About this property
Ski-in/Out w/Private Hot Tub & Gorgeous Views - Saddle Ridge - Slopeside Retreat
Welcome to the Saddle Ridge Slopeside Retreat!
This beautifully remodeled 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom townhouse sits right in the heart of Saddle Ridge at Moonlight Basin, and from the moment you walk in, you will understand why people come back year after year. Ski-in/ski-out access, sweeping views of the Spanish Peaks, and a private hot tub waiting for you at the end of the day. It checks every box.
The main level sets the tone. An open concept living, dining, and kitchen area flows naturally together, anchored by a cozy stone fireplace surrounded by leather furniture. After a big day on the mountain, this is where you land. The dining table seats six and the views from it are the kind that make you forget what you were talking about mid-sentence. The kitchen is fully stocked with stainless steel appliances and plenty of counter space to cook whatever you are in the mood for.
Head upstairs and you will find the master suite, a true retreat. King bed, a cozy reading nook, gorgeous mountain views, and a private ensuite bathroom with a separate shower room. It feels more like a boutique hotel room than a ski condo.
Downstairs, the other two bedrooms are perfect for families. The second bedroom has a queen bed and excellent views. The third bedroom has bunk beds that kids absolutely love, with direct access to the back patio and the hot tub. Soak under the stars, then head to bed. That is a pretty perfect end to any day in Big Sky.
With brand new flooring, exposed wood beams, Montana inspired decor, a washer and dryer, and ski-in/ski-out access right from the front door, Saddle Ridge Slopeside Retreat has everything you need to make your Big Sky trip one you will be talking about for a long time.
This property does not have access to the private lodge at Moonlight.
Winter Big Sky Resort is the biggest skiing in America, and it earns that title every single year. With 5,800 skiable acres, 4,350 feet of vertical drop, and an average of 400+ inches of snowfall annually, it delivers for every level of skier and rider. When you are ready to step off the slopes, the historic Lone Mountain Ranch has 85+ kilometers of groomed Nordic trails through the wilderness, voted the #1 cross-country ski resort in North America. Beyond that, Yellowstone National Park, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, dog sledding, ice fishing, and world-class spa experiences are all within easy reach.
Summer The mountains do not slow down when the snow melts. Within minutes you have world-class fly fishing, river rafting, golf, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and zip-lining at your doorstep. Follow the scenic Gallatin River along historic Highway 191 and you are at the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park in just 45 minutes. Stay long enough and you will find free concerts, farmers markets, and weekly events scattered throughout the season.

Excellent location on the mountain. Lots of room to spread out in the condo , after tough day of skiing.

Incredibly Average
Nice place, but not truly a ski-in/ski-out (a good bit of walking). Advertised for 8 people, but that includes a futon or couch, only 6 bath towels were on site and no soap or shampoo, but management did have it sent right away. Trash had to be driven to a sight over a mile away.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback—we're glad you enjoyed the home overall!
You're right that this particular unit is located just across the road from the slope, rather than directly on it like some of the other Saddle Ridge's. We apologize for any confusion, and we’ll continue working to make that clearer in our listing so guests know exactly what to expect.
As for trash, this home uses a centralized disposal site as part of local efforts to limit wildlife interaction and protect the area—but we understand it can be inconvenient. For guests without a vehicle or for whom the site feels too far, our team is always happy to assist with trash removal if we’re contacted during the stay.
We also appreciate you pointing out the towel and toiletry shortage. That should have been stocked prior to arrival, and we’re glad our team could respond quickly to make it right.
Thank you again for sharing your thoughts! We hope to have the chance to host you again! Best, Auburn F. Guest Service Manager.
The saddle ranch community was a very convenient ski in /out stay and had incredible views from the deck in the morning! We had a group of 8 staying there and would have liked some more toiletries and towels available! — to note, the skyline bus system that runs to the main base only runs until 6 pm and the buses were not on time when we did use them (this is something that was not very clear) thankfully we had rental vehicles to rely on after we figured that out! Overall we were happy with the stay and now know what to expect. We would happily stay again!

Thank you, Linnea! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed the Saddle Ridge neighborhood and took advantage of being so close to the slopes! Our team works hard to ensure you have the best possible experience, so you are always welcome to make requests for things like more towels and we can accommodate anyway we can. As for the Skyline bus, like most public transportation, the times can often vary due to things like weather and busyness, so we do always recommend a rental car to travel around on your own schedule. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we would love to have you back again in the future! -Amber H, Guest Services Manager
we enjoyed our stay so much.
the first thing I noticed was the incredible view out the patio on the main floor.
clear and unobstructed views of the mountains and beautiful pine tress.
I really liked the fireplace. it came in handy on the cold mornings. It was nice sitting by the fire, drinking coffee.
the kitchen was well stocked with the essentials.
the beds were soft and comfortable.
i really liked how the master suite was 2 floors away from the lower bedrooms.
there were no issues parking.
the town was less than 10 minutes away.
we enjoyed zip lining, fly fishing, and white water rafting with Montana Whitewater and spent two days seeing all the Yellowstone national park has to offer.
All in all a great vacation!!!

