Everything was great - wifi was spotty and hot water sparse but location, comfort, amenities, all made up for it. We had a lovely stay!

Thank you Nicole! We have had the hot water heater de-scaled and hopefully fixed the issues. I'm sorry it wasn't working to full potential for you! Glad you enjoyed the house otherwise!
Everything was wonderful! The home is beautiful and had all the extras to make our stay stress free. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We stay in Lake Lure once if not twice a year and will definitely return. It was our favorite spot so far. Our family made great memories. Thank you for sharing your home.
This home was so so beautiful & very spacious and comfortable! There were so many thoughtful "extras" to increase our level of comfortability like a space heater and plenty of dishes for serving a group. The beds were very comfortable - everyone kept saying how well they slept including myself. With various outdoor spaces it was perfect for quality time with others or sneaking out for a sun-rise cup of coffee by yourself. The host was also very responsive and was able to accommodate a slightly earlier check in. We would definitely come back again and again!

Danielle, thank you so much for the great review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the cabin! Please visit again if you get the chance!
Even with bad weather and two little ones it was an awesome family time with all game options on the lower level and using the whirlpool! Highly recommend this cabin!
We used the cabin as a hub for three couples running the Asheville Spartan Race. We had a blast hanging out, playing games, and relaxing in the hot tub. Really loved the location.
This was a magical place that my friends and I definitely adored. The views were amazing, the house is beautiful, and Melissa was in great communication with us when we had a question or concern. Thank y'all so much for your hospitality and sharing your lovely cabin with us!

Thank you so much Hannah for your kind words:) We are so happy to hear you loved the cabin! Please visit us again if you get the chance.
Really enjoyed staying at this property. Lake Lure is a beautiful area and was a great place to visit. We visited the lake, Chimney Rock, the village in Chimney rock, Cedar Creek stables, played soccer golf and went white water rafting. There was a lot of driving to get to all these places but well worth it.

Thanks so much! Sleep is the best there, I agree:) So glad you enjoyed it--please visit us again if ever back in the area!
The house wasn't like the photos--it was even better!! We had a bachelorette trip here, and oh my goodness we were all stunned speechless at the beauty of the cabin and the mountain views. Plenty of space, plenty of beds, and several activities/games/etc were provided! We just left a few days ago, and are already talking about making this an annual trip with all of our partners!
This was a much needed break from life. The views were out of the world, the owners were so kind. We will be back

Thank you so much Allyson! We appreciate you being so easy to communicate with:) We are happy to hear you had a great trip and were able to escape a little!
It was a beautiful property. I will definitely go back. The only issue was that the towels were put up damp, so they smelled bad and I had to rewash them.

Hi Joanne, glad you enjoyed your stay! I’m so sorry about the towels. I have brought this to the cleaners attention. Please visit us again!
This property was great. The pictures showing the site of their location were actually true pictures. No using special lens to make it look bigger. The property owners responded to a couple questions really fast. The game room downstairs was very fun for all ages. The directions for local sites were very helpful. The view on the front porch was simply amazing. Just a great vacation for all.

Thank you John! We are happy to hear that your family enjoyed the cabin as much as we do ❤️
During such a strange time in our world, what a blessing for our family to be able to relax and enjoy the beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Our girls loved the hot tub and we played many games of ping pong & foosball in the game room! We also enjoyed making s’mores over the fire pit. The beds were comfy, kitchen well-stocked and the house just felt so warm & cozy. The owners were also very responsive with any questions we had. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

We really enjoyed our stay, we had a group of friends for a reunion of sorts. There was plenty of room for all 4 couples to feel like they had adequate space and privacy, while still enjoying the living spaces to play games and enjoy meals together. Everyone really loved the pool/ping pong table and the hot tub was my favorite space, even though the rain made most outdoor activities difficult and the beautiful porches couldn’t be at full potential either due to the cold, but we still enjoyed everything in hspite of the poor weather! The hosts were great and responsive through booking and the stay with any questions we had. Directions for check out, use of the fireplace, tv, etc were all clear and easy.
Had a blast. But no water pressure, only 1 person could shower at a time (& there were 6 of us there). Only 1 jet working in hot tub & it was low on water & leaking, wish the grass (weeds) had been mowed prior to our arrival & the a/c worked great but the lower level of house was like a morgue even after putting thermostat on 75. Dryer door also required some special handling to get closed in order to get dryer to work. Mountain view was breathtaking, plenty of games to keep us entertained & loved to privacy. Would definitely come back, overall had a wonderful time!

