You spoke and we listened! Carpet has been replaced with new flooring, new cabinets and countertops in the kitchen and new furniture and furnishings throughout!

The unit is generously proportioned and features nine-foot ceilings, quality interior detailing, and wall to wall sliding glass doors. You will enjoy spectacular ocean views from the living room, dining room, kitchen, and master suite. The condominium is well appointed with a living and dining area, over-sized oceanfront furnished balcony, fully equipped kitchen which opens into the living area, and three generously sized bedrooms. The dining room table seats 6 with additional bar seating at the kitchen counter.

Located oceanfront on St. Simons Island, the St. Simons Grand condominiums are spectacular in every way. Enter through the private gates into a luxurious oceanfront community offering a direct ocean view from every residence. In the community’s center courtyard are lagoons, lush landscaping, gas grills and a seasonally heated oceanfront swimming pool. Beyond the swimming pool, a sidewalk guides guests to a private boardwalk to the beach giving you easy access to put your toes in the sand! Other St. Simons Grand amenities include gated access from Ocean Boulevard, covered parking, elevator, wireless internet service and nighttime property patrol.

St. Simons Grand is located on Ocean Boulevard near the Coast Guard Station Public Beach Access and the well-loved East Beach neighborhood of St. Simons. Easy walking distance to local favorite restaurants – Crabdaddy’s, Crab Trap and Beachcomber BBQ.

The property was even better than I expected! Really large space - perfect for 6 adults and then some! Kitchen had all kinds of supplies and seems recently renovated. Such an easy and clear check-in and out process with the management company. Perfect location on the island - could easily walk to dinner or the village. We all can't wait to stay here again!!

Paradise at The Grand

Yes, the sliding doors were hard to open and the keys were hard to work in the door and a lamp wasn't working, BUT, you can't beat the Grand. The swimming pool was right there, easy access to the beach, beautiful views on the balcony. Could easily bike or walk to dinner or a few shops and fishing. We loved St Simons and the Grand.

Birthday Getaway

The property was as advertised. I was there with my two sisters to celebrate a birthday so it was nice to have three bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The pool was nice as was the beach access. My one complaint, which is not just for this unit, is that no beach chairs or umbrellas are provided at this location. While I rented a tent and chairs, there was wind and rain every morning except for one and the tent folks only set up (if at all) in the morning. This made hanging out on the beach difficult. If you live within driving distance, which it appeared may did, bring a cart and chairs. The unit itself, especially the kitchen, has been renovated and it had everything you could need to prepare meals if you were inclined to do so. New appliances in the kitchen, new washer and dryer and new hardword floors through out. Beds were comfortable too.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Real Escapes was great to work with. This unit is in a wonderful location and the community amenities were outstanding. The unit has a great view and has a really good layout and the balcony is large with an awesome view. The condo in general is not well maintained. It was clean but most fixtures looked awful from tarnish and age. The Master bedroom TV has a huge blot in the middle of the screen. The blinds in the living area and master were broken in multiple places. Cabinets were coming apart in the master bath and the counter top is cracked in the kitchen. The unit is furnished well but it seems the owner must only use this as an investment property and puts little to no care in the upkeep overall.

Girls Weekend

Five of us wanted a quick getaway from work and life of being mom, wife, etc. This property is super cute and very clean. Has been updated and the kitchen is the bomb. The fridge HUGE - has the knock to see what’s inside. Condo even had a coffee pot, electric tea kettle, blender, etc. The beds were comfy, and we loved that each room had its own bathroom. Balcony is perfect and the view is great (you’ll want to be ON the beach for sunrise, though). Living room was furnished well enough for us to all sit and chat.Things I would have wanted to know about the stay before arriving:When you pull into the parking take the first entry and go all the way to the left. The unit is on the East side of the building, so take that elevator. There are plastic plates, bowls, cups with the great flatware and place settings ( we even had what was need for poolside charcuterie). Even mixing bowls! There are no plastic wraps, foil, seasonings, etc. bring everything you will need that’s not a utensil or kitchenware. Bring extra TP if staying a little while. The gate to the beach is the same code as the entry gate - and the “escape button” to get out to the beach is on hidden alongside the left rail under the cap rail. There are no beach chairs in the condo, but you can rent a pair and beach umbrella on the beach. You can ABSOLUTELY walk to dinner, the lighthouse, activities, etc. you’re basically next door to King and Prince!

