Quiet, peaceful and private
The property and house is beautiful and described well. We had 8 adults and 3 small children and we had plenty of room for everyone. The decent size dining room table hosted card games and the pool table in the basement was super fun.
The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, utensils, pots & pans, etc. However, there were only 2 kitchen towels and no wash clothes (luckily we brought our own after reading the previous reviews).
There was one bath towel per person, which was fine for our family because we brought our own large beach towels for the water fun.
The water is very clear, and even though there are weeds in the shallow area, they are "clean weeds"...not like the green algae stuff in southern Minnesota.
The paddle boat was fun and clean. There was only one canoe paddle so we used an oar from the row boat. We just appreciated that they offered water craft at all.
We only have one complaint and it's really more of a concern. The bottom stair going down to the dock is broken. I was the first one to step on it. I stumbled on the step, but was able to recover my balance. Luckily I went in front of my 81 year old mother. I don't think she would have been able to catch herself, in which case this would be a very different review.