Hi Kelly, thank you for the 5 star review. I am bummed to hear you had some issues that we were not aware of until now after check-out. We would have happily tried to address any concerns. We do hope you can come back and give us another chance to make your next stay even better!
This is the perfect place for small family group! Plenty of room to enjoy one another but, still have your own space. Beds were comfortable, home was clean with all the amenities you need to just stay put for a fews days! Internet is not great in this area of the mountains.. so bring your old car plug in GPS!! On the up side great place to take your teenage to get unplugged! We truly enjoyed this home. There is a lot of going up and down stairs. I would not recommend for someone with bad knees or trouble with stairs. Other then that this place is perfect! Thanks to the owner for sharing their home!!
Beautiful place to stay! If you want a getaway from it all this is the place! Perfectly nestled within the mountains and the views are absolutely amazing! There are plenty outdoor things to do in the surrounding area though you will have to drive some to get there but we enjoyed the scenic routes! The hosts were amazing! very attentive and accommodating to the minor issues throughout our stay. The home was very clean and you can tell the cleaners and the owner take a lot of pride in it! We had teenagers that actually acted like teens and had a blast with the games & pool/ping pong table . We all enjoyed the hot tub! The only thing I’d like to point out as a mom of toddlers that it is not exactly ideal for kids under 3. There are 2 staircases inside and two outside and with there not being much yard without drop offs I recommended already to have a few more gates handy when having guests with small children for safety. There was one gate available and we bought another one and put up alittle splash pool on the deck and they had a blast and got wonderfully pictures with the mountains in the background. Otherwise this home was beautiful and exactly what we expected as a mountain getaway and couldn’t be happier with the quality family time we had and the relaxation was much needed! Definitely would come back and recommend to others! :)

Never again
Myself and 9 other ladies went on this trip for a weekend getaway. The process of reserving was easy and we were excited to go. When we got there we quickly realized just how far from the shopping town of Lake Lure actually is. It's over 30 minutes to get to the shopping area close to the Dirty Dancing Festival. The twin bed upstairs was missing screws and fell as soon as a bag was placed on it so the pull out bed underneath had to be used. The table downstairs in the basement is bowed and not usable. Also the basement stayed very cold even with the small heater on. The basement toilet and one of the upstairs toilet kept clogging up. We wound up using one bathroom the rest of the time. The refrigerator was set where it took a whole night to just get cold. Overall we made it a good trip. Checkout is at 11 am however we got up at 7 and started packing. I pulled out the checklist and went down each one. I made sure the hot tub was put at 98 and off, the trash was gathered, the dishwasher was running, refrigerator cleaned out etc,. I received an email where the owner took my deposit because a tampon was left on a sheet and the the sheets were not taken off of the beds. Let me just tell you that fired me up. I personally inspected each bed and went up and down three levels of stairs to take all the sheets to the laundry room as well as towels and rags. I even did a final walk through the house twice!!! I wasn't even planning on leaving a review of this place because I was gonna put it all behind but the fact of how the deposit was kept was ridiculous! I would never rent this property again. The owner should personally inspect a property and not only that but occasionally check in after the cleaners. Just look under a bed and see the amount of dust buildup and behind the refrigerator where trash has been thrown. The cleaners barely clean. Don't water your time. They will just find a way to keep your deposit.

Hi Shasta, thank you for taking the time to vent on this public review as no other items mentioned here were brought to our attention other than the bed. We apologized for that and will have our handyman repair it as soon as possible. I do find it hard to believe that one bag made the bed completely fall down? Also, to be very clear, we withheld $83 of your deposit because you left a DIRTY TAMPON ON THE BED PILLOW!!!! It bled through the sheets and pillow resulting in us throwing it all away. We went on amazon and have replaced those items as emailed to you. This was in the master bedroom on the main floor--how did you not notice it during your many final walkthroughs? We have a picture if you need to see it. The cleaner charged us an additional $25 that we passed on to you for having to strip all beds and deal with the overall disgust of a dirty tampon left in plain view on the bed pillow. Thank you for being so diligent to look under the refrigerator--I will be sure to pass that along:) Our cabin is not advertised as a "downtown" location. It is advertised as a remote cabin in the woods. We are sorry that you felt distanced from festivals and shopping--perhaps a cabin/mountain vacation wasn't the best choice for your group. We are glad to hear that you won't be returning and hopefully you can be more respectful to your next hosts.
The Cabin was satisfactory. It’s was cozy and comfortable but it wasn’t very clean, especially the floors. It also had a few spider webs. Far away from everything.

Hi Leidys, thank you for the 5 star review; I was hoping your comments would match. I am so sorry to just hear that the cabin wasn't as clean as you would have hoped, we would have sent them back if we would have known before now. I will certainly address this regardless. It definitely is a cabin in the woods, as advertised, so we can't change the proximity. Appreciate you renting from us and hope to have you back again in the future if you visit the area again!
