Felt like coming to a well cared for friend's home. The fresh flowers, fruit, and some goodies stocked in the fridge were really nice. The only thing missing was the hostess being there in person!
I’m touched by your words. Thank you! Thoughtful guests like you are what keeps me going and my housekeeper thanks you for making her job so easy too.
3 days in Volcano
We stayed in volcano for three nights and it was the perfect location to explore this side of the island. Peggy was a great host and made sure we got settled in and had everything we needed. The home itself was beautiful and had amazing views of lush rainforest from almost everywhere in the house. Whether you’re looking to unwind and get some peace and quiet or just have a great spot to come back to after full days of exploring the island, this is your place!
Exceptional, the word that comes to mind that describes these guests. Not only kind and considerate, but when I walked into my home after check-out I thought my housekeeper had already done her job. My home was left as if it was never touched.
We had a very comfortable stay at this property. Peggy is very accommodating and responsive. She has a beautiful home - we really enjoyed hanging out on the patio in the evenings.
Peaceful rainforest retreat!
This house was my family’s favorite! The house is comfortable and inviting, and the host is very responsive and hospitable. The stars at night were amazing! We loved sitting on the porch watching the birds and listening to the frogs. We are grateful for a restful and enjoyable stay!
Mahalo for making your Volcano stay at Pele’s Secret Garden. You were such a pleasure to host, so easy to communicate with and considerate! I’m so happy you enjoyed yourselves. Please come back again!
Living in a forest!
Secluded, natural environment just minutes from the Volcano NP front entrance. Cool breeze. Stocked refrigerator. Loved hearing the birds in the surrounding trees. The house interior was damp (we are in the middle of a rainforest) and unfortunately we weren't able to figure out the dehumidifier. We should note that those with mold allergies (like my wife and daughter) may be uncomfortable.
Mahalo for your friendly review. Mold spores can be an issue living in a rain-forest.
Almost too comfortable
This place welcomes you, almost to a fault. :-) I say this in jest, because the home was so comfortable we found it easy to sit around reading and enjoying the home instead of going out and experiencing the beauty that is Hawaii. We found everything we needed from linens and towels to a wine opener and coffee grinder. When I had a question, I was able to immediately reach the owner who was always gracious and very helpful. We have used VRBO all over the world and this stay was definitely in the top few of our experiences.
Mahalo for your warm review. Hosting guests like you make it all worth our while. We truly appreciate your business.
Please come back and stay again!
Located within the 'Kilauea' area, one of the most Active Volcano in the US; with two eruption and most recent located in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park of Halema'umau as the molten lava continues to reach the top of the crater floor. Pu'u Oo continues to rumble and flow, often times visible entering the Pacific Ocean. Come feel the pulse.
