Sun Room
You will certainly sleep well. It is peaceful and the beds are comfortable (guests have even said so themselves). For all allergy sufferers: All bedlinen used is non-feather. Worried about the road outside? Don't be. It's a village loop road and doesn't 'go' anywhere, so it's only used for access. When our car alarm went off one night (due to an open sunroof & yes it did rain!), we didn't even hear that. Although we did have to apologise to the neighbours - they don't build houses now, like they used to!!! Accommodating 5 people is an easy number, with 2 double rooms and one single bedroom. But due to the flexibility of the bed arrangements we can accommodate up to 8 people (PLEASE NOTE. Rental rates are for a maximum of 5 people. There is an additional charge for each extra person over that number.

Notes
- Kids will love the space indoors and outdoors that this cottage has to offer. With lots to occupy them with games, indoor playhouse & pretend cooking to a climbing frame with a slide and swing set in the large garden. [The garden does have a pond at the far end, which is screened off (we have youngsters, so we know the concerns!)]. If they need some down time, then there is a dvd player; some kids dvds available to watch; free view with cbeebies; WiFi is also available. If you have a little one, then there are some bath toys, a high chair and a travel cot to use. When the garden is in season, there are different fruits (apples, pear, rhubarb, gooseberries, black/red currants, plums, raspberries) & fresh herbs. Everyone loves a fresh bit of veg or fruit on their plates, picked by their own hand, so do help yourself. Unfortunately, we can't have pets of any kind, due to the owner being highly allergic.

Map
Great Rissington is in the heart of the cotswolds located neatly between the three jewels of the Cotswolds, namely Stow on the Wold, Bourton on Water and Burford. There is so much to do and see. There's The Slaughters, Bourton on Water (Maze, Birdland, Model Village, Car Museum), Barringtons (Annual Gifford Circus), Batsford Arboretum, Cotswold Farm Park, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Bibury (Trout Farm). Or easy day trips to Oxford, Bristol, Bath, Stratford, Cheltenham (races), Warwick Castle, not forgetting the huge amount of Roman history in the area. Or perhaps old houses are your interest. There's Blenheim Palace, Sudley Castle to name just a couple. And if you don't want to sightsee, the countryside lends itself to lots of wonderful walking - it's a great way to see and appreciate the Cotswold landscape and you can walk right from the front door of the cottage - no need to get in the car!
