The property is well repersented by the pictures and very clean. It was the most well stocked rental I've ever been to. It is clearly rented some weekends and used by the owner on others, The cabin is well loved and it shows. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
We had a fabulous stay at this cabin. All of our needs were met. The hosts go above and beyond. It was very clean, spacious, and super cute. It was even decorated for Christmas. I highly recommend this cabin.
Shannon is very quick in responding to any inquiries we sent. Definitely dog friendly place and neighborhood. Very nice place to stay. We did a pontoon tour with Captain Rons Swam-worth the 30 minute trip to see Caddo Lake.
The cabin was such a delight. The kitchen is fully stocked just as if you were at home. Fenced in property to keep kids and pets safe. Such a lovely property. Family and pet friendly. Charming, peaceful, great views, wrap around porch, very clean, easy directions to the cabin, easy check in process, host experience was great with prompt communication. Will book again at this property fo sure.
Excellent location on the lake on a beautiful cove. Quiet neighborhood. Great big fenced yard and large deck would be excellent place for family gathering. Clise wnough to Jefferson for those who like antique shopping. Really enjoyed our stay here.
Very nice cabin and accommodations. The lake is also very nice. Screened in yard was great for our pet. Did some kayaking and fishing. Toured Jefferson.
Our stay was unfortunately very disappointing and stressful. The property was difficult to locate due to no visible house numbers or porch light, and upon arrival we found the refrigerator and tubs dirty, no hot water, heavy dust around the bedding, multiple wasps inside, and several downstairs windows unlocked, including one that would not lock. After traveling 3½ hours from Dallas, being forced to take cold showers and question the cleanliness and safety of the home was extremely frustrating. When we contacted the host about these issues, the conversation escalated and we were told to leave, which led us to contact local law enforcement who confirmed we had the right to remain since we had paid. Although VRBO later issued a partial refund, we never received an apology or direct response from the host, and the overall experience significantly disrupted what was meant to be a relaxing getaway.

First to address some of your issues. The house does not have house numbers because it is too far from the road. The address is on the gate with solar powered lights on either side. There is a giant security light near the driveway and the house has patio lights strung on 3 sides that are on a dusk to dawn timer. You claimed the refrigerator was unusable when there was a small amount of liquid in between 2 ridges of one of the drawers. Should it have been there, absolutely not, but it did not make the refrigerator unusable. I am not sure how dust gets on the backside of a pillow sham, unless someone used it to dust off a trim board. The sink drain's finish is coming off, it was not toothpaste. The windows have a full sheet of plexi on the outside, so even if the open the windows you can't get in or out of the window. There is no reason for the window to be unlocked, but I have added it to my check list.
When you called at 3 am to tell me the refrigerator was gross, there was dust on the bedding, dead wasp on the floor and you were taking pictures, I had to first clear my mind of no family member was hurt or dead and nothing was on fire. When I asked you were you really calling me at 3 am to tell me my refrigerator was gross, that's when you mentioned the hot water not working. I would have led with that. If you knew the hot water was not working earlier in the evening, why did you wait until 3 am to call? When I was trying to explain to check the water heater breaker, you mentioned the picture taking to me again. That told me you weren't looking for a resolution, you were looking for a free weekend. You said you were constantly concerned about your safety and the cleanliness, yet you stayed another night.
Vrbo did not issue a partial refund, I issued you a full refund of my part and Vrbo did not refund any of their part. When someone stays at my house, I want them to enjoy themselves, feel at home, tell their friends how wonderful it was and to be planning their next trip back as they are pulling out of the gate. I would really like to tell you I am sorry that you did not have that experience at my house, but I don't think that was what you wanting. I think you got exactly what you wanted, free lodging.
My family and I had a wonderful stay! The grandson's enjoyed ping pong and their first time ever fishing. They didn't catch any fish but had wonderful, quality time with their Papaw. Our 10-mo. old puppy had a great time zooming all around the fenced in yard. The home is fully stocked with anything you could possibly need. Plenty of room for entertaining many, yet cozy and relaxing with just a few. I definitely will be back. Highly recommended!
I enjoyed being close to the lake, and having a place to dock our barge. Nice house with a lot of yard for my little dog to run free. Thanks for sharing your house.
My wife and I stayed for a few days after the New Years and couldn't have been happier! The house have everything you need to stay in and cook and is in a great location on the lake!

Glad to have you back and new anglers in the family
Our family enjoyed the cozy cabin. It was decorated for Christmas, which was a pleasant surprise. The location was great, just a short drive to the quaint town of Jefferson.