Upon checking in, we went to each suite to see who would sleep where, kitchen was dirty , fridge had food left in it, freezer was dirty with hair in it, stove wasn’t clean. All three bathroom are old and dirty, shower was backing up with water, they did send a plumber the next day to remove a ball of hair, nasty seat cover for the toilet. Every time the A/C came on you can smell the odor of a old building. Towels were dingy and stained and the bathrooms only had towels for two day, we paid over 3900.00 seven days to be subjected to this is deceptive. The entire place needs a good cleaning inside and out. Rugs in the hallways looked and smelled horrible. Patio furniture old and dirty and rusty. Inch of dusty under the furniture. In the money we paid two hundred was for house keeping, we complained and was told Andrea was the supervisor over housekeepers, she came and wiped the stove off. We didn’t feel heard or they even cared. The patio doors didn’t lock. Back is hurting from very cheap mattress. HVAC closet extremely dirty/ dusty.We went on vacation to relax instead we left feeling very disappointed…

We would like to take a moment and review some key issues that we feel are relevant to your recent stay. Prior to your arrival you commented that the unit needed to be “dust free” due to bad allergies. Housekeeping allocated extra time to perform additional cleaning per that request. An inspector also did a walk-through of the unit before it was released for your arrival. You arrived at 4pm on Sept. 14th where everyone engaged in the face to face check in process here at the office. During this process, you were provided multiple ways to contact someone directly from our office 24 hours a day, if needed. Instead of calling us immediately after your arrival, our first communication from you was an email sent through the VRBO website the following day. Once notified, we took immediate action. A Real Escapes team member reached out to you via phone in which you asked for reimbursement for the towels you purchased. We arranged for our Head of Housekeeping to personally go to the unit and walk through the property with you. She addressed your concerns and informed you that our maintenance vendor would be by to assist with the slow draining tub. She asked if there was anything else she could do to make the condo cleaner for you. Yourself, nor anyone else in your party, spoke up about anything that you felt needed to be addressed. While in the unit she noticed some inconsistencies with your accusations. For example, there were ample towels throughout the unit. Some of which were being used as bathroom rugs while the “actual” bathroom rug was folded neatly on the side of the tub. She fully documented the state of the unit while you were occupying it and obtained photographs to verify the majority of your complaints were disingenuous. Two of the items you mentioned - the aged toilet seat and rusty air vent were remedied the same day. We requested a copy of the receipt for the $77 you stated you spent on towels, only to find other charges for various items such as candy, men’s swimwear, and other personal items. It is not a hotel that provides towel service. There is a full sized washer and dryer for guests to use during their stay. Real Escapes Properties addressed the legitimate issues the same day of being notified. We (Real Escapes Properties, our housekeepers, and maintenance teams) went beyond normal cleaning protocol in providing clean accommodations and timely maintenance on any issues that arose during your stay.

The view from this condo is spectacular!

The pictures are accurate! The balcony and view are great!!! The location is very close to eateries and convenient stores. We even walked to Fidlers restaurant in 5 minutes. The property managers were very accommodating and helped us retrieve our bag after checkout. My only complaints were that there was sand in the master bed, and our detailed clean up process at the end of our stay. Too much to do at the end of a vacation when we were charged a cleaning fee to begin with. Overall it is an excellent condo, but dated.

Not sure what happened to the beach - it’s a problem getting to the water with the “mote” as we called it running between boardwalk & coastline. It did not used to be that way so not sure what happened. Huge negative for a return trip. Select beachfront property for ease and it was not easy. Realize that is not on management company but passing it along as to reason why it was less than stellar.
