Pebble Beach Quiet Getaway

If you are looking for a place to veg out on weekends or during the week, this is the place to visit. Our three bedroom, three bath home is on a quarter acre in the Del Monte Forest. We are located in the "Sunbelt" area of Pebble Beach where it is warm and cozy.

You can find our place as soon as you enter the Highway 1 gate right off of 17-Mile drive.

When you arrive open the blinds, lay on the three-section sofa and float away. It is a place to relax, unwind and forget the world outside.

Relax and enjoy your stay. Be refreshed when you leave.

We definitely would recommend this lovely home, located minutes from Pebble Beach golf course, 17 mile drive, and many excellent restaurants. Jonathan & Varetta are wonder hosts. This home has everything you need & more. It was perfect for the 5 of us and we look forward to another trip in the near future.

Great stay

The house and location could not have been better for us. The only issue we had was that the curtains were not heavy and the light bothered my wife some. The house was very clean and comfortable.

Wonderful dray in Pebble Beach

The home is lovely, very clean and comfortable. The primary en suite is gorgeous with lots of natural light. Nice off-street parking and terrific communication with the owner. The home is located near the 17 mile scenic drive and a shoet drive to Monterey, Carmel by the Sea and Pacific Grove.

Perfect Retreat

With much gratitude to the hosts. This property is amazing with tons of space to spread out. We were a group of 5 - my 82- year-old mother-in-law, two young adults, my husband and myself. Check in was super easy and everything was as expected per the detailed communications from the hosts. All appliances, etc. were in good working order. There is plenty of parking in the carport/driveway. Our three-night stay was very relaxing, and we would definitely stay here again.

Great Location for a weekend in Carmel

We were in town for a family wedding in Carmel. Jonathan’s property was perfect for our family. The house is a gem in a nice Pebble Beach neighborhood. Very easy access to downtown Carmel, Monterey, and Pacific Grove. We will be looking to rent again on our next trip to Carmel.

Exceptional Location

It was a surprise to find a Pebble Beach location, perfect for our week on the Peninsula. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, The cottage was easily accessible just off 17-mile drive, and of course, coming from Phoenix, the weather was wonderful. As a former Peninsula resident it was great to revisit memories throughout the area from a central location. Plus the neighborhood was perfect for morning walks. The cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything needed for our stay.

The *perfect* Monterey/Carmel Getaway

The listing does not do the house justice, it is even better in person! Very clean, ample space for all of us, and the location is unbeatable. Our host was so pleasant, I only wish I could say more kind things! We will be staying here again for the next marathon.

Great location

Close to everything you could possibly want from Big Sur to Santa cruz. Very comfortable house and very good communication with the owner. Only a small issue with the 3rd bathroom having only car port access. But it all worked out great.

Wonderful Family Getaway

We had a lovely time bringing our teen and young adult children for a holiday adventure. Jonathon's home was conveniently located between Monterey and Carmel, making it easy to enjoy both locations. Everything was spotless and cozy. Jonathon was always quick to respond and answer any questions that I had. The layout of bedrooms provided ample space for our party as did the living room for lots of family games. The back patio provided privacy to soak up the morning rays in peace and quiet. Thank you for sharing your lovely and cozy home. It was delightful.

Comfortable and Cozy

The property was clean, cozy and quiet. The primary bedroom is huge, has a firm bed and looks out at the backyard seating area. Not sure why there are comments about the shower being complicated, it’s literally just turn it to the right and wait until the hot water comes out. The shower door is a bit awkward, but not a big deal at all. The owner is extremely accommodating and very communicative. We’ve rented 3 other properties within 17 Mile and this was the first we’ve received a gate emblem to use the residence lane, which was very convenient. It’s a bit rustic, but quite comfortable and well appointed.

Relaxing Weekend Reunion

We are very happy with our stay at this lovely home. The hosts were very responsive and gave clear instructions. The house was perfect for the six of us former college roommates for our milestone birthday reunion weekend. Two of us shared the master bedroom, two of us were in bedroom with the twin beds, one person for the full size bed, and one person on a high quality queen air mattress. As described, the third bathroom with the washer/dryer is accessible through the carport, so we didn't use that bathroom very much/at all. However, for the six of us who were once roommates, sharing two bathrooms inside the house was not an issue. Located in Pebble Beach, it was an easy drive to nearby sites and restaurants both in Carmel and Monterey.

Comfortable and clean but lacking in a couple areas

The house was clean, the beds and couch were comfortable. The kitchen was small but functional. The owner communicated well with us. However there were a few challenges 1) we arrived after dark and the lockbox was really hard to see the numbers on. Took us 15 min to get the box open and get the keys and we were very tired. 2) The listing advertises a grill and there is not one - owner said there were insurance issues which is why he didn't have a gas grill which was confusing. No steaks for us this trip. 3) The furniture outside seemed kind of old and not very clean. sitting outside was something we would have liked to do but didn't. 4) The dishwasher seemed to have no power and was un-functional. 5) The showers are low flow and just suck if you've played golf all day and need a hot shower. 6) The next door neighbors have an old rusty truck parked in front of the house which is very unsightly. The property has potential. We would stay there again if these things were addressed.
