The condo was very clean and very roomy for my 4 person family with teens. We enjoyed the quiet location with lots of restaurants around. Checking in was very easy and they let us check in early. My only complaint was the place was very minimally stocked. There was water and Gatorade in the fridge which was nice, but the bathroom was very minimally stocked and the kitchen didn't have any basic cooking items such as oil which made it difficult to cook.

Thank you Laura and family for your time in writing this review. We are excited you enjoyed the condo, location and cleanliness of Margaux in The Julia Building, one of the original Thirteen Sisters of Julia, built in late 1820's.
We do have cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes and drinkware, however, when it comes to items like cooking oils, we do not leave items like that. It may have been contaminated by a previous guest, and we don't want any harm to your family. That is why we offer a grocery concierge service, we pick up your paid for, ordered groceries from a local market, and place them in the condo, fridge, freezer or pantry, so your items that you are used to will be there during your stay dates. That would include any plastic wrap, aluminum foils, spices or seasonings. We do leave each guest 6 bottles of water and 4 Gatorades, so you can start hydrating after traveling.
As for the bathrooms, we leave minimum of 2 rolls of toilet tissue, travel size conditioning shampoo and two individually wrapped soaps. We also include what many vacation rentals do not, dishwasher tablets, a small bottle of Dawn dish detergent and sponge, 3 packs of French Market Coffee in 12 cup packets for the drip coffeemakers and a few filters, with a handful of non-dairy cream, a roll of paper towels, a few trash bags and Tide pods and fabric softener sheets, for when you eat out or in general you can wash any stains out of your clothes, so those don't have to go home dirty.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property. Great location, spacious and very clean

Thank you Jeffrey and family for the 5 Star Review of this hidden gem along St. Charles Ave. in the Arts & Warehouse District of downtown New Orleans. It really is a wonderful location to all there is to do, go, see and eat while in New Orleans in the spring.
Our unbelievable detailed housekeeping krewes keep this 1830's build historic building and condos in pristine condition as it keeps that exposed brick charm of old New Orleans.

Thank you Connie and family for not cancelling your trip to New Orleans after HUrricane Ida. So glad we were able to have your traveling party to stay with us, although we did move you from The Julia, of Thirteen Sisters of Julia Row, over to The Picayune Building, our newspaper themed decor condos in the old Times - Picayune Newspaper Building.
Although none of our historic properties sustained damages from Ida, we did our part to host some relief workers at The Julia and upgraded you to "Front Page News" so you would have that gallery balcony to enjoy our city even more.
We welcome you back again.

Beautiful place, perfect for our “Swiftie” girls trip. Location was perfect. Close to action but far enough away as to be quiet at night.

Thank you Michaela and friends for the 5 Star Review of Margaux in The Julia Building, one of the Original Thirteen Sisters of Julia Row.
So glad you had a wonderful time in New Orleans and thought your visit was perfect! We cannot say enough about this location, being so close to the Superdome, Smoothie King Center Arena, even WWII Museum and Convention Center, if you needed to attend events at any of these locations.
So, we are 8 blocks away from the French Quarter, but it not that far of a walk, and you are away from the constant chaos of Bourbon Street so get much needed rest and sleep, for all of the fun filled activities and adventures that abound in our beloved city, with or without Taylor Swift being here.
We would love to host you again, so contact us prior to making those future reservations to get the most current Return Guest Discount promo code.
Now you have a favorite place to stay the next rime you see a concert in New Orleans and to VacayNOLA!
Nice place, the supplies are very limited. The place was very clean, very nicely decorated, and the beds were SO COMFORTABLE!!!

Thank you Kellie for visiting and thought this was a perfect location. It is truly a great place to be, close to all attractions, so many eateries, not in the French Quarter that are close and tucked away in this quiet Arts & Warehouse District of the City.
We know how hot it can be here, so yes, we leave you a few cold beverages in the fridge.

