Welcoming to pets, well appointed kitchen. Rooftop space was fun and beautiful views of the ocean. Ideal for families. Very walkable to restaurants. Host very responsive.
Everything went smoothly with no issues! Check in was easy, awesome having a garage to park in, plenty of sleeping areas and towels. And loved that there was enough cleaning materials (paper towels, soap, laundry, garbage bags). Second time staying in this house, would go again
The house was clean & in good condition. The kitchen was well supplied for cooking & dining. I contacted the host regarding one issue and they responded quickly and addressed the matter.
Excellent location, very cozy home, lots and lots of dinner and take out options in walkable distance, well thought amenities within the house. Overall we enjoyed our stay! More importantly nice, responsive host
This house was wonderful and spacious. Very clean and well stocked. It was nice to have garage parking. You couldn’t ask for a better location. Central to great shops and restaurants.

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in
Exhaustive "rules" and rule reminders created an unrelaxed experience. Noise is apparently a large concern in this area. Check in was also a bit problematic since the door code was inaccurate in our check in email. Luckily - even at 4:30 - after the 4:00 check in time, the cleaning person was still there and able to let us in.

Thank you for your feedback! As noted in the listing description prior to booking, the home is located in a family neighborhood, and we ask that guests be respectful of the surrounding community. This is mentioned only once in the check-in message if there are no issues.
We wish you had reached out if you had any issues checking in. Door codes are updated regularly to ensure safety and might have been accidentally missed for your check-in message!
This place is in a perfect location. Places to eat, close to the beach, tons of space. The host answered within minutes to all my requests. Highly recommend it
Our family of 4 had a great stay in the heart of La Jolla. Everything was within walking distance: restaurants, the beach, La Jolla Cove, and much more. Hope to be able to stay again in the future.
We loved our stay at this property. Our family came into SD for a sport tournament at Del Mar and really appreciated how clean & comfortable the home was. The location was perfect to walk to restaurants or to the Marine Street beach. We really enjoyed having coffee on the rooftop deck in the morning as well. We will definitely visit and hope to stay here again.
This house was perfect in every way, with more than enough room for everyone. Very clean and it had everything you needed to keep you comfortable.
You couldn’t ask for a better location. Central to everywhere we needed to go, and surrounded by great local restaurants.
The house feels surprisingly large for the listed square footage. We were eight adults and some dogs staying for a week and we were very comfortable. The dining room and the patio table seat eight each. There are plenty of restaurants within few blocks, The sea and some beaches are within 15 min walk. The house is a bit shabby and shows some rug stains, but that is normal for properties that allow dogs. All appliances work and there were no plumbing or electrical problems. Overall a pleasant vacation.
Excellent locationEach bedroom has its own bathroom--very nicePleasant large kitchen but lacking supplies like saran-wrap, ziplock bags, coffee & creamer, serving bowlsNo local TV stationsBeach chairs and boogie boards providedNice to have use of garageLots of towels; nice bathroom amenities (makeup cloths, Q-tips, soaps, shampoo, etc.)Beautiful view from terrace with comfortable seatingNice large dining table for meals and card gamesTHE DOOR LOCKS! Never could open back doorAC & Fans availableInadequate dishwasher soap, and detergent for washing machine
Great property centrally located, walking distance to all amenities. Having parking was a great bonus to this property as street parking is difficult in the area.
The home is very large and spacious with plenty of room. Could easily accommodate 2 families of 4.
One thing, though, a blender would have been nice.
The house was in a quiet neighbourhood near restaurants and groceries. It is located within walking distance to the beach and the Main Street of La Jolla. The house itself is spacious with lots of bathrooms and amenities, great for families or a group, but it is a bit dated and tired. Having Saran Wrap or Tupperware for leftovers would be a nice addition for the kitchen. The host was very responsive and the instructions were excellent. All in all, a good stay.

Thank you for your feedback! As mentioned in the description, we strive our best to provide a comfortable and more importantly affordable home for families and groups to stay in, but there will naturally be normal wear and tear. We're glad to hear that overall you still had a good stay.
This home has everything my friends and I needed for a short trip to La Jolla. Nick had plenty of accommodations for small children which helped tremendously. Access to the garage was clutch when on street parking was non existent.
We went to El Pescador
( in my opinion the best restaurant in La Jolla ) multiple times which you can see from the rooftop patio. Would highly recommend this home for a big family, multiple friends groups, or anyone looking for a cozy residential spot in central La Jolla.

Interior Not Updated
Home shows better online than in person. We rent homes often when traveling, just wasn't impressed with the interior at all. Location was in walking distance to restaurants etc, but didn't really hang out too much at the house. Best part was the outdoor patio area. Didn't hang out on rooftop either, light was out and couldn't see at night. Anyway Thanks for Hosting us.

Thank you for your feedback Aimee! Our goal is to provide a comfortable and functional home rather than a luxurious one and while some furniture has changed (e.g. new rugs, curtains) we strive to keep our listing description accurate. This is reflected in all other reviews. We have confirmed both lights on the rooftop are both working as expected (we do ask guests to not go on the rooftop past quiet hours 10 pm+). If future guests have any concerns about maintenance, please feel free to reach out!
Overall, the space was nice and clean. Easy entry once code is known. It was a little hard to find at first due to all the greenery in the front. But the privacy was super nice! In my opinion, all of the rugs should be more secured to the floor, as our group had some folks who stuggled. We did find an ant trail in the room with the 4 twin beds, some of which were in the bed (spraying for ants is a suggestion). Otherwise, this place was pretty awesome to stay at and held everyone rather comfortably!

Thank you for your feedback! Unfortunately with the unusual heat wave during your stay, the ants came out in force (some previous guests also left food out overnight in the kitchen) :( We've since sprayed the property!
