Pretty village house for 8 persons and pool secured with fence
Ideally located at the entrance of the village of Goult, the house sits in the heart of a small hamlet. Though recently constructed, the property contains all the charm and traditional materials of the region. The door opens onto a staircase leading to the ground floor to the public areas and bedroom 1, and upstairs to the 3 other bedrooms. Down the stairs, you arrive in the living room and a fully equipped kitchen with a large table for family meals. Thanks to large windows, the rooms are very bright. Also, you have direct access to the terrace and garden. The pool is secured by a fence. The bedroom 1 located next to the entrance is spacious with storage cupboards. It has its own shower room with wash basin. Independent toilets are located right next to the stairs. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms with double bed, one of which has its own shower room. The 4th bedroom with twin beds, shares the bathroom with the bedroom 3. There is independent WC. The garden is shaded by trees. There is a part of a covered terrace with dining for lunch in the shade and a seating area to relax. This home offers every comfort for a perfect family vacation!

My family stayed in this house in Goult for 2 weeks and we loved everything about it. It is well located in the gorgeous town in the Luberon, that has everything you could need - a boulangerie, cafes, restaurants, pizza place, fromagerie, boucherie, and small corner shop with fruit and veg. The town is near so many other gorgeous villages and being in the Luberon, right in the middle of many walks through the area. The manager, Herve, was extremely communicative, exceptionally helpful and so kind when the traffic delayed our arrival by 2 hours. I would thoroughly recommend this house.
Hervé is prompt and responsive and generous in basic welcoming supplies. Has everything for a great vacation- we very much enjoyed our stay-highly recommend!
The property was just as described, very large, beautiful pool, and lovely covered back patio was perfect in the occasional afternoon rain. Easy location to explore all the other towns in the area. Herve was very accommodating with some last minute requests and we would recommend this for a relaxing vacation.
Fabulous location and thoroughly enjoyed the house with our family. Would definitely stay in the property again. The only snag was the pool needed more regular cleaning and the pool surrounds and garden could have more attention paid.

Overall the property was exactly as advertised. We had a wonderful stay for 2 weeks. Herve was very helpful and responsive. Goult is a gem of a town, charming, quiet, and an excellent jumping off point to explore the surrounding areas. Thank you. We will be back!
Fantastic location, Herve the property manager was brilliant. The house is lovely but we found the pool area a bit dirty and had to clean it down ourselves, also you cant sit around the pool and it is in the shade for the majority of the day (some of us found it too cold for swimming). Overall very gopd but pool set up is not ideal for families.
Lovely house in a great location just a couple of minutes from the centre of Goult.
Herve was so helpful and friendly throughout the stay
Given the weather was perfect the garden, the seating areas and the pool was our main focus but the inside of the house also very comfortable. Air conditioning was very welcome at night
Overall a fantastic weeks holiday for our family of 6 but with 4 bedrooms all of a good size could easily take 8 people. Highly recommended
We loved our stay, which was perfect for our family. Herve could not have been easier to communicate with. The house is in a perfect location for exploring the many villages all in close proximity. We loved coming back after days of marketing to sit outside in the yard and enjoy family meals in a beautiful setting. The house was clean, well equipped and lovely. We would 100 percent book it again . Our only caveat is that to eat dinner at any of the restaurants in Goult - reservations must be made months in advance to your arrival. Still- we loved the short walk up for fresh croissants each morning, walking to the grocer for any added ingredients needed, and simply enjoying the beauty and charm of the village - a true hidden gem!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
great location, medium facility
The house is in a great location, very close to main attraction villages. Goult has several decent restaurants, , pizza, boulangerie, boutcherie, épicerie, fromagerie - so you can get in walking distance all products for cooking at home or eat out.
the house itself is not perfect: only 2 toilets, none are ensuite. 3 showers, only 2 are ensuite. I would expect more from a recently built house. the kitchen is not designed for practical use, and has very limited work area. Dishes, utensils and and pots were not clean and required a wash prior to using.
Herve the manager was very responsive and helpful.
We had a fantastic stay in Goult, Herve the property manager was brilliant and very responsive. The property is in a fabulous location, just a minutes’ walk to Goult centre with its Boulangerie, Butcher, Convenience Store and Bars and Restaurants etc. We were a family of four and the house was perfect – nicely finished inside and incredibly comfortable. It had everything we needed. Air Conditioning units were really effective and quiet and given it was August very welcome.
The only disappointment was the pool area which needed more regular cleaning. The pool surrounds and garden could be a lot nicer. The outside furniture is not very comfortable, and the grass and garden areas are in need of some attention. There is an electric BBQ rather than a Gas BBQ. The outside is just not as nice as the inside of the property. We would love to return if the garden and outside areas were improved.

