Great hosts, very attentive and well organized. The only complaint I can register is the 2 twin beds instead of a queen/king bed.

Very nice clean simple place. I do feel the need to caution everyone that privacy is limited, due to no curtains and having to cross through back yard of residence that has full windows into the yard. Hosts were accommodating to personally show us how everything in the house worked.

Comfortable, clean and quiet! Short 14 min drive to UCB campus and short drive to amenities of La Fayette. Joe and Georgia are super nice and responsive. They are onsite to assure everything is in order. Five stars across the board. Highest recommendation.

It’s been 6 years since I visited this gem, this time I did not travel alone, and my companion could not believe how accurate my description was of our accommodations. As always I was greeted with a familiar/ family welcome.

Peaceful and convenient

The guesthouse is located in a quiet lush neighborhood with easy access to Berkeley and the bay area. The kitchen is well-equipped, the twin beds are comfortable, and there is privacy even though the large windows look out into the backyard. Joe and Georgia were great and accomodating hosts and communicated well.

Lovely tranquil retreat from the crazy world

Beautiful little house in a picturesque garden setting. Absolutely perfect location for us. I would highly recommend this place. Hosts were charming and helpful. Well equipped house although we were here for a weekend celebration in nearby Danville, so had minimal time for cooking. But nearby Diablo Foods was perfect for shopping

Spacious well equipped guest house

This is a great little guest house perfect for two people. The house has everything you need, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom was great for us. The garden is really quiet and peaceful, well shaded so it had lots of cool places if you wanted them. Finally the owners are a delightful couple, friendly and helpful, they really make you feel at home. This rental is highly recommended.

The property was beautiful and serene, with a stream running right behind the house. The unit was well stocked and so very convenient to the Orinda, Moraga, and Lafayette areas. We look forward to a return visit.

A serene temporary home

Again we enjoyed the peace and privacy of staying in Joe and Georgia's little cottage in the garden. It gave us a feeling of home away from home as we spent some days visiting with family and reconnecting with dear places in the Contra Costa and greater Bay Area. Generous and gracious hosts. Simple and sufficient accommodations provided just the calm we needed between. Thank you for having us back.

Relaxing private Cottage

We found the cottage and property perfect for our 3 week stay visiting family over the Christmas holiday. As a retired couple, we appreciated the comfortable beds and quiet, peaceful and woodsy surroundings . Hosts, Joe and Georgia, were so generous including providing our favorite coffee! Enjoyed walks in the lovely neighborhood, exploring Lafayette Reservoir and dining at the many wonderful choices of restaurants in town. Orinda Movie Theatre nearby was a real treat. Location was great for taking BART into San Francisco. We definitely look forward to returning for future visits.

Great stay and will be coming back!

Joe and Georgia were fantastic hosts. I was moving my son from Seattle to St. Mary’s. They let us store a couple of boxes and it was a tremendous help, as we arrived a couple of days and needed storage so that we weren’t driving around a car full of valuables. The unit was clean and the hosts were very communicative. As my son is now down here for school, I would not hesitate to book again.

Perfect cottage, perfect hosts!

I very much enjoyed my stay at Joe & Georgia’s comfy cozy cottage. Joe & Georgia were gracious, friendly, helpful hosts. Communication was always clear and positive. They’re very good people. Their cottage is a delightful little getaway: peaceful, well-built, well-appointed, modern-yet-homey, super-clean, full of cheery sunlight. The location is quiet and secluded, utterly relaxing, yet offers convenient access to highways and to BART. I felt as comfortable here as in my own home. I’m SO glad I chose to stay here rather than at some hotel. Thank you, Joe & Georgia!

very comfortable cottage

Very clean and nice garden setting. Hosts are very accommodating. While it is a few hundred feet from the freeway, so there is some background noise, it is minor and I slept better than at home in the country. I would strongly recommend.
