with firepit for toasting marshmallows, star-filled evenings and absolute quiet of this beautiful location.

Separate main floor bedroom with queen-size bed, huge second floor, air-conditioned room with five twin beds, full bathroom - one large space but equal to at least two bedrooms in size!

Ceiling fans on first and second floors.

Living/dining area on the first floor. Big enclosed front porch with more dining options and a daybed to sleep one more.

If you want a comfortable, clean and serene place to vacation this is it! Great value.

Our parents bought the property over 45 years ago as a family vacation home. Over 20 years ago their son, Jim and his wife Chris, moved up to Weld, and raised their children here. They are your hosts, and are very knowledgeable about what Weld and the surrounding areas have to offer.

Why they chose this property

It is a peaceful and relaxing place to stay, and perfect for families with children. There is a huge yard to run around, trails to go exploring, and the state park/beach is just down the road.

What makes this property unique

Best hiking in the state of Maine and if you don’t want to hike there’s lots of other things to do at the lake or at the cabin.