Excellent place with all the amenities (and then some that are simply bonuses) in an excellent location, close to wherever you might want to go. Cleanliness was next to Godliness, and the place is absolutely spectacular! Stay here and you will not be disappointed!!!

Thanks Chris, we think our guest are awesome, too! I'll let housekeeping know you appreciated the attention to detail in the cleanliness of the condo.
Although not a common occurrence, we are glad you let us know of the mishap someone had in the hallway, one of our residents also found some of the same in their potted plants on the walkway, which our dedicated housekeepers for the building also cleaned each plant's leaves and stems of the vomit. It is ashamed that had to happen, but a lot of guest to New Orleans, in general, just don't realize, we pour hard here!
So glad to know you were not disappointed. Give us a call when your group is ready to make another visit. VacayNOLA!
We had a wonderful time. The unit was centrally located. It was within walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Really enjoyed the property. The building is beautiful with tons of exposed brick, high ceilings and luxurious trim and moldings throughout. Location is super convenient. Unit was well equipped and even some nice extras like coffe and bottled water. Especially liked the fact that both bedrooms have en suite bath access since we were two couples. Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for the kind words on our corner condo that overlooks St. Charles Ave. & Julia Street. We kept the original building features of exposed brick, fireplaces and mantles, weight & pulley windows and added the modern conveniences of marble bathrooms, granite counters in the kitchen with stainless appliances, and flat screen TV in each room. We love our city and use local, French Market Coffee, cooled waters in the fridge, and who doesn't love to take home some Mardi Gras beads when you leave New Orleans? VacayNOLA
Great location, beautiful apartment, and quick, thoughtful communication. An excellent stay for anyone visiting NOLA for the first time and looking for a home base to explore the city from. We were right next to the trolley, but everything was also within walking distance or a ten minute Uber away. Perfect place to spend the weekend!

My friends and I really loved this property!! The apartment was clean and beautiful inside. The decor and exposed brick were great and it was stocked with everything we needed. The neighborhood is also great and the food and drinks at The Little Easy which is downstairs was also great! The communication with vacaynola before and during our stay was top notch! I highly recommend this VRBO!

Thank you Angelica for the 5 Star Review. This is a great hidden gem of a wonderful place to stay when in New Orleans, Essence Fest or Saints' Football games at the Superdome, as this condo is so very centrally located to all of these venues and French Quarter.
So glad to hear that you liked the condo, décor, it still has all of that classis New Orleans charm of 1830's original exposed brink.
We love the 2 restaurants to either side of The Julia, True Food Kitchen, but mostly The Little Easy for those great pressed po' boys and whatever adult beverage you choose, because it not a far walk to get back to the condo, if you have too many.

Response from VrboOwner on 14 Jan 2022
Thank you Lou for the time for this review. New Years in NOLA, what a great time. The city is still decorated for the Holidays and lots of festivities for Sugar Bowl are going on. We are sorry that we didn't make your marks for a 5*, but do agree that the entryway was a bit messy, as we had 2 long term tenants move out that weekend, so there was a lot of marks, furniture moved that hit the corner of the hallway, knocking off the drywall, and probably still a lot of household trash and I think they even left rugs and a sofa in the courtyard trash area that we had to get rid of.
We had the key fobs getting re-coded for 2022 and didn't get them back before your arrival date.
"Little Easy" is the locally owned and operated bar & grill just below the condos and Brian is a character. He has some really good food, too! We eat there at least once a week or more depending on the pressed po-boy sandwiches he has for the daily specials.
We are elated you still had a positive overall enjoyment of These historic condos of The Julia, in this condo one of the "Original Thirteen Sisters of Julia Row".
VacayNOLA!
Wonderful space for four people. Right on the street car line but also great walking distance to the French Quarter as well. We really enjoyed having coffee and water and Gatorade and some beverages awaiting us. That was a very nice touch. We had an excellent stay - only one minor comment which is one of the bathrooms ran out of toilet paper. Would stay here again and would recommend it to all!