A delightful house in a delightful village
We can highly recommend this house. Although comparatively modern, it's built to a high standard from traditional Provencal materials, making it feel as if it could be 200 years old, with lots of character. The downstairs rooms remain cool on hot days and there is a well laid out garden, with two eating areas - one in the open air for evening meals, and one under a beautifully constructed loggia for shade during the daytime. The lush grass and plants are watered by a nightime system and there's a gas barbecue provided, although we didn’t use it.
The private pool is separated off by a fence and gate for safety if you have little ones, and is almost entirely hidden from any other buildings surrounding the house. There is even a garage, although the folding doors are a little fiddly. Both the house and the garden are stylishly equipped, with comfortable sofas, TV, good wifi that seemed to work throughout the house and garden, and a big fridge, gas and electric oven, dishwasher and washing machine in the kitchen.
We stayed there for two weeks and a very friendly cleaner came in twice during that time, changing the bedding once and leaving the place spotless both times. Someone also came to check and clean the pool while we were there, so it is well managed, looked after by the friendly agency in the village – so someone is nearby to sort out problems if any arise.
The house is on the edge of the village, so it’s just a gentle 5 minute walk to the café, boulangerie and shops. If you don’t know Goult, it is right in the middle of the most popular part of the Luberon – Peter Mayle’s Menerbes is across the valley, and famous Gordes is just a few kilometres to the north – but unlike them it still has the feel of a community where lots of locals still live, so is popular with those in the know. It has several restaurants but the Cafe de la Poste is a focus, for leisurely coffees in the morning, food and wine at lunchtime, and drinks in the evening. Unusually, while they don’t serve food at night, you can order a pizza from the shop opposite and they'll bring it over the road to you on a plate. There is also usually live music there on Friday nights.
Further afield, there are lots of lovely villages and antiquities to visit nearby, and the town of Apt is just 15 mins away in the car, with big supermarkets, a large weekly market and several good restaurants. Avignon is about 30-40 mins away.
We really enjoyed staying here.

Thank you very much! It's very kind of you! We hope to welcome next year!!

We enjoyed a great two-week stay in Goult. The villa was super - very clean, well presented, and equipped. Hervé was really helpful, very responsive and couldn't have been nicer to deal with. The garden has plenty of space, and a lovely cool pool for those hot summer days.
The weather was super-hot when we were there (36c-38c each day) and while the villa didn't have air conditioning, we soon figured out how to keep the house cool at night.
Like most places there were a few mosquitos but nothing that we couldn't deal with and Hervé supplied bug zapping lamps and lemon oil to keep the little munchers away.
The villa is ideally located in Goult village. It is 50m from the Boulangerie, and has 4-restaurants within a 5-min walk. The village is an unspoilt Provencal setting. Tons to do, lots of wineries around.
Excellent! Perfect property for us (4 adults and a baby) with large living area, outside space and swimming pool. Very close 2min walk to Goult shops and restaurants (make sure you book early). We loved our stay.
We had a super time at the house which is well located in Goult a lovely village in the Luberon. Hervé was unfailingly helpful and made things easy for us. Travelling right now is complicated especially with an elderly parents. But Hervé made it easier. He was flexible with the booking conditions, immediately helpful when we needed time sensitive advice and printed out some documents we required for a flight. Things are difficult right now and it’s lovely to encounter such kind, generous folks.
Cordialement

About the host
Hosted by VL HT/Hervé
Living in Hong Kong, we wanted my family to have a foothold in Provence to enjoy the sunny days in idyllic surroundings.
Why they chose this property
You are in the heart of one of the most beautiful villages of the Luberon, with all amenities within walking distance (bakery, butcher, grocery, cafe, restaurants)
What makes this property unique
This is the real Provence, full of character. A sweet dolce vita of a climate and pure clean air which just breathes the incredible contrasts between a rich, and variable natural environment : the blue strides of lavender, the subtle nuances of green in the forests, the flamboyant and blinding colours of the cliffs of ochre, or the austere white of the limestone hills.
