We booked a master suite in the Mayan Palace, but were contacted a few days later and told there was no room available, so we were downgraded to the Sea Garden hotel. The Sea Garden was okay, but it is considered the lowest hotel in the Vidanta group and did not have access to the pools at any of the other hotels. It is also separated from the other hotels and we had to either walk the beach or take a 20 minute drive to get to the other hotels where all the good restaurants and night life are located. We will probably never go to Vidanta again, as you are also not as free to come and go as when we have stayed at other hotels or condos.
