About Dawn Worobel
We love the gorgeous mountain views and the escape from the heat and our hectic lifestyles. We enjoy going to the cabin to relax or to have fun with friends and family. Our kids love the gem mining, tubing, train rides, and whitewater rafting.
Dawn Worobel purchased this House in 2002
Why Dawn Worobel chose Franklin
We chose this location because we kept coming to this area and fell in love with the natural setting, the ease of access to our property, and the proximity to lots of fun places in Western North Carolina. We also love to relax and watch the beautiful sunsets and the wildlife go by as we sit on the deck overlooking the mountains and our 4 acre property.
What makes this House unique
We have three bedrooms with lots of space for you and your family and friends to relax. We have a fully stocked kitchen with a gas grill and outside picnic table. We also have two wrap around decks, one with gates at the end to help contain pets when they want to enjoy the beautiful North Carolina weather. We also have dvds, vhs tapes, games, and many books for you to enjoy during your stay.

Really good experience. Beautiful and private. No real complaints. Really could use blinds on upper windows on front of house. Sun really tough when sitting on love seat in evenings. Also windows were pretty dirty. Farther from any restaurant or store than i expected but again privacy has a price. Would rent again. Thank you very much
The cabin was clean and comfortable for our family of five. The sunsets over the mountains viewed from the deck were beautiful. We had no problems navigating the drive up to the cabin and even saw deer and wild turkeys a few times. Cell coverage (Verizon) was non-existent but here is a local phone and the wireless internet service was fine for checking emails and finding directions when needed. Cell coverage was good close to Franklin. There were plenty of games and movies to keep the teens occupied. Overall a very quiet and serene place.
Great property. Very clean and fully loaded with everything you need at home: towels, kitchen utensils, information about the area, etc. Great two lane windy road that takes you to the property. Owners and the house were very hospitable.
Family cabin !
Clean and comfortable log cabin in private setting. Views are much more limited than photos on site. Mountains would be amazing if trees were topped. Comfortable King size bed. While everything is basic, we had what we needed. Location is 20 minutes to Franklin and 30 minutes to Bryson City. Enjoyed our stay!
5 Star Vacation
As a building contractor, I found the home amazing, beautiful wood throughout. As a vacation rental owner, we found the home immaculate, very well stocked, and lacking nothing. Even 4 spare LP bottles for the large grill.
The road up to the home is very cool, you know at the end has to be special. Greatt Mountain View’s, the bats at sunset, and fireflies, made the evenings special.
We found the proximity to Franklin, Bryson City (Great Smokey Mtn Rr), Nantahala River, Joyce Kilmer, and especially Lake Glenville (rent a ointoon boat) great, just not enough time.
Did I mention 5 star home prep ?
We will be back, a Home Run vacation !