Thank you so much for your kind words! We are happy your enjoyed your family vacation in Big Sky!
Multiple pics on the listing do not match the property. The bunk bed is not wood, but aluminum and squeaks loudly with any movement made. There was only one couch in the living space, not two as shown which limited seating all together and had to move dining chairs to the area to do so.
There was also no dishwasher tablets provided and had to purchase our own from a shop in the village.
Lastly, there was no communication on where to put trash once full. We could not locate a dumpster and the listing didn't mention where to throw out. So we had to place them outside to not stink up the place.
Other than the above, everything else was great. The place was very clean and matched the listing.

Saddle Ridge Condo L3
When we arrived the entry code given did not open the door. I had to call and a new code was issued. There was no Kleenex in master bathroom and there was no broom or dust pan. I ask for these items and they were brought to the condo the next day. The master bedroom smoke alarm was defective and removed. I am not aware that it was replaced. The condo is four levels. It is cold in the bottom level two bedrooms and hot in the top level were the master bedroom is. The property was clean and well kept. It is not a ski in ski out property. There is a short walk to the end of the parking lot to ski down to a lift, and a much longer walk back from Moonlight Lodge. I have certainly had longer walks and you do not have to get a shuttle. There are good views of the mountains from the different levels in the condo. It would have been nice to have access to Moonlight Lodge (members only) for food as it is an 11 minute drive to the base with limited options and town must be 25 minutes. Trade offs is what it is about. Over all we were very satisfied with the property and the folks a Stay Montana were very helpful.

Henry,
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your stay. I am glad that we were able to get you into the unit immediately and bring you those extra guest supplies. We do provide a detailed digital guest property guide that includes information on how to operated everything at the property and has access to our 24/7 staff and concierge services. The Saddleridge Ski in/out complex is a unique area and is highly sought after for the location just a few steps from the slopes. We are excited that you had a great experience and we would love to host you again!

We really enjoyed the rustic setting, and the Bev Doolittle art was an added bonus. Plenty of kitchen utensils and linens for our group of four.

Not exactly as described
NOT ski in/ski out. Location of lift is misrepresented.
Check out/clean up needs refinement. The garbage disposal is complicated and time consuming. Don't try to do that on the way to the airport or schedule 20 extra minutes.
Just returned from a great 5 days in Big Sky. The resort is massive and once we kind of got our bearings this property served us well. Short walk to slopes in the am and back at end of day. Nice small hot tub with great views. Sleeping accommodations good for 4-5 adults if needed. Only drawbacks were things we have been accustomed too in previous vrbo. No dishwasher pods as required to run dishes before we left or garbage bags. These things seem little but when you get all the way up to The mountain you’ll understand. Garbage has to be taken about 3 miles to a public dumpster which was inconvenient but not end of world. We would definitely stay again but just check to make sure what will be there. Overall clean n convenient.

Not a good choice
Not a good choice to rent. First off the keypad wouldn’t work so checking it took a while.
Next up, we were aware that most places don’t have air conditioning. However, most places provide box fans to put in front of your windows. Not only did they not provide any, the master bedroom doesn’t even have exterior windows. There were also holes in several of the window screens throughout the house so we would wake up every morning with mosquito bites. The mattresses and sheets were also terrible. So needless to say it was not an enjoyable stay.
There were six people in our family and this condo was perfect. There was plenty of space for everyone. The views were amazing. The condo had everything that we needed.

The Saddle Ridge condos are some of the hottest spots right near Big Sky Resort, and also have breathtaking views any time of the year. Spacious enough for a big group, but quaint enough to feel homey.

Great location near the lift.
We enjoyed our visit hear but the place needs some repairs. The bunks are sketchy, trouble gaining access to unit, lights are burned out, pull out couch is very very uncomfortable. Recliner needs to sit adjacent the post or it will tip over (side/leg is broken). Kitchen is well stocked with dishes and utensils, pots and pans. Fireplace and hot tub - Awesome! All in all - the location is great and we had a good time.
First time at Big Sky and it was awesome. This property was very comfortable for all. I recommend AWD vehicle if during winter. They keep roads plowed but it can remain hard packed if there has been good snow. Views from living room were incredible.
