About this property

Comfortable and Spacious Family Vacation Home

This quiet cul-de-sac home is located on a large private lot just a short stroll away from the newly renovated Glaze Meadow Pool facility. The Glaze Meadow Golf Course is also located near by. With over 2200 sq. ft. of room, it is an ideal place for families to get away from the hustle and bustle of the real world. On the second floor you will find two large bedrooms with queen size beds and vanity baths along with one full bathroom. The upstairs open loft area has a big screen TV, DVD and VCR to cozy up with at night. Downstairs you will find one bedroom containing bunk beds and the other with a queen size bed (sorry, no picture yet as it was recently replaced) and the second full bath. In addition, the main floor contains a spacious kitchen, living area, wood burning stove, a large Bluetooth speaker and a hot tub on the deck. With Mt. Bachelor in close proximity and Hoodoo Ski Area just a short distance up the road, our home is superb for those winter ski trips or summer time fun.


The Ranch:: Black Butte Ranch is a unique resort. It is owned and managed by the BBR Association, (those people that have purchased home sites) and offers a wide array of indoor and outdoor activities.

fun weekend trip, nice functional cabin

only hiccup was a driveway full of snow but with a phone call it was plowed courtesy of the owner after a few hours had a nice time

Great Family Time

The house is very cozy. It's older with character and plenty of room for a family with older or younger kids. The only thing I would wish for is a master bed and bath. Lots of things to do and enjoy!

Nice location to Glaze Meadow

Owner has excellent communication. Answers calls, accomodating and just easy to talk to. House is well equipped and just a short bike ride to the Glaze Meadow pool. Nice deck with new hot tub. Perfect retreat for a multi-generational vacation.

First time to Black Butte

We took a quick trip to Black Butte after Deschutes County opened up. Bryan the owner was fantastic as I called him often. We were the first family back into the house after the long shut down so a few things were amiss but nothing that stopped us from a great time. Bryan was always friendly and very patient and helpful. House was extremely well stocked, great place if you have small kids as they have a pile of toys. TV is up in the loft area which was fine for us but if your a tv/movie watching group not a lot of seating or room. I would recommend this house for families.

Great location - needs improvements

We have stayed at this home in the past and have enjoyed it so much. The location is excellent - easy walk to Glaze Meadow pool and a beautiful bike ride across the meadow to the Lodge. The hot tub is great for chilly evenings. That said, I need to be honest about a few things that made our stay just OK. The condition of the mattress in one of the upstairs masters was surprising: It was completely worn out and provided no support. This bed needs to be replaced. The other room had a new mattress and it was hard to decide who got "the short straw" - not something either couple was expecting to do on vacation and at this price! There was also an issue in the downstairs shower - black mildew covered the underside of the non-slip shower mat. It was clear that it has not been removed and cleaned by housekeeping. When we left, we placed it in an obvious location so it would be seen by the cleaning staff. We'd love to come back sometime if these issues are addressed, the owners were friendly and responsive to help us with finding the hot tub key when we arrived. It would be great if there were more outdoor lounges/chairs and a larger outdoor table on the beautiful new deck...we had to bring extra chairs out but the small table won't accommodate the whole group of 6. In summary - great location and new deck with hot tub were great - just need to address/update a few things to provide comfortable sleeping/seating.

We were here for a quick weekend and it worked out great. House is dated, but location was great. Hot tub was just what we needed after a long day of hiking. Quiet neighborhood with large back deck.

Great summer vacation home

Property was well set up for our family vacation. The home was well equipped with all of the amenities we needed to have a very successful trip. The home was very comfortable. The owner was very responsive to all of our needs and was very accessible. I would recommend this property for a family vacation.

Great vacation home!

Would have loved to have given 5 stars but the cleaning company prior to our arrival did not clean, so we ended up needing to do a pretty thorough vacuuming, dusting and cleaning. Otherwise, we loved the convenient location close to Glaze Meadow Pool, the spacious layout of the home, and the beautiful view to the huge deck and all the trees on the large property. The home is spacious and located in a quiet cul de sac on the ranch. There is plenty of parking. We really appreciated having sinks in the upstairs bedrooms. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and look forward to coming back!

great house in great location

We've really enjoyed our time in Black Butte and have stayed in this home multiple times. The house works really works really well for 2 families and is in a fantastic location. we end up spending most of our time on the huge deck which is a lovely outdoor living space.

space And room for everyone

Fast and kind communication was great and appreciated! Especially when I missed the fact the property had no AC and had some grumpy grannies on my hands. Bryan contacted me right away and helped me get things cooled off quickly. The house is spacious and has lots to offer for larger groups as there was more than enough beds to spare.

Well stocked, family friendly, pretty surroundings

We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the well stocked kitchen and games, and the beautiful, snow covered surroundings, and short walk to pool. The house layout with adults on one floor and kids on other floor was great for our group with teens. One surprise was to find a queen bed in one of the kids rooms, when the website had indicated two twins in that room. We also appreciated the quick responses of the host.
