We’ve just spent a week at Birds-I-Vue and have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodation is spacious, airy and fully equipped with everything we could want and more. Regulars to Beer this was our first time at this particular property and we will definitely be looking to stay here again!
We over our time in Beer. Fantastic views, and spacious accommodation and a great location to walk in to the village. Felt very welcome and safe in these strange times. The accommodation is not super modern but very comfortable and perfect for our family. Host is very commutative.
A quiet location with great views across Beer village and bay
The property suited us well, the large conservatory was a pleasant surprise and the views from the first floor bedroom were great
The cleanliness on arrival was disappointing considering we were delayed in being allowed to check in due to a deep clean between bookings. We found the floors had not been hovered or mopped Nd there was dog hair in the conservatory from a previous visitor
The pillows in the first floor bedroom could do with being changed as revealed when stripping the bed!
Overall though a great holiday assisted by some good weather
We have stayed in the property 3 or 4 times, love the location and the views. However I found the house not as clean as in previous visits with sticky finger marks and general grease on the kitchen cupboards. I recommend a deep clean. Sticky finger marks on the dining table and glass side table in the lounge. Under the beds had not been vacuumed found lots of fluff and dead moths and living spiders. Our bedroom upstairs had clean bedding but was very creased, looked like it had been pulled from the tumble dryer after it had cooled down and was supper creased which wasn’t very attractive. Again under the beds had not been vacuumed. The property could do with a face lift which is understandable but lack of cleanliness is unforgivable. Also the bathroom downstairs had dried urine stains on the seat.Even though we love the house, sadly I don’t think we will return. Such a shame.
A great holiday property. Everything we needed for a 2 week stay with children. The views are stunning and the size of the property was super. We enjoyed walking into the village and walking along the beach. It certainly kept us all fit!! :-)

Perfect location
A lovely property in an ideal location. 5 mins walk to Beer village ( 10 mins back up steep hill!) and 2 mins. walk to Downs and coastal path. Wonderful if you have dogs with you. However unable to give 5 stars due to a few problems. When we arrived and opened the fridge freezer it was covered in black mould. The kitchen sink was still stained from previous occupants as were the basins in the bathroom! There were no cleaning materials whatsoever. On contacting the owner I did receive an apology but I was told that guests normally provided their own cleaning equipment! As we were staying for 2 weeks I did request fresh linen and towels for our second week (as there was only 1 hand towel between two of us) but apparently this wasn’t provided although it could be at a cost of £50! Having stayed in numerous holiday cottages over a period of years, cleaning materials have always been provided, as has fresh linen for a 2 week stay. Maybe this needs to be made clearer in the information section. Anyway we didn’t let this spoil our holiday in Beer, we were blessed with 2 weeks of fantastic weather in October, and the days that we didn’t go out, it was so relaxing just sitting admiring the views from the garden/balcony/conservatory.

Beautiful is all I can say
Stayed for two weeks in July, didn't need to go anywhere else. Birds I Vue was large and well equipped, with lovely gardens and the views are amazing. My wife and myself had the bedroom on the first floor with its balcony, which had even better views and with the hot nights we were able to have the balcony doors open giving a nice breeze through. My daughter her husband and young daughter used the ground floor bedrooms and found these to be very good with plenty of space.
Beer and the surrounding areas are amazing, the walk back from Beer village up the steep hill is a killer for us unfit folk but I found a pint of local cider in the Anchor Inn before attempting it always helped followed by a nice cold drink in the garden.
I found dealing with the owner Charlotte be an easy pleasant experience.
We will deferentially be stopping at Birds I Vue again, to be honest I'd love to be there right now.

Birds i Vue has loads of space and is situated close to Beer itself. We really enjoyed our stay and, with better weather,we would have spent more time in the lovely gardens. I highly recommend the fresh crab from the shop on the beach.

Relaxing setting with very picturesque English village views
A lovely house with lots of space and light with fascinating gardens all around. The beach at Beer, although pebbly was very peaceful in the early morning for a stroll with a delightful hearty breakfast at Duckys to start the day.

Love Birds I View. Property is fabulous, needs a little updating but it is home from home.
Wonderful holiday. Our second time here and looking forward to our next stay. Love the area and the property. Trees could do with pruning so that we can see that wonderful view of the sea. All in all a great holiday.

We would go back tomorrow
Wonderful property, the size of which is not given justice by the photographs. All you could wish for. We could have visited a lot more places but this was home from home and we just loved sitting in the garden taking in the views. Nothing else to add - this says it all 👍

Well presented, excellant views and garden, ample parking, easy access to area, highly recommend
We had a wonderful time and thank the owner Charlotte for the opportunity to stay at Birds-I-vue. The Bungalow was excellant and we felt at ease instantly on arriving, plenty of room for our party and the dogs loved the garden as we did. The village had all we wanted and it was very easy to travel to other locations in a short time.Would love to come back here again soon.

Fabulous property, fabulous location
A very spacious property with everything you could need for your stay. The garden is a delight, very mature shrubs etc and totally safe for the dog. In a good location for Beer village, which is a very pretty village as well as costal walks to Branscombe and Seaton. You can't go wrong with renting this property.
