Bathed in light, the living space with its 3m ceiling offers beautiful volumes conducive to relaxation and sharing.
All the comfort to rest: fitted kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge / freezer, kettle, traditional coffee maker + Senséo coffee maker, toaster.
Sleeps: A double bed room with shower room, WC. A second bedroom with a double bed upstairs. Convertible sofa 2 places in the living room and / or additional mattress upstairs.

A second separate WC from the bathroom and a dressing room are now also available (8 m² more).

La Rochelle

Very enjoyable stay. Loads of space and very nice garden. Not ideal to have downstairs toilet for upstairs bedroom.

Thank you for this feedback. I do indeed do everything to make the setting pleasant and welcoming for my travelers. Glad you liked it. On the other hand, considering the bedroom upstairs in the attic (see interior and exterior photos on the site) recognize that it was difficult for me to put a toilet there other than at the ridge... It would have been functional but I'm not sure you would have appreciated it... :-) ;-). Best regards. I wish you all the best for the future.

A break between rugby matches

We were here for a few days between matches in 2023 rugby world cup. I've been to La Rochelle before and loved my time here so it was the obvious place. Flaurents property was lovely. Spacious, clean, well equipped and what a brilliant host he was.

We had a lovely time in Florent’s house. Suited the four of us well for day trips, exploring La Rochelle and lazy times. There is no reason not to return.

We had a truly magical time in La Rochelle. There was so much for our teens (19, 15, 13) to do in a very safe feeling environment. The house was perfectly situated for the town centre (10 min walk) and near plenty of shops. The spacious house was roomy enough for the five of us to not ever feel on top of each other (the ensuite next to the adult's bedroom was a godsend!). The house is charmingly decorated and well equiped to make catering at home a breeze. The plancha grill was a terrific facitily to enjoy meals in the private garden courtyard. A huge thank you to Florent for all his help and brilliant advice on local trips, interesting events and even weather changes. His insight directed us to events we would have otherwise missed, but really made the holiday. Nothing felt too much trouble and he kindly replied to any questions we had super quickly. We stayed for a week, but will absolutely be back to explore the wider region in future.

We had a great time in La Rochelle, helped by very good weather during our four-night stay. As mentioned by many reviewers, Florent is an excellent host and the information provided is very clear & well communicated (also in English). Check-in and -out were simple.Both showers were very good, with sufficient water pressure and easy temperature regulation.The bakery (50 m. away) has excellent bread and a great range of sandwiches, quiches...The daily market astounded us with the quality of its offerings. If you like them, buy some of the large fresh cooked (pink) prawns - we got six for 3.50 & wished we'd had more. We also tried some homemade lasagne and aubergine parmigiana, which were pricier but such good quality.My only small criticism of the apartment was the generally lower ceiling height in the upstairs bedroom. It would absolutely suit children, as Florent points out.It's a great place to stay and you can bring your car onto the street without paying for unloading and reloading. If you want to avoid parking charges, it takes 5-10 minutes to walk to one of the streets where you can park at no cost. And, there's a Carrefour supermarket next to those streets.We shall return.

Lovely house, beautiful location

Florent the owner was extremely helpful and pleasant before our visit, on arrival and during our 7 night stay. The property is tastefully converted, spacious and well equipped, located in a residential suburb just a few minutes from the central old town district and harbour. We loved the sunny garden for relaxing and also the daily walk down to the main market to buy wonderful fresh food. Also there is a very friendly bakery just a few doors along from the property. Parking could have been an expensive concern though. The town have brought in restrictions to non residents parking on street within the central areas including where the property is located. My understanding of French wasn’t good enough to work out a way of not being required to move my car every 4hrs in the daytime and pay 8€ each time. Maybe there is a solution! I emailed the tourist information for assistance and they just sent me a brochure of the town’s attractions. We were lucky to find space in a street nearby that seemed to have got missed out of the parking controls but were then slightly reluctant to take the car out to see some of the other sites in the surrounding area. However I understand that it has been necessary to limit traffic in the narrow streets of the town so that everyone can see and appreciate all the history and atmosphere that La Rochelle has to offer. You need to keep alert for speeding cyclists and scooter riders though!

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour d’une semaine.L’emplacement est idéal, au calme et proche du centre et malgré le stationnement payant, nous avons réussi à nous garer facilement et gratuitement dans les environs.Maison très bien équipée et instructions claires et détaillés. Le rez-de-chaussée de la maison est tout à fait adapté aux enfants en bas âge, mais pas la chambre de l’étage (risque de chute). Le jardin mériterait un petit rafraîchissement. Comme partout maintenant, attention aux moustiques.

Perfekte zwei Wochen

Es war ein toller Aufenthalt in einer wunderschönen Unterkunft.Die Kommunikation mit Florent war sehr nett, er hat uns viele hilfreiche Tipps gegeben und war immer erreichbar.Der Garten mit den Liegen und Schirmen war bei 36 Grad wunderbar und trotz der Hitze war es nachts durch die Fensterläden angenehm kühl im Haus.Nebenan gibt es eine sehr, sehr gute Bäckerei und zur Markthalle sind es weniger als 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!
