OneWaveSurf_House is a new 5 bedroom & 6 Bathroom villa with an expansive yoga deck overlooking Playa Sunzal surf break. The tourist town El Tunco just a 1.2km walk form in the other direction.

At OneWaveSurf_House there are two Master Bedrooms, a Dormitory and two casitas. Each bedroom has bathroom ensuite. Every Bedroom has A/C, fan, hot/cold water plus super comfy beds!

Further amenities include, gated community security, Full Kitchen w/filtered water, Yoga deck with Panoramic views, Sparkling Private Pool & lounge area, onsite parking, huge dining table and lots of chill space!

The perfect birthday week

My family of 9 stayed here for a week to celebrate our many May birthdays and were extremely happy with our time here. The house is beautiful and located in a very safe location that’s only a short walk to town. I would highly recommend staying here and would love to come back and visit El Tunco. The town is very fun and there are plenty of tiendas and restaurants only a 5-10 minute walk away. The house was very nice with working A/C and a great outdoor area. Just be sure to bring/buy your own soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. as there is none provided. Most importantly— we hired a chef through the host for a few meals and he was fantastic. Javier not only made some delicious meals, but he also has a great personality and was a lovely addition to our dinner experience (even surprising us a with a birthday cake). We could not recommend him more. Renting a car or hiring a driver for excursions is also an easy process that was super helpful throughout our time here. Eduardo drove us to and from the airport, as well as San Salvador and the Ruta de las Flores for a great price and even better company.

Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. There is an ocean view in the distance but the house is not a 3 min walk....maybe once you're at the main gate and if you cut across Cafe Sunzal if it's open. The ROOMS have AC but not the main living area or the bathrooms. Even with the fans, it was uncomfortable. We live in a tropical area but didn't expect this level. Didn't see a hot tub on site but it was so hot and humid we probably wouldn't have used it. The pool was a decent size, water was also very warm. I was prepared for bugs but not bats in the evening. The netting on the upper level needed repair. The stove was propane or gas, it was not electric. We were able to schedule an in-home massage. Those were top-notch. They also have a vehicle available for rent. We had a few issues but the property manager addressed them immediately. They are responsive, and the gated community was a plus. I know vacations aren't meant to be spent in front of a TV but sometimes you want to kick up your feet after a long day. Dont expect any TVs on site. Not sure how recent the reviews posted are but the house or furniture did not look new as mentioned. Overall, if you like to sweat or sit in a sauna, this is the place for you.

We’re glad to hear you found the rooms clean, the beds comfortable, enjoyed the in-home massages, appreciated our responsiveness, and felt the safe gated community added to your stay. We’d like to clarify a few points for future guests. The home is approximately a 6 minute walk to the nearest beach entrance. The stove is a gas range as is the outdoor bbq. AC units provide comfortable sleep in all bedrooms, while the common living spaces are designed as open-air areas with multiple ceiling and standing fans. This is a common architectural style in coastal El Salvador and is accurately represented at OneWaveSurf House. Regarding the furniture, the home is professionally maintained and regularly updated, though normal wear is expected in a well-loved beachfront property. As for heat & local wildlife, August is in the middle of rainy season in El Salvador, which certainly can make the tropical conditions more noticeable. Bats & insects are part of nature here as well as parrots, glow bugs, iguanas, butterflies & more in the tropical biosphere. It’s always funny when guests say they are not “A/C and TV people,” only to discover they actually are. OWSH is intentionally designed for travelers who want an authentic tropical experience by day and retreat to super comfortable bedrooms to sleep at night. We’re pleased we were able to address your concerns promptly during your stay, and we appreciate your feedback as we continue working to provide a great experience all guests.

Beautiful Villa for a Group

We spent 5 days at OneWave and couldn't have been more impressed by every aspect of the house. The pictures were accurate, the common areas were spacious, and the pool was perfect. Tyler was an exceptional host, highly communicative and eager to use his expertise to give us the best experience possible. We arranged a private chef, airport transfers, rental car, surf lessons, yoga lessons, and massages through him and his various contacts. He was also happy to show us around El Tunco, both on and off the tourist track. Special shoutout to Javier as well, the private chef. We'd never splurged for one before and it was worth every penny and then some. The food was some of the best we've ever had and Javier was such a delight to meet and work with. Cece the housekeeper was great as well and kept everything immaculate around the house. Location was ideal, it was probably all walkable but we opted to use the rental car when possible. Highly recommend!

A Little Piece of Heaven

Tyler is definitely a super host, the booking and check in process was relatively quick. Tyler is super attentive and always a short text away for anything you may need. The property is located in a private gated community with a guard on duty 24/7. The pool is a bit small but great enough to cool off and hang out with friends and family. The home is super spacious and morning coffee on the open floor upstairs is the best. We’ll definitely be back 👍🏼

Beach Vaction with Friends and Family

We just spent the week up at One Wave Surf! We were two families with 4 adults and 5 kids. The week was perfect. The house was exceptional. Enough space to spread out, getaway from each other when needed, but also multiple spots for entertaining and relaxing. The pool was exactly what we wanted. The grounds were perfecty manicured and maintained while we were there. We hired Chef Gorge to cook 3 meals a day for us. Worth every penny to not worry about cooking and cleanning up. Tyler (the owner) was responsive when we needed him but maintained distance and privacy. Lots to do in this area of El Sal! This spot was perfect. This was the exact vaction to enjoy friends/family, get some sun, drink and eat. We'll be back!

Incredible view and very relaxing

The house is beautiful and well laid out. Great breezes in the hammock and the big table accommodated our large party. Wifi is excellent. Not able to walk to the beach as easily as we thought, but we rented a car and explored the country and had a safe, confortable house to come home to. Housekeeper, caretaker and manager were all fantastic and super helpful.

The house is beautiful. In a convenient location and it is equipped with everything you would need. Tyler is an amazing host. Very easy to communicate with and always available to help. We're already planning our next trip out there.
